Using $(SolutionName) as argument for External Tools?

Is it possible to use $(SolutionName) as argument for External Tools?
I can't get it to work...
I'm using Visual Studio 2013 Pro (paid for)
// Anders

Hi Anders,
I have take a look at my VS 2013 External Tools, there is no $(SolutionName) option. Only $(SolutionFileName) exists. Do I miss something?
And please also refer to
Arguments for External Tools in MSDN for more detailed information.

    Hi mshields1162,
Great question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
First, you may want to choose to have the sidebar displayed for familiarity:
    iTunes 11: Frequently used features
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5649
Afterwards, your device should be displayed if connected:
We'll want to click on it, and choose the Music tab at the top. Let's make sure "Sync Music" is checked:
Afterwards, you'll have the option to sync either the entire music library (for your first iPod), or "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" (for the secondary device). Upon selecting this option, four larger option boxes will appear allowing you to pick and choose what content will be synced. For audiobooks, you may need to do the above in the "Books" section. For a visual instruction on how to do this, see the following:
iTunes 10: Sync to your iPod

    Thanks,
    Matt M.

    Justin is there a way you are aware of at operating system level to teach oracle that it has to access for example 16 different piece of files over a meta file. I saw some definition file like this but I am searching if this is the tools own mapping format;

  • How to configure OWA in multiple AD sites when using one entry point for external OWA clients ?

    Using Exchange 2013 (e2013), SP1.
    Three locations.  (Let's say  Location-A, -B, and C.)
Each Location is an AD site, and physically "remote" from the others.
Each location will have one e2013 server,  each server running both CAS and Mailbox function.
The main location ( LOC-A) is where all external OWA and EAS will "enter" from the Internet, via a firewall.
The E2013 server there will "connect" (?) to the e2013 server for "this mailbox",...at any of the 3 locations.
What "special" configuration do we need on the 2 remote/other e2013 servers for OWA virtual directory (or similar).
It looked like it was working "out of the box".
Some users work OK, with no special changes to anything.
But some users have OWA in a "never ending wait" (browser appears to spin forever),
and that might be due to a different Language at the other locations.
I guess Exchange knows how to "internally route" the OWA traffic from the LOC-A CAS to the LOC-B CAS.
(In Exchange 2007 we called this "Exchange CAS proxy" as I recall, but not sure that term is correct in e2013.)
    Thanks.

Based on my knowledge, if User-A logon OWA in L-B, CAS-B would accept the request first.
Then it detect the User-A's mailbox located in L-A. CAS-B will proxy this request to CAS-A.

  • How do I use iMac as monitor for external DVD player (HDMI to Mini DisplayPort)

iMac 27" (late 2009).  Internal DVD is region locked.  I would like to use an external DVD player to watch DVD's from other regions.
I can't use the new Apple SuperDrive because they say it's not compatible with iMac's before 2012. (Is it??)
My iMac doesn't have Thunderbolt.  It has mini displayport.
I have resigned to getting a generic DVD player and plugging it into the screen.
I have found this in Apple support pages...
Can I use the iMac in TDM as a display for my gaming console, DVD player, or other device?
The Mini DisplayPort port on a supported iMac can receive DisplayPort compliant video and audio signals. Converters not made by Apple may provide options to convert other electrical, video, and audio protocols to Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt compliant signals.
What is DisplayPort compliant video and audio signals?  Does HDMI fit into that signal type?
Is it possible to get an HDMI to Mini DisplayPort converter?
Will it work if I get a generic DVD player with HDMI output? (and connect it to the iMac through MiniDisplayPort)

    First try VLC.
    <http://www.videolan.org>
On many Macs, it will play DVDs even if the region codes don't match.
The Apple SuperDrive should work if you use the terminal (Utilities foldsr) command:
    sudo nvram boot-args="mbasd=1"
There are also non-Apple USB or FireWire external DVD (and Blu-ray) drives, such as:
    <http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/optical-drives/superdrives/>
Apple's DVD player may not work with external drives, but you can use VLC or Blu-ray™ Player
    <http://www.macblurayplayer.com>
There is a converter to connect HDMI to the iMac via TDM
    <http://www.kanexlive.com/xd>
but it will run at 720p (1280 x 720) and may have problems with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) on HDMI from Blu-ray or DVD players.

  • Can't use front USB port for external Hard Drive

I have had some problems for about the past year with the front USB port on my 2009 13in Macbook Pro 5.5.
As you know, there are 2 USB ports on the left side on a 13inch Macbook pro.  The one closest to me (the front one) works fine when I use it with a flash drive.  But when I connect my external 7200RPM external drive to it, after about a minute, it ejects then re-recognizes the disk.
I video edit with FCP and use the external as one of my scratch disks.
At first I thought maybe it was the cord or the drive that was messed up.  But then I connected my other external drive to this port and the same thing happened.
But when I connected it to the back USB port, everything works fine. I haven't had any trouble.  So i make sure it's connected to that port when using the external.
Why would this be happening.  It only screws up when using a standard external drive but not flash drives or any other peripherals.
    Thanks
    Brandon

    Exactly what Ogelthorpe mentioned.
I bought a Seagate 500GB 7200RPM and bought an external case from Staples that has a big fancy led to show HD activity.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Tested it on my PC and it works all the time so it got me stumped.  Thought it was my MB.
Decided to try another external drive drive on my MB and everything works.  So I returned the fancy external enclosure and bought the simple $10 one.
    Now everything works fine.
Maybe changing your external case might help you.

  • How to use SMIME in OWA for External Recipeints

    Hello,
I am using a hybrid on premises active directory with office 365 environment with AD synced to office 365 using DIRSYNC. We are trying to achieve being able to send encrypted emails to clients using SMIME in OWA. We have
used certutil to import certificates for some internal users which seems to let you send an encrypted email to them. However when creating a contact in AD for the external user and successfully importing the cert (you can see it in the userCertificate and
userSMIMECertificate attribute in the object)  we are unable to email the recipient with an encrypted email as OWA cannot find the certificate. Also the internal users certificates appear in theirs entries in the GAL however the external contacts
do not have their certificate included.
Could someone advise me how to use OWA to send SMIME encrypted emails to external recipients. You can't add a certificate to a contact in OWA as far as I can see.
    Many Thanks
    Paul

    Hi,
Please refer to the following article :
    http://blogs.office.com/2014/02/26/smime-encryption-now-in-office-365/
    Using S/MIME in OWA
In OWA, users can choose different options to encrypt the message and/or digitally sign it using S/MIME.
    Hope this helps!

  • Using different SMTP port for external user registration

    Hi,
I need to configure a different SMTP port rather than the default port 25 for sending all external user registation invites, reset password, etc... Would it possible to configure that? I am using Adobe Policy Server 7.0.2.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Prem.

    Hola,
Ok a small 'enhancement' to  CL_HRRCF_ADDRESS_SERVICE->IS_EMAIL_UNIQUE has done the trick. Not exactly a best practice but will get me through this testing. NO this will not be going to production. This is strictly a test.
    Cheers!

  • What to use instead of HTMLB for external facing portals

    Hi all
We all know that HTMLB is on it's way out and I was just wondering what to replace it with, especially when dealing with external facing portals and the simple portal framework.
Since HTMLB and WD won't cut it the only thing there is left is the AbstractPortalConmponent.
Has anyone had success with implementing another framework, like for instance MyFaces (http://myfaces.apache.org/) or Tapestry (http://tapestry.apache.org/), in the APC. Or perhaps someone developed a entirely new framework for the APC to use?
If you have knowledge or ideas, please comment them.
    Best regards
    Thomas Bentzen

    Hi Harini
I was never talking about tags, and I personally like avoid JSP's altogether (strictly personal opinion).
I was thinking more of what to do in the long run. I mean writing JSP's for the view and using APC as the controller is not a very performant way of doing development, perhaps we should aim a little higher and perhaps implement something there already is a standard and already fulfills the requirements of x509. If we're even a little more clever than that we might choose a framework that already have support for AJAX (HttpXML requests).
I don't really know what to do at this time and therefore was asking for ideas, on the architectural level, but also implementable.
    Any ideas?

  • Using IMAC (Intel) monitor for external machine

I recently bought an Intel 24" IMAC , which is mahvelous, EXCEPT, (shockingly enough!) it won't run all my beloved system 9 aps. Even worse, it apparently won't run any PhotoShop, except for the latest & greate$t version. Is there any way that I can park my trusty blue/white G4 next to it & use the G4, running system 9, to drive the IMAC's lovely monitor? I realize that this is kind of doing things backwards, but, hey, I didn't start this.

If you are using PS 5.5, why not just buy a copy of Photoshop Elements 4. You can get a copy for $50-75 if you look around.
It has almost all of the features (and a few more, actually) of PS 5.5, EXCEPT you cannot do CMYK work. If you aren't doing prepress work, then Elements is a steal.
If you REALLY want to save the pennies, buy an older copy on ebay then you can buy an upgrade online for 20-30 bucks. That's a lot of trouble though, for not much savings.
For that matter, you might shop around for an OS X version of PS online. Many people are upgrading to CS2 and CS3, so there might be some deals to be had on ebay.

  • Can EBS E-Tax be used as Tax Engine For External Systems

    Dear E-Tax Gurus,
I have a question regarding to e-tax engine in R12. Assuming we have EBS R12 and another system that is not EBS, but both has same customer base and same product base (so customer and product which we get is exactly same from that system). Is there a public nor private API that calculates tax for given item, customer etc?
What could be the consequences if we create a wrapper API that uses some internal API if there is available?
    Thanks for replies.
    Bilal

To answer to your question, EBTax cannot be used on non-EBS. EBTax is an integral part of financials suite, especially with AR.

  • Which option do you use? PSD or TIFF for external edits?

I'd like to hear why you use PSD or TIFF for external edits. Why do you choose one over the other? Do you wish you had a choice, as in an option, when you click on Edit in External Editor?

I did a little reading on this and this is what I have found so far:
Deke McClelland in Adobe Photoshop CS2 one-on-one states:
"TIFF is a wonderful format to use when handing off CMYK files because it enjoys wide support and prints without incident."
He also states "Photoshop also lets you save layers to the TIFF and PDF formats, but where multilayer compositions are concerned, the native PSD Format enjoys wider support among other imaging applications (including, older versions of Photoshop itself)."
    Classroom In A Book states:
"TIFF is used to exchange files between applications and computer platforms. TIFF is a flexible format supported by virtually all pain, image-editing, and page-layout applications. Also, virtually all destop scanners can produce TIFF images.
"PSE is the default file format. Because of the tight integration between Adobe products, other Adobe applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe GoLive can directly import PSD files and preserve many Photoshop features.
Apple Aperture 1.5 by Mike Cuenca:
"PSD: The Photoshop proprietary format is widely used by digital imaging professionals because it supports the storage of alpha channels and layers. Aperture will preserve this extra data byt will not display the layers or channels. PSD files are not compressed, and although they are intended for use within Photoshop, they are becoming more widely accepted outside Photoshop."
"TIFF: The TIFF format is the recommended format for high quality storage of master images. It has a loss-less compression method that can be applied, but more often the images are stored uncompressed. The TIFF format is also the most widely used format for images destined to be printed on a printing press."
Maybe some of this will help

  • Popup for what tool I'm using?

I like to work in PS in fullscreen mode with the panels hidden. I also use the "precise" cursor for the tools. This makes it difficult to know what tool I'm using. For example, the cursor for the regular lasso tool and the polygonal lasso tool are the same, making it difficult to know what tool I'm using without showing the panels. Is possible to get like a popup (growl-notification or something?) when I change tools? A setting to change or an add-on perhaps?
    thanks

I know of no such function that would work in full screen mode yet.
Quite frankly I don’t think there would be much merit in one, since many professional users probably use two screen set-ups anyway.
In case no bettewr advice should be fortcoming, you could use a Keyoboard Shortcut to trigger a Script that determines the currently selected tool and raises an alert of that.
But that would take focus and needs to be OK-ed or cancelled and the tools’ stringIDs are somewhat different from the regular names, so it may be a bad work-around.

Since posting, I have moved to 1.5 but still have problems. Also, I am using Linux not Windows. For testing purposes I set up an external tool called "echo" with the following configuration:
    Program executable: /bin/echo
    Arguments: TERM:${env:var=TERM} sqldev.conn:${sqldev.conn} sqldev.dbuser:${sqldev.dbuser}
    Run Directory: /bin
I have added the tool to "Tools Menu", "Navigator Context Menu" and "Code Editor Context Menu"
    Enabled is set to "Always"
If I highlight the a connection and then right click, and select "echo" the following is displayed in the log:
    /bin>
    /bin/echo TERM: sqldev.conn: sqldev.dbuser:
    TERM: sqldev.conn: sqldev.dbuser:
In order to get any of the values populated I have to expand not only the connection so that all the items (Tables, Views, Indexes, etc) are displayed but also one of these sub items as well. If I expand tables and then right click on any given table I will finally get some output from my echo command:
    /bin>
    /bin/echo TERM: sqldev.conn:jdbc:oracle:thin:@db.server.domain:1526:prod sqldev.dbuser:
    TERM: sqldev.conn:jdbc:oracle:thin:@db.server.doamin:1526:prod sqldev.dbuser:
It seems to me that if I want to run SQL*PLus I should just highlight the connection name and it should use that information in whatever external tool I have configured.

  • Color Space for external editing

I know I can set LightRoom Preferences to open an image in Photoshop, but it seems my only choices are ProPhoto RGB, Adobe RGB or sRGB as working spaces. I'd like to set it up to use BetaRGB as my standard editing space. I know I could open in ProPhoto and convert to Beta RGB, but that is an extra step each and every time I edit an image. I would prefer to go straight from LR to Beta RGB in Photoshop.
Is there any way to do this or am I stuck with one of the big three? If I can change it, how?
    Thanks,
    Lou Dina

Thanks...that'll work, though I'd prefer if Adobe allowed the use of any profile for external editing to retain the features you mentioned.
I just created an Export preset, with Beta RGB, full sized PSD, save to same folder, add to catalog and open in Photoshop after the export is complete. That'll work.
    Thanks,
    Lou
