I bought my MBP in Hong Kong. I'm about to go back to Canada. i was wondering if the charger is able to switch voltages on its own without the help of an adapter.

All that's needed is an adapter so the plug fits the outlet. The MBP's power adapter runs on 100-240 V an d 50 or 60 Hz, so it works worldwide.

you can try giving your device a reset and see if that helps. Hold down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red power down slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try. If that doesn't fix it, then time to move onto other trouble shooting.
Usually if an iPad won't charge (presuming you're using the supplied charger plugged into the wall), it's:
bad brick
bad cable
bad outlet
bad port on the iPad
you can eliminate the first three by swapping out chargers if you have another, swapping out cables and trying a different outlet. If you do that and eliminate the first three, then it may be the port on your iPad. If so, and your iPad is still under warranty, make an appointment at your local apple store and take it in.

If you open the Maps app where does that say you are located?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds

It is normal for me to plug it in overnight and to see no charge whatsoever the next day. I have never had so much trouble using a friggin charger in my life. It just seems to be exceedingly finicky. Charging your iPad should not be problematic. It should be an easy thing to do using the charger provided with your iPad connected to a known good wall outlet.
The charging problem you are experiencing is most like caused by:
1. A faulty charger
2. A faulty cable
3. A bad wall outlet
4. A problem in the iPad.
The first three of these are easiest to eliminate. Try a for ends charger and cable. Make absolutely sure your outlet is good. Try other outlets.
If the charger, cable and outlet a proven to be good then the problem lies in the iPad.
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). Your purchase of licensed version of Adobe applications does apply to CC subscriptions. If you subscribe you will pay for the subscription on whatever periodic basis you choose (monthly versus annually).

The "Sample Field" letters are very dim. After punching several times the right click revels "Clone stamp mode". The next little circle has a line through it and after several right clicks, it says: "turn on to ignore adjustment layers when cloning," Despite this I cannot get any kind of a response to change any of the existing entries. I tried Tango, Qik, and ooVoo.
The only one that can use the Charge's front facing camera AND video chat with a PC is the ooVoo.
Works perfectly!
Tango and Qik ad mobile-to-mobile only at this time.

You can also use the iPad charger (12W) to charge the iPhone (its charger is 5W) and it will charge the iPhone faster.
