Using tab navigation with layers

I am trying to put together a tabbed sub-navigation system
within a page but I am having trouble getting it to work properly.
I would love some input on how I can go about doing this and have
the tabs be able to show a "You are here state" when on a
particular layer.
Here is what I have so far:

Are you sending the cursor to the selected block in the When-Tab-Page-Changed trigger? Also, what are the properties of your data block relationship (Specifically the Coordination properies)? If you have Deferred = YES and Automatic Query = YES then the child data block will not be queries until you navigate to the block.

Access table cells using tab key with iterators

Hi,
I use a tableview with iterator and allow users to mouseclick certain column cells. I capture these user interactions using server event "onCellClick". But I cannot access these cells using tab key instead of mouse click. But tab key is a must for visibly challenged users. Is there any way to access table cells using tab keys (with iterators)?
I use icons in those cells to replace check box and change the icons to differentiate checked/unchecked status.

Thanks for your effort.
But I was able to solve my problem. I don't think I gave all the information to simulate my problem in your environment. I used images in certain table cells and was not able to access those cells using tab key or access key. Tag <img> doesn't have the attributes tabindex and access key.
I solved the problem by surrounding the <img> by anchor tag <A>, which has both attributes. I did these changes within the iterator method RENDER_CELL_START using CL_BSP_BEE_TABLE.
In the event handling, I had to do separate processing for mouse click event and key press event for those cells.
For visibly challenged users:
They can access those cells by tab key or access key and the key press event is used to capture when they hit enter key.
So this problem is irrelevant to service packages (SP38,..).

I can't use tabbed browsing with my VPN and Intel iMac

I had no problem using tabbed browsing (with Safari) when connecting to
my virtual private network (go to my pc), when I used my iMac G5. Now that
I'm using an 'Intel' iMac, when I tab back to my VPN, it defaults to my log in
screen. I've checked my Safari settings, and they're all the same as my iMac
G5. Does anyone have any suggestions?

How to use tab key with JTextArea to shift focus

My problem is simple as whenevr i use tab key in my JTextArea, instaed of shifting focus to next component, it adds a tab space to my text.
How do i shift focus out of my JTextArea.

you can also redefine the textarea's TAB Key behaviour. The tutorial has a good example for that - better than i would be able to describe :-)

Question on using tab navigation

Hi all --
We have a very large (500+ pages) reporting application which is currently using a list (DHTML Menu with Sublist template) as the navigation means. The problem is that there is so much out there the navigation menus have become very large and make it difficult for a user to find what they are looking for. I've been playing around with different navigation types and like the two level tabs but there is one small issue that renders it an unviable solution. Some of our menus currently go three or four levels deep, but the bottom level is always fairly small (3 or 4 reports at most). I was thinking that the top level would be the parent tabs (Sales, Purchasing, AR, Manufacturing, etc) and the standard tabs would be the second level (Branch Reports, Customer Reports, Freight, etc). Now there may be multiple "Branch Reports" and I'd like to display links to those reports in a conditional sidebar region based on the current standard tab. I've implemented the application item and computation to track the current tab (from :REQUEST) and it works well if a user gets to the page via a standard tab. Unfortunately, pages that fall under the Purchasing Parent tab link back (or drill down, if you prefer) to pages under the Sales Parent tab so the tracking of the current tab through the :REQUEST won't work.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to track the current standard tab? It seems silly to have to re-create the same region for each page the standard tab is current for.

I'm having issues getting to my OTN workspace to check this out, but you may be able to handle this by using a Page 0 with a Tree. The Tree would be based on a table that had a page number as the ID and the parent page number as the PID. The top level in this structure would be the pages on the 2nd level of tabs. The P0_TREE_ROOT would then need to be set on a per page basis and you could probably use the CONNECT_BY_ROOT functionality to determine this for each page - &APP_PAGE_ID. would tell you the current page, so you could use that to determine the top of the page's branch and, therefore, update the P0_TREE_ROOT item so that the tree is self-maintaining.

Using Here navigation with Lumia 1520/W8.1 in my c...

With bluetooth activated on my phone and in the car (Hyundai i40/2012) the voice navigation do not work as expected.
Every time navigation instructions are given the car's phonesystem is activated as an incoming call which of course cannot be answered. Anyone experienced this and found a solution?
De-activating bluetooth on the phone does help and voice guidance works as expected on the phone, however this is not a good solution and I would like to have the bluetooth activated and voice guidance working through the car's speaker system as it did with my previous model (Lumia 920).
Any help will be appreciated.

I have been in contact with Nokia Care on the above subject.
Finally got the voice guidance to work after doing the following:
1. Deleting the phone from my bluetooth list in my car
2. Removing following char from my phonebook: /()
3. Deleting the bluetooth pairing from my phone
4. Re-started the phone
5. Paired to my car
6. Chosed a destination.
7. Started navigating to that destination.
8. The voice guidance working on my cars speakers.
9. Stopped navigating.
10. Chose another destination
11. Started navigating to that destination
12. The voice guidance working on my cars speakers
13. Stopped navigating.
14. Chose recent destination or a favorite destination
15. Started navigating to that destination
16. The voice guidance DID NOT WORK!!
17. Stopped navigating.
18. Went back to choosing as under 6.
19. Started navigating to that destination
20. The voice guidance DID NOT WORK!!
Conclusion:
It seems that I can get the voice guidance to work as long as I do not select destination from other than "Choose a destination". Selecting a destination from "Recent destinations" or from "Favorites" does not seem to work.
Funny, however this was not the situation before W8.1. Has anything been done with the bluetooth communication after W8?
Note:Microsoft Mobile Devices states in a FAQ on this matter that you should use the phone's internal loudspeaker for the time being. However I then have to switch off bluetooth which of course is no solution. For the time being we just have to wait until hopefully this technical problem is solved by Microsoft.

Using Photoshop files with layers in iDVD

I prefer using my old DVD Studio Pro to iDVD, but since newer versions of Quicktime can't export to mpeg2 I'm forced to either use iDVD or buy a new version of DVDSP. Given that iDVD is already on my computer and DVDSP requires the purchase of the Final Cut Suite, I was wondering about how tweakable the menus and themes in iDVD are. Is there a way to create customized themes with your own menu pages with different shaped buttons, unique images and text? In DVDSP you could import Photoshop files and the file would retain the layers which would allow you to use layers as buttons, images, or text on you menu. Is there a way to do this in iDVD or am I out of luck? Thanks in advance!

any version of DVDSP contained "Compressor", which does the conversion of any iM project into the needed m2a, m2v streams for use in DVDSP... and no version of QT was able to export to mpeg2, except you tought that trick with some plug-ins, installed by DVDSP.... (?)
sure, you can customize menus, but not as flexibile as DVDSP; read the tutorials, or one of the "Missing Manuals" by David Pogue; import of PS-layers is not supported; iDVD is a consumer product.-

Tab navigation with multiple records

Hi,
Using oracle forms 10g
I have a form with three tabs - different data blocks, each one can have multiple records. When I select record #3 on the first tab, the corresponding record is not being returned when I click on the 2nd tab. There are relationships defined for each of the data blocks. It does work right when I 'manually' CTR-Page Down through the form from block to block, the correct record is returned and displayed. I have coded the 'when-tab-page-changed' trigger so the topmost tab is being displayed correctly. Not sure what I'm missing... need to do some more coding???

Using Spry Navigation with php includes in a Dreamweaver dwt file

I am working on a large site and am attempting to set up templates in Dreamweaver, which will include the navigation as an includes file with php. First of all, wondering if it is possible? Second, how do I address the problem of my pages being at different levels within the site? Very new to php coding, but my pages that are not connected to a template are working properly.

Yeah! David! I don't know what you get paid, but it is not enough. After replacing the file, it is working. I did change the links in my index page and took off the /. But the menu is now showing on all the pages now that were having issues. I probably corrupted it somehow. I really appreciate your help with this. What a way to spend the holiday. I guess we are making it true to its name. This has definitely been laborous. If there is such a word.

Tab navigation does not show at all in FP 10 it shows in FP9

I have module that is loaded at runtime,
it has simple tab navigation with 3 children,
in FlashPlaer 9 Debug, tab navigation shows fine, even
thought for some reason it looks like linkbar :)
also numericStepper looks like inputBox and ComboBox has no
arrow, (they all look fine in FB 3.2)
in Flash player 10 tab navigation does not show at all, is
there any obvious thing that I am missing ?
I am guessing something terribly wrong with flex styles, but
I am not overriding any styles,
my environment :
vindows Vista 64 bit (although I use jvm 32)
project is build with latest flex sdk :flex_sdk_3.3.0.4589
P.S: I cant attach image here, so I will record video

When using tabbed browsing, if I click to open a new tab, why will it not automatically load my homepage in the new tab instead of a blank window?

I use tabbed browsing with the tab bar visible at all times so I can click on a new tab when convenient.Why can my homepage not load automatically on that newly opened tab insted of a blank screen with a search bar saying "you've opened a new tab".........well yeah. I have looked through the options and cannot find anything to open a new tab with the homepage. Is it possible? Have I missed it? If it's not possible, could you make it so?

Tabs created with CMFCTabCtrl::STYLE_3D style didn't display the whole tab labels

We use tab controls with multiple tabs created with CMFCTabCtrl::STYLE_3D style, but the tab labels are not displayed completely. For instance, the label should be "Process Control", but the tab header shows only part of it ""Process
C...".
How can I make the whole label being displayed?

I think this is a by design issue, Form the picture, there is no enough space to show all your tab with the long label text. If you persiste want to use CMFCTabCtrl::STYLE_3D style, you may need to draw your own CMFCTabCtrl.
Please think about to use CMFCTabCtrl::STYLE_3D_SCROLLED style, see the picture.
This is not too bad.

Tab canvas with required fields (problem)

hi,
I am using tab canvas with 5 tabs with diff blocks.
receive
issue
adjust
return
view
some fields are required in all tabs.
when i run the form and in RETURN TAB and enter some data and click the save button the cursor goes to receive tab and focus the required fields with a message
FIELD MUST BE ENTER
same for issue tab also...
i dont want to enter any thing there ..
how i manage it

Not sure if I understand you correctly. You say some fields are required in all tabs, but also that you 'don't want to enter anything here'. Do you mean that the fields are required, but only if you're entering data on that specific tab? I.e. you don't have to enter all of the tabs.
If that's the case, are all the tabs based on the same block, or different blocks?
