Using telephone calls

I signed up for a Skype phone line with a $6.00 per month subscription about 18 hours ago and when I try to make a call I get the screen that tells me a have to either buy Skype credits or a subscription. Is there a phone number I can call to straighten this out. The help system is not very effective.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the display of an Intel-based iMac, but you can try searching through MacUpdate for something like "phone" and see if anything comes up.

I want to get the audio out of the lightning connection (the way you get audio when you connect it to a dock). It works properly with music, but when making a telephone call, it switches to the internal speraker. You can change to the external spekers, but you cannot select another audio out. It's also possible to get the telephone audio from the analogue connection, but that's not what I want. I want telephone audio from lightning...

I must also say that the second update ruined my Lumia's battery life.
With the first (out-of-the-box) update the phone usually had 30 percent of battery after a quite hard day (e.g. more than an hour of talking via bluetooth handsfree, more than two hours of listening to the music via bluetooth, more than an hour of browsing via wifi, and reading hundreds of e-mails via two mail accounts). I never managed to discharge it after one day (e.g. 14-16 hours) of continous use, no matter how much I talked, listened and browsed.
Now, with the secod update, it discharges to 20% after 12 hours of laying still almost without use (30 mins of music, less than 15 mins of talking and nothing more), and discharges completely with the usage pattern described above.
Did the second update contain some Android code?

Can I record live telephone calls to my MacBook?

I am undergoing telephone training and would love to be able to record the calls directly to my hard drive on my MacBook to review later. Can this be done? Do I need special software?

Indeed, there are parts of the world where recording telephone calls can be illegal if the other party does not give consent; however, in this case there is nothing to worry about.
The original poster is from Canada. In Canada, only one person taking part in a telephone conversation needs to be aware that a recording device is being used. As a journalist, I've recorded many conversations -- some where I've mentioned I'm recording what is being said and some where I haven't. Either way, I am within my rights not letting anyone know.
The laws are different in the U.S.A., so I must stipulate that I am speaking only about Canada.

How can I automate the multi-step process of looking up a caller's contact details when a telephone call comes in with caller ID. I want to be able to see more than just the first & last name when a client calls me. I would like the caller ID to pull up the same information that shows up when you search for and find a contact name and then click on the right arrow.
My workaround is to force/enter both the last name and the address in the last name field since then the address will show up.
The only computerized way to look up this additional information is to put the client on hold, memorize the first and last name and correctly enter it in the search field of the contact database and hopefully find it before the client gets tired of waiting.
Note that I go to about 48 small jobs per week. So far I have about 9,000 contacts. It's easy to make a mistake and have the client wondering what I'm doing and what's taking so long.
The second workaround is to use paper and pencil and ask the client for name, address, cross street and phone number again, repeating what I did some time previously.
Please help meautomate this process.

You don't have to put anyone on hold. When the call comes in, tap the Home button, then tap contacts, go to the contact. Tap Home button when finished, tap the top banner to return to the call screen.

Can I place Telephone Calls from my Mac

Hi,
Is it possible to use my mac to place and record telephone calls? I had ordered PhoneValet to do that, but was told that although the program records calls, and can dial calls, it cannot be used to place a call and actually speak and have the person on the other end hear what I am saying. Is there a way to do this?

I do not use the product, and I think there are a few other programs that will allow you to do same. Google may be your friend on this one

Normal to not hear my end of a telephone call?

I use an Etymotic hf2 for telephone calls on my 3GS. I can hear the other party, and they can hear me just fine, but I cannot hear my own side of the conversation in the earphones. It just feels like dead air. Is this normal? Is there some setting on the iPhone I can use so that my side of a telephone conversation can be heard on the headphones?

Yes, I'm sure that's true. I can have the sort of "feedback" I find helpful by just using the iPhone without a headset when making telephone calls. It seems it's only with the headset I use that I get the "dead air" effect.
I think the "feedback" effect may only be noticed when it's absent. Speaking into a telephone that is not connected will make the "dead air" effect noticeable.
Rather like talking into a brick.
None-the-less, I can easily avoid the effect by simply not using the headset when making telephone calls.

I'm sorry, but we had made so many changes (the Advisor and I) and it was only after I shared y home screen with him that he had me disable my anti-virus firewall....and everything worked fine afterwards. We went through a number of steps including removing a number of neighbors wifi signals and most important was the changing of the wifi channels.If anyone is using an Anti-virus program, I would suggest that they disable the firewall and then see if their devices connect to the same wifi.

Hallo, I have a 4s - if want to make a telephone call and I select the 'home' tel. number from my contacts, instead of making a phone call it starts I mail... I do not understand how to change this setting.... with the mobile number, it works regularly... thanks!

How to make telephone calls ring just once?

In my "meeting" profile I would like to set up audio for telephone calls just like in message notifications. But when I chose a notification audio, the notification will be repeated forever until I accept or decline the call. The same for vibration: I would prefer one vibration. Can someon help? Thank you!

Actually I never let my cell phone ring, so I already set the ringing type as "silent".

I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build. The same call works fine when running on the device

I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build. The same call works fine when running on the device (iPhone) using debug build. When running with a release build, the result handler is never called (nor is the fault handler called). Viewing the BlazeDS logs in debug mode, the call is received and send back with data. I've narrowed it down to what seems to be a data size issue.
I have targeted one specific data call that returns in the String value a string length of 44kb, which fails in the release build (result or fault handler never called), but the result handler is called as expected in debug build. When I do not populate the String value (in server side Java code) on the object (just set it empty string), the result handler is then called, and the object is returned (release build).
The custom object being returned in the call is a very a simple object, with getters/setters for simple types boolean, int, String, and one org.23c.dom.Document type. This same object type is used on other other RemoteObject calls (different data) and works fine (release and debug builds). I originally was returning as a Document, but, just to make sure this wasn't the problem, changed the value to be returned to a String, just to rule out XML/Dom issues in serialization.
I don't understand 1) why the release build vs. debug build behavior is different for a RemoteObject call, 2) why the calls work in debug build when sending over a somewhat large (but, not unreasonable) amount of data in a String object, but not in release build.
I have't tried to find out exactly where the failure point in size is, but, not sure that's even relevant, since 44kb isn't an unreasonable size to expect.
By turning on the Debug mode in BlazeDS, I can see the object and it's attributes being serialized and everything looks good there. The calls are received and processed appropriately in BlazeDS for both debug and release build testing.
Anyone have an idea on other things to try to debug/resolve this?
Platform testing is BlazeDS 4, Flashbuilder 4.7, Websphere 8 server, iPhone (iOS 7.1.2). Tried using multiple Flex SDK's 4.12 to the latest 4.13, with no change in behavior.

After a week's worth of debugging, I found the issue.
The Java type returned from the call was defined as ArrayList. Changing it to List resolved the problem.
I'm not sure why ArrayList isn't a valid return type, I've been looking at the Adobe docs, and still can't see why this isn't valid. And, why it works in Debug mode and not in Release build is even stranger. Maybe someone can shed some light on the logic here to me.

Telephone Call List not showing in the T.Code - CRMD_TM_CLDIST

We are working in SAP CRM- ISU project in which we need to transfer the telephone call list to CRM .When we execute the transaction code CRMD_TM_CLDIST in CRM,system does not show any call list,as in ECC system is reflecting one call list successfully transferred(No of lines for processing 1)
We have executed the transaction FPVT to transafer the call list to crm system but crm system is not showing any call list under transaction code CRMD_TM_CLDIST.
Please share your input as how telephone call list will be displayed in crm system through ECC.

We are triggering the dunning process in SAP ECC, there when we excute the transaction FPVT after entering all the details & click on execute then in ECC,system shows that (No of lines for processing 1).
We need dunning customers in CRM through calling list,but when we execute the T.code CRMD_TM_CLDIST, no calling list is reflecting.

I have tried a few telephone call recorder apps on my droid X and they just don't seem to work. They are great when the Doctor calls with test results when you are driving.

How can I see the phone number that a contact used to call me?

I have several contacts in the addressbook of my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1) for which I have entered multiple phone numbers. In the call history the names of my contacts are shown, which is fine. To call someone back based on the history I would like to know which number was used to call me. Is there a way to get to this information?

It will say "mobile" Home", etc under the name.
You can also tap the blue arrow and see the highlighted number.
