Using Senuti to get i-pod onto new computer

I have successfully downloaded Senuti and found the music from my old i-pod on the new computer but now I have no idea how to get that music actually transferred into i-tunes. I've tried to "copy" all music, I've tried the "transfer" option. I've tried to manually click and drag songs over but no luck! It looked as though some songs had started to transfer but then I started getting error messages saying that "X song" could not be transferred for almost every one of them. What is going on here?

The usual method is the file/add to library menu in the iTunes tool bar.

Getting iTunes library onto new computer

Ok, so about a month ago, my computer died of a broken motherboard. the hard drive did survive, however, and now lives on in an external case. i purchased a new computer, and do not know how to go about getting all of my music onto it. i currently have:
1) An iPod nano full of my music
2) my old computer's hard drive, also full of the same music
3) My new computer, with NO music at all on it
What would be the best way to get my entire music library into iTunes on my new computer? The iPod or the old computer's hard drive? what would be the easiest way to do it? i do have quite a few songs purchased from iTunes. Thanks in advance.

I recently had my laptop stolen ALONG with my external hard drive with all my backups. How can I get my OLD tunes into the NEW laptop? Can I hook up my iTouch and make the songs go from the iTouch TO the new laptop?

I have aperture 3 and it is not allowing me to transfer the application into my new imac. Is there an update, etc. I can get to ba able to put it on my new imac without buying a new aperture software?

Do you have Aperture 3 on disk, or did you purchase it from the App Store?
Are you trying to migrate Aperture 3 from your old Mac to your new Mac? This is not advisable, even if it seems to work. It's better to install the pro apps from scratch on a new Mac (or if you upgrade to a new release of OS X.)

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
When you turn on the new iMac for the first time, Setup Assistant will ask you to restore a backup, so connect the external disk and follow steps to restore all your files to your new iMac. Your new Mac will have the same settings and programs as your old computer.
In other cases, I would recommend to restore the whole backup without using Migration Assistant or Setup Assistant, but a Late 2012 iMac uses a special OS X build, so the OS X version that you're using on your old Mac won't work on the new one. Transferring playlists from I-Pod to new computer

I'm pretty sure this question has been asked before : I recently purchased a new computer as my old one "died". I have all my music files in an external hard drive so they were preserved. When I downloaded I-tunes on my new computer, it did not transfer any of my playlists onto the new computer. They are still on my i-pod. How do I get them on my new computer from my i-pod? Everything will copy over just as it is on the iPod EXCEPT playlists. You will have to manually recreate these yourself.

I got Creative Cloud through my school last semester. Just a month ago, my computer crashed and I had to have my hard drive replaced, losing my entire creative cloud. I got a new computer and tried to reinstall cloud but when I put in my depemption it says that its already been redeemed. Which, I would expect, since I was never able to deactivate cloud on my last harddrive.

You simply sign in with your Adobe ID in CC app. There is no need to run the redemption procedure just for a reinstall. If you need to reset activations, contact support by web chat.

I've bought an Apple USB drive, can I use this to load DVD's onto my computer so I only need to take the laptop on holiday with me rather than the USB drive and dvd's?

I've bought one of the Apple USB Superdrives thinking I could use it to load DVD's and save them onto my macbook pro, can anyone confirm if I can or can't do this?

If you haven't done this before, there are a few things you need to know. Sorry to say that this is not yet a simple, straightforward process like it is for music CDs. It helps to be a little geeky. You will need to make some choice about file format and file size if there is any chance that the imported discs will take up more space than you have available on your hard drive. If you are willing to learn, you should read the Handbrake User Guide and other articles on the Web about importing DVDs.
If you think this is starting to look complicated and you don't have time to figure it out before the trip, it might be easier to just bring the discs.
I have found that Handbrake can't import every disc. I think Mac DVD Ripper Pro is a much easier program to use, and it will import almost any DVD pretty reliably, but it costs money. For me it is worth it.
No matter which way you do it, it is going to take a lot of time to import a bunch of discs. It is going to take a lot more time than importing music CDs.
