Using SYSTEM Application to Login through a BSP Application

I configured SSO2 on our server following the steps mentioned in using the SYSTEM application for logon POST. Now, the popup requesting username and password does not pop up. But I have another problem. I am not able to enter Service Users here. It is accepting only Dialog Users. Can you please help me out, as I thought service users were for using WAS based applications.
Thank you

Hi Gladson
I did test with a service user with basic authentication on a WAS 6.40 system (without using system login page to check whether service user can log in) successfully. now to use the system login page SSO2 needs to be configured without that i cannot use system login page. sso2 is being configured, i will have to wait till it finishes to test it.
However if Dezo is saying thats it not supported, it should be right as he is from SAP

  • [SOLVED] Does my system allow remote login through SSH?

I installed openssh some time ago, to be able to connect to my phone's storage (phone is the server). I didn't configure anything, just installed the package and connected to my phone using nautilus. Now I'm wondering, is my computer a ssh server now? Because I don't want remote login to my computer at all. The documentation is a little confusing for me on this one.

No, that is just showing the grep process... I fit was running, you'd get
└─╼ ps aux | grep ssh
    jason 563 0.0 0.0 13316 320 ? Ss Jun20 0:00 ssh-agent
    root 2256 0.0 0.1 40420 4996 ? Ss Jun20 0:00 /usr/bin/sshd -D
    jason 25006 0.0 0.0 10948 2312 pts/4 S+ 19:11 0:00 grep --color=auto ssh
The preferred way to check would be to query the status of the service:
    ┌─[Shiv ~ ]
    └─╼ systemctl status sshd
    ● sshd.service - OpenSSH Daemon
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/sshd.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)

  • Login Redirection through SYSTEM application

    Hi,
I'm using the standard SYSTEM application to perform the Login redirection. The redirection works fine in normal cases. However I face problems when I pass some parameters in my original URL.
Consider my app URL is: http://testsystem/sap/bc/bsp/sap/test/default.htm?bookid=1000                                               During login this gets redirected to url /sap/public/bsp/sap/system/login.htm?sap-url=<%=PATHTRANS%>
The login happens here, but after that, the parameter "bookid" got removed from the original URL.
    Why does this happen?
Is this the standard system behaviour? Or am I missing something?
How else can I pass parameters to the URL while still retaining the login redirection through SYSTEM application?
    Regards,
    Pradeep

    Hi,
I'm successful passing parameters with the code mentioned in /people/eddy.declercq/blog/2005/11/15/enemy-of-the-state

  • How to login CRM 2007 BSP page use account domain of Microsoft AD

    Dear friends,
I am finding solution to setup system with the requisite:
    - Login to CRM 2007 Business Server Page use account domain which is managed by Microsoft Acitve Directory.
    - Users use only web browser, they didn't use SAPGUI and they must type username, password ( their username, password are managed in Microsoft AD, not in SAP system) in every login to BSP page, don't use solution like X.509 client certificate.
I used to configured using SNC and I could login to SAP System using SAPGUI without type SAP username and password when I log in my computer by account domain( my computer is joined in domain).
But my requisite is have to use account domain( username and password)  and type them in web browser when I want to log in SAP system, could not configured to go to directly SAP application ( BSP page ) without type username/password of account domain.
After time looking for solution about authentication :
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/8039306e-cea4-2a10-15b9-8e96d40c51ef [original link is broken]
I think may be I could login to java portal by used username/password of account domain to authenticate after login  to portal I use SSO to switch to BSP page without type username password again. This solution may be accepted because I was login to SAP application from web browser and used account domain.
Could you show me, there are anymore solution or how could I do to to set up my above solution.
    Thanks and Best Regards.

The normal way to do this is to configure the authentication stack required on a JAVA stack (e.g. portal or standalone Java instance of NetWeaver or dual stack) and then configure the BSP app in SICF transaction to redirect to Java stack when no SSO2 ticket is sent by browser (e.g. user has already authenticated). The redirect to Java stack will be done, such that after user has authenticated to Java stack they will be issued with an SSO2 ticket and redirected back to the BSP app URL. From end users perspective, they will access the BSP app URL and get authenticated using Active Directory, and they won't know about the redirection since they will be logged into the BSP app once they have authenticated.
The authentication using Active Directory can be done using two methods:
    - Using credentials already on workstation from workstation logon, e.g. using Integrated Windows Authentication
    - Showing user a form where they enter AD account and password.
    Thanks,
    Tim

Not sure why this is happening. Few users started complaining that they get this error. If they using direct login url to EBS (bypass link) - It works fine.

  • Login error with correct u/p using Oracle Application Server / BPEL

    Hello,
We are using Oracle 11g and BPEL 10.1.3.4. We had everything working fine until earlier this week. We were receiving an exception when accessing the database from our BPEL process.
Unable to establish connection to "iCareConnectionPool". Error message: Exception occurred testing connection. Exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied.
I went into the Application Server control and tested the data source and connection pool and they both failed with the login error. The userid and password being submitted is correct. I checked the data-source.xml file and the id/password looked good. Here are the steps I performed.
    On BPEL server:
    1)     Deleted connection pool iCareConnectionPool, data source, iCareDataSource, and removed /eis/db/iCareDataSource from the DBAdapter.
    2)     Created new connection pool – iCareConnectionPool using jdbc:oracle:oci:@//<host>:1521/ORCL with userid IDS
    3)     The connection pool test was successful. Clicked finish to create connection pool
    4)     From the JDBC resources screen, I tested the connection pool and it failed with invalid logon error.
    5)     Modified connection pool to use IDS2 and it worked.
    6)     Modified connection pool to IDS and it failed.
    7)     Modified connection pool to jimc and it worked.
    On Database:
    1)     Created new schema/user ICAREIDS
    2)     Connected using SQL Developer and I could connect
    On BPEL Server:
    1)     Deleted connection pool
    2)     Created connection pool iCareConnectionPool using jdbc:oracle:oci:@//<host>:1521/ORCL with userid IDS
    3)     The connection pool test was successful. Clicked finish to create connection pool
    4)     From the JDBC resources screen, I tested the connection pool and it failed with invalid logon error.
    5)     Modified connection pool to use IDS2 and it worked.
    6)     Created new connection pool TestPool – same results
    7)     Tried jdbc:oracle:thin:@//<host>:1521/ORCL - same results
On my local system BPEL server:
    1)     Created connection pool iCareConnectionPool using jdbc:oracle:oci:@//<host>:1521/ORCL with userid IDS
    2)     The connection pool test was successful. Clicked finish to create connection pool
    3)     From the JDBC resources screen, I tested the connection pool and it failed with invalid logon error.
    4)     Modified connection pool to use IDS2 and it worked.
    5)     Modified connection pool to use ICAREIDS and it failed.
Since it failed on two different BPEL server's, I am wondering if it is something with the database. I can connect using existing schema's but not IDS or any new schemas. However, I can connect to any schema using any other tool like SQL Developer.
Can anyone provide an insight as to what could be happening here.
    Thanks,
    Jim

I found the problem and wanted to pass on the solution in case any one else runs into this problem.
With Oracle Database 11g the passwords are now case sensitive. Because the BPEL server is using 10g drivers the login fails if you have capital letters in your password.

Please repost in the Final Cut Pro forum. Have you considered upgrading your machine, if you are still running Leopard your machine may be as old as 5 years old. While this should not matter you probably won't get the performance you want out of a demanding app like FCP.
    Best of luck.

I'm a singer and recently bought a Macbook Pro.  I'd like to use it to play music through my PA system but it doesn't seem compatible as no sound is coming through.  It is however coming through my smaller Bose system.  My main system is Alto APM80.1000 with Proel speakers.

Hi it's a headphone jack and two larger (microphone type jacks?) at the other end.  Please excuse my not not knowing the name of anything - I know where everything goes but not the names!  So if I press Alt and the sound icon at the same time what output should I be choosing?
I've tried plugging into the red and white tape in tape out and the front of the amp with a headphone/red and white jack lead and a slight sound comes out but of bad quality.
When I'm going through my bose it's an easy headphone to headphone lead and is working perfectly.
    Thanks

  • 10.5.2: You cannot use the application "System preferences.app" with...

    Hello
after (successfully) updating from 10.5.1 to 10.5.2, the System Preferences.app cannot be started. Either the application does not start (a silent error) or there is a message "You cannot use the application "System preferences.app" with this version of MacOS X." The version is 10.5.2, according to "About this Mac", while the application version is 3.5. The same happens when I attempt to open "Time machine preferences" using the new menu/icon on the bar.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Marinho.

Thanks, I did that, but it didn't solve the problem.
By the way, the application version (of System preferences.app) remained the same (old one). Then I removed the application to Trash (meaning to restore it later if required) and applied the update again (and a third time), but then a new System preferences.app was not installed and the older one has disappeared from the trash! What a mess this update turns out to be...
