Using skype to go to call Brazil I could not hear ...

I call from US to Brazil on the regular basis for a couple years using my skype to go numbers, but for some reason the last few days I have had an issue where they can hear me but I can't hear them in the other end of the call. Most recently last Sunday and Monday and today 27/05/2014 I could not hear the recipient, but they could hear me.
Why is that happening ? And more important how can I get this fix?

I'm having the same problem calling Argentina, and it's so fustrating because I've spent hours on line with a skype customer service rep, to be exact with 4 different ones and they all told me to do something different....I tried a supposed customer service phone number 800 number first time they hung up on me when I explained my problem, second time I was put on hold, the third time I was giving a different 800 number which it had nothing to do with skype it was an 800 number for Microsoft....I'm very upset and deapointed because I've been a customer for the last two years.. I have a cousin in Argentina that has cancer and it's not doing very well and I just can't keep calling every hour to see if the call goes thru, if anyone gets a soluion to this problem please let me know..

I checked and found that the router did not have the latest firmware.   It does now.   The issue is still there.   I did a little research and found that the model number of my Apple TV (MC572LL/A) shows that it is a 2G version which uses the A4 chip.   The latest version uses the A5 chip and is 1080 capable. Both are supposed to be capable of using type "N" routers.   I don't think that should be an issue but I wonder if later updates may have introduced some issues in the 2G version.
I am going to try changing the "N" channel also- just to see if that makes any difference. The istumbler app does not show any "N" networks in my area so it is defaulting to 149.   I will note that even 1 foot away from the router I only get 75-85% for signal.   I would expect it to be 100% since it is so close.   I am also seeing noise go up from typically 13% to 21% when it is on channel 3 and that close.       I will play change locations and channels and see if there is any improvement.

First of all, make sure that your iPhone as the most recent iOS available. Check in "Settings>General>Software Update".
One other problem could be your microphone. Does it work for anything else other than a call?

complete reset and reprogrammed Iphone, same result.
Called Apple support and received a new Iphone4 next day.
Updated and programmed.
It works.

I called from my iMac which has snow leopard OS 10.6.8. I'm not experienced with Facetime but thought I would try it. I returned a call to my daughter's iphone 3 or 4. I'm not sure what she has. I could hear and see her very clearly. She could see me, but could not hear me. I've checked the sound settings, the mute button and whatever support info I could find, but nothing has been helpful. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?

If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

You should ask your relative to physically take the iPhone to the store rather than shipping it because as diesel vdub has said:
"No Apple store will accept an iPhone shipped to them"
All you have to do is safely pack and ship your iPhone from the Philppines to your California-based relative.

If there's an Apple store nearby make an appointment with the genius bar to have it checked. Be sure to sync it and back it up, as well as import your photos and videos to your computer and back up your contacts separately (such as by sync them with iCloud) in case it needs to be replaced.

Using Skype as an inbound Call Center?

For my business, what we have been doing isL
-Bought 1 skype number for 1 account
- Forward all incoming customer support calls to the phone number
- All employees logged into that 1 skype account on their computer, able to answer as calls come in.
However, when we broke the 10 person employee mark, things got odd. People started getting signed out of their account. This login limit is inhibitting our growth, as we cant have more than 10 people ready to anaswer phones on one account, but need it.
What would we have to do so even if we had 15 people on calls at once, they can all be logged in to that 1 account, and my employees can pick up calls as they come into that skype number/account?
