Using the calendar can I copy and paste phone numbers.
Using my iPad mini can I copy and paste phone numbers on the calendar from different weekdays?
I"m not sure exactly what you mean, but if I go into an appointment and open that appointment. I'll then see an 'edit' button. I tap on that to bring up a pop up with the details of the appointment. In there I can select and copy text, then I can make a new appointment and paste that text into a new appointment on a different day.

Is there anything special about your drop downs (lots of choices)? Are the drop downs part of the selection? You may need to select all of the fields in the section then add the drop downs to the selection by using control-click (command-click on Mac).

Copy and past Phone number bug?
This is quite annoying jumping from 9900 to OS10. When I copy and paste phone numbers into the phone app it overrides everything and you can't go back to the beginning of the phone number you just paste and add anything like *67 for example, it will only allow you to append to the end of the pasted number. Any idea if there is a way around this or some option that must be turned on or off?
Copy and Paste from Notepad to Contacts works fine here. Try rebooting your handset.

Have a MacBook Pro. Been using hot mail/Safari. Suddenly can't copy and paste an e mail. Can't make an att> without getting an error message.."0 bytes empty" Got ahold of hot mail was told yes there is a problem between Mac and hot mail Safari and for $59.00 they can fix it. Forgot to ask if the same would apply if I were a pc user. Anbody shed some light on this? Anyone recomend a better em ail service other than g mail?

How can I copy and paste a caption for several pictures that are all the same?
I'm trying to understand the process of importing, labeling and organizing pictures I'm importing from my iPhone into iPhoto 11.
So far I am importing only pictures that relate to one another; ie taken at the same event. I have 18 pictures from one hike. I'd like to label each of those pictures the same; ie "hike at Bear Creak 2/15." Can I copy and paste the same label to all 18 pictures? How would I copy and paste?
There are lots of You Tube videos on the subject of iPhoto and that's how I learn best. If you know of a really basic one to watch I'd appreciate it.
I think I have to take a class at the Apple Store on this basic organizing because it's really escaped me in the 9 months I've had this Mac (switched from PC.)

select all 18 photos at once in iPhoto on your Mac and then use the menu entry "Photos > Batch Change"
That will change the titles or descriptions of all photos at once.

Copy and paste works between Word docs, and it works between internet sites (e.g., web page to email), just not from Word to the internet. Please help. There are a range of different kinds of forms. For example, this site uses very simple controls that don't automatically convert Word's formatting to an online format. The site where you are trying to paste your resume probably works differently.
What methods have you tried using to paste? Typically one of these will work:
* Ctrl+v
* right-click > Paste
* Edit > Paste (from the menu)
Some sites offer their own buttons to paste, but for security/privacy reasons, Firefox usually disables those. -

I can copy and paste on this website with internet explorer, but not with firefox. I can not perform all the website functions with the internet explorer brower and switching back and forth from browser to browser is very time consuming and a hassle. Thanks for replying. Actually I want to copy/paste a recipe from a website so I can keep the recipe. On p 39 it tells how to copy/paste, which I do a lot already, but it doesn't tell where to paste it so I can access or print it whenever I want. It's kind of a long recipe. Too long to type out. Any ideas for that?

Just like any mouse. Click down at the start of text you want to highlight, drag to the end of the text. To copy, either use cmd-C, or ctrl-click (hold down the ctrl key and click) or right-click, and click Copy in the popup menu. For paste, cmd-V, or use Paste in the right-click menu.

What I do, since I have shifts with same times just different daily, is make an event for the shift. Then on the repeat option, choose custom, and then monthly choose the days I want to copy the event to. Then on the end date option I choose the end of that month, so it essentially doesn't repeat, more of the copy and paste effect. Hope this helps, cheers.

A few days ago, I copied text from an iBook onto my text notebook. When I went to my kindle on my ipad and attempted to share a quote from it onto Facebook it pasted the previous quote from my iBook. I can't copy and paste anything except that quote. HELP

I can't get the Dashboard Calculator to do that but I can the Mac Calculator app. But I used the Menu Bar; Edit/Copy Edit/Paste to get it work, not the keyboard shortcuts.
