Using Thai Language in Forms 6i

Dear all,
I am trying to use Thai Language as one of the Input in my forms 6i. I've installed the Thai characterset in my computers and i've chosen the thai font for the field which i want in thai. Its entering thai characters but i am unable to print a few characters. When I do the same in Word or notepad it prints the characters correctly but in forms input box it does not. can anybody help me out with this.

Thanks a lot for your reply Frank. I seached on the Net for the solution and found that if we use UTF8 in NLS_LANG registry entry we can solve the problem but our database should support the character set.

when i give an i/p via forms the typed value is showing as junk characters.if i change the font for the particular form's field from arial to ms sans serif it is working fine ,but our font standard is arial .plz help me to enabling thai language in forms .and also plz suggest me whether arial font does support to thai language or not .

I understand that I can use system font and that will create an image instead of text
but in the "plan view" what I see now is totally square block instead of font, whether I try to change to thai font in the page menu

Adobe Form for Thai Language

Hi all,
I'm at Thailand and I'm trying to implement Abobe Form using TH. My problem is I want to use Thai language on the form. At the time I try to write down Thai language, the form builder shows me a question mark symbol (?).
Please help me to use Thai language on Adobe Form. Million thanks in advance.

Not 100% sure but install the Extended Language Font Packs for Adobe from [here|http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/acrrasianfontpack.html] and see if it resolves your issue.

Do you mean if I have to use Thai language, I have to build package from sourcecode. Well, package builing looks very complicated. I will run Gnome instead then, at least someone has already wrote guides on Wiki. I have to wait until Arch got Thai language package for KDE then I will go back to use KDEMod again.

You're referring to Forms Internationalization and Oracle has published helpful guidelines for making your Forms support multiple languages. Any message generated by the Database or the Forms Server will be controlled by the Language Setting for the DB and the Forms Server. Any text you display in your Form, such as Item Prompts or Messages, you will have to handle these yourself. I did a quick Google search on "Forms Internationalization" and found the following link:

I've worked on an internationalization project before and the solution we used was to assign a unique ID to each message, prompt, or any other text that could be assigned dynamically and then fetched the value associated with the ID from a table at run time depending on the default language.

Whith Tahoma font text Offset setting to far from the starting of the text input .

Personally, I prefer uncompressed TIFF or PNG. But many times it won't matter ... you'll be dropping the images into an SD Sequence, so they will lose resolution on output.

Overlapping characters displayed in spool for dunning in thai language

Hi Experts,
Our requirement is to create a dunning form for Thailand(displayed in thai language).
We have created a thai oriented printer(Thl1).We have also created a smart style and the font is helvetica(in order to display thai characters).
We have a problem when the spool is generated.The characters in the spool(both english and thai) appear overlapped.
What can be the reason for this?
My hunch is that since we are using helvetica font the spool is not generated properly.(ie spool cannot take helvetica font)
Since dunning is a sap standard program we cannot directly convert to otf format instead of generating a spool.
This problem has been bugging us for a long time.
Can any of the sap mates please suggest a solution for this?

Alarm and Clock inappropriate in Thai language on Ultra Stamina Mode

Hi support team,
I have found that letter of "Alarm and Clock " is showing inappropriate in either the first of Thai alphabet or vowel of "า".
-The first of Thai alphabet should show full name as "ก",not half of "ก"
-The vowel of "า",not half of "า"

Thai language Problem with Labelshop start (External design program)

Hi all,
In my project, we have designed form vai Labelshop start and then import it to SAPscript.
Now we're facing the problem about Thai language when we test running. Thai language in ASCII format is not correct.
Anyone please advice the possible solution for this problem. If this problem is about font in Labelshop start program, please advice how to import new font to Labelshop.

I want to use two languages at a time on forms9i.So i have Configured my NLS_LANG parameter on Form 9i by REGEDIT. and also install that others language setup by REGIONAL SETTING.After it on run time i am abled to insert
data in other language and successfully saved it.BUT when i query that particular data they are showing me bug valuse.or like some currpt data.
but when same configration,i use forms6i then form6i working well and retrieving
fine data.as it is as i entered.
plz Help me.

This is most likely due to a mismatch of the NLS_LANG you have on the client and the one you have for the database.

      I write a simple query using date conversion for THAI language. But the NLS_CALENDAR does not convert the DAY to Thai language but month and year shows in THAI only
Please give the date format for THAI language.
