Using Superscript in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

I would like to know how to enter scientific formulae in my Adobe documents. Is there a way to suberscript exponents? The Adobe online help and built-in help are NOT easy to use and, in my opinion, useless.

I read and sometimes write in the Premiere and Premiere Elements and Encore forums
When someone asks for a product to either extend one of those program's functions (a plugin) or to do something the Adobe program just won't do (usually, asking about converting a non-edit video codec to one that Prem/PreElem will edit) someone (sometimes me, if I see the message first) will post the name of software to do the job that Prem/PreElem won't do
I read and rarely write in the Photoshop forum... and I have sometimes seen other software mentioned when someone just can't get Photoshop to work
I read and rarely write in the Dreamweaver forum... and I have often seen other software mentioned when someone needs a function that is not possible in Dreamweaver
I also read and sometimes write in this forum... and when someone can't get Acrobat to work with Office 2007 (usually but not always an older version of Acrobat) I will mention that Microsoft has a free plugin that MAY do what the user needs
As far as McD -vs- BK... when was the last time you heard someone complain that they couldn't get a menu item from McD to "install" into their mouth?

I have been supplied info in an email to copy and paste for a new product purchase "Adobe Acrobat XI Pro OCR" but am unsure how and where to copy and paste to. There is also a link below the serial number. I have tried entering serial number into my Adobe ID but it is not recognising one of the letters in the 24 Digit serial number??? Also I have tried other products previously downloaded to convert a 7 page PDF file on my Mac and convert it to a Word doc but everything I have tried is converting the file to display some text correctly but also displays random symbols and fonts in place of the handwritten info filled in on the form... also getting blank pages included instead of the info??? Would appreciate some help... I am older generation and not always tech savvy, and it is doing my head in haha.

Hi. I use Adobe Acrobat XI pro to make a PDF ebook embedded with audio. It works really well on my computer-I can read the book and hear the auto play mp3. The problem is, when I send it to my customers, they have difficulty hearing the audio. A few of them say they have Flash player on their PC and somehow they still can't hear, some say their Google Chrome browser tells them they've already got one flash player while they try to download one. For me, I had to download two versions of Flash player to be able to access to the audio. I don't know what the problem is, is it because it's the latest version of Adobe Acrobat XI pro that people with older version of Adobe reader or flash player can't open it properly? Or is it something else? How can I make sure every customer with different system can access to my books? Hope to hear from you ASAP! Thank you very much.

And how are the customers accessing the PDFs?
    What devices are they using?
What program or apps with versions are they using?
I this age of other then PDF eBooks formats and reader program and apss for computers and mobile devices for these formats I would look at creating the books in one or more of the eBook formats.
Google Chrome and FireFox both have their own version of a PDF reader plug-in and they are well known to be less capable than Adobe Reader. It is possible to configure these products to use Adobe Reader.

  • Viewing PDF Portfolio using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro in Sharepoint Foundation 2013

When opening a PDF Portfolio, created using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, in Sharepoint Foundation 2013 the pages are blank in the default Layout view but you can see the contents in File view. How do we correct that so the files appear in both views? Local IT stated it is an ADOBE problem.

  • Why can't I create Fillable PDF Forms using Adobe Acrobat X Pro and upload to Dreamweaver?

I can create fillable PDF Forms using Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I can email them to someone using Adobe Reader (free) and they can fill them, save and email to me. But when I upload the form to Dreamweaver CS5, the form is not fillable. And yes, I saved it as a Reader Extended PDF-Enable Additional Features.

I see no reason for this form to fail in Reader. Some questions for you.
    1. On the system with Adobe Reader, what is the system and the version of Adobe Reader?
    2. Are you viewing the PDF in a browser on the system with Reader, or in an Adobe Reader window?
    3. If it's a browser
    (a) what is the browser
    (b) if you download the file instead, and open directly in Reader, what happens?

  • How to replace numbers with text in tax return pdf using Adobe Acrobat X Pro

How do I replace numbers with text in tax return pdf using Adobe Acrobat X Pro? The tax return was created using CCH software. Thanks for your review.

Thanks Bill for your quick reply. CCH software is one of the major
suppliers of tax return software. I found an internal source that helped me
make the changes from numbers to text i.e. "$123,456" to "See Schedule O".
I am not sure if I am working in form or final text. Thanks again! Kelly

  • Can I use Adobe Acrobat X Pro to batch convert v1.6 PDF files to v1.3?

Recently I have posted up a project so the contractor can read the text in the PDF and create hyperlinks from these text. These PDFs are in format of engineering drawings.
He informed me that he was going to use PHP to read the PDF text as javascript cannot.
He then asked me to convert the version of our current PDF files from v1.6 to a lower version: v1.3, because php cannot work with higher PDF versions.
So I found this PDF version converter: [link removed by forum host] but it only converts one by one. I have like a few hundreds of them, so I really need something to do batch convert.
Could anyone help me out here? We (the small business I am working at) do not have Adobe Acrobat X Pro but will buy it if it can do the job.
Otherwise could anyone advise me of any other software that can do this?
    Thanks heaps.

Yes, Acrobat XI Pro can do this very easily. You can create an Action that runs the PDF Optimizer tool, which can convert the file content so it's compatible with any earlier version of PDF (as well as other things). Actions can then be run against a folder of files.

    Hi Bill,
Thanks for replying.  The entire message is below.  Any ideas?
Acrobat was unable to make this document accessible because of the following error:
Could not convert the document (exception caught).

  • Can I use my Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro on my new iMac

I have Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro installed on my old iMac. I would like move it to my new iMac (OS 10.6.7). Do you know if Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro is compatible with the new iMacs, and if so, how to move it? I tried dragging my backup folder to the applications folder of my new iMac but when I try to start Acrobat it crashes.

At the very least, you should try re-installing the software. Adobe products put all sorts of support files in various locations. Just dragging the Application to a new hard drive is not enough.
But as has already been suggested, there may be problems with using Acrobat 7 on 10.6. Adobe does provide good information on the extent of incompatibility with newer OSes.
