Hi, we are testing Project Online for the first time.<o:p></o:p>
Per default the Project Web App is installed under
xyz.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa.<o:p></o:p>
Is it possible, to use it with the standard SharePoint
team site?<o:p></o:p>
When I activate Project Online for our default web
site, a new Instance of the PWA is set up.<o:p></o:p>
We’d like to use the default PWA instance since it is a menu item in the Office 365 main menu.<o:p></o:p>
In a getting started video from Microsoft is a sample
shown, where a task from a team site list can be enhanced to a Project Online
project. In this case the link from the team web site called the project view
from the ../sites/pwa instance.<o:p></o:p>
But I don’t have the function/icon in our team
website.<o:p></o:p>

Hello, if I understand your query correctly the root PWA site has to be PWA site collection, it can't be a default SharePoint team site. The individual project site (below PWA) can start from just a SharePoint team site though or any SharePoint site with
a tasks list. This can then be added to PWA and converted to a full enterprise project if required or left as SharePoint task list project that can be seen in PWA in visibility mode. Paul

The default server web site is associated with a security certificate. Is there any way to disable that?

I am using Server 4 on my iMac and I want to use my server to publish a non-secure web site. But no matter what I do I get a warning that "Safari can't identify the websites identity". There does not seem to be any way to disassociate the web site from the security certificate. Any suggestions?

Hey,
If you are using the default website by default there is a redirect set for http to https.
Open Server and select websites, select the default website and press the pencil edit button, you'll have a redirects section, choose edit and clear the redirect.
Hopefully should sort it for you.

I have a iMac destop 10.6.2 and use the AOL Mail web site with your Firefox Browser. It has worked great for years. I update the firefox to 6.1 and now I cannot send images using the Firefox browser. With Safari browser it works fine.

I use AOL mail - http://www.aol.com/ with my Firefox 6.1 browser. Before updating aol mail worked great with firefox for years. Now when I try to send ( upload) messages with a file or images I always get the reading " there was a technical problem and I should try again". Messages with NO files or images go through just fine. I have cleared the Firefox history, the cache and cookies and the problem remained the same. The question is does this problem have something to do with the latest update ? AOL are still only familar with the 3.6 Firefox versions. Thanks

Well I guess I was too optimistic. Since last posting I have had three hang events, one during reboot. When the login dialog box came up I clicked on it and it hung.
However I do have a new data point. I have enabled the remote login (sshd). I have discovered that when the system hangs like I described above, I can still log in via SSH from my Windows system. The shell appears normal, but when I tried a "killall Safari" command the OS crashed hard. After a hard reset, the system hung during the login process. Again I could login remotely, and that time I executed a "sudo reboot" via the remote session. That cleared the display to all-blue but did not successfully reboot.
Can anyone suggest what to try via the remote login to help diagnose what is happening? I am familiar with typical Linux architecture but the differences in Mac OS X are leaving me a bit disoriented.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

I would guess that the use of h1-h6 tags helps search engines to understand the structure of a page as the tags imply a certain structure.
This can be compared to more generic tags like <div> that could represent any kind of content - and may be what iWeb uses (you'll have to check yourself).
I would generally recommend that you use some kind of up to date blog/site building tool, perhaps Wordpress or Squarespace (I haven't used either one myself) that support current web technologies - this should reduce your SEO issues and make it easier to properly support mobile/tablet users.

after few days test in my lab, I can see that only email enabled group can be added as site collection admin using POWERSHELL.

We have a client, which has a perl(Apache/mod_perl) based web site. Cutomers submit orders on the web site and right now there is an order-processing system, but the client is looking for workflow/process product which will ease with all this order processing stuff like acknowledgement, approval, shipping, etc....So my question here is, can they use the WeBLogic Process Integrator for this purpose? However I would not recommend it, at least as your primary connection for the SmartTV. Relying primarily on VZW data plans is a bad way to view video services such as Netflix at the moment. It is very easy to chew through your plan with only a few videos depending on the resolution and a few other factors. Not only that but a smart TV may be periodically checking the internet from time to time to download firmware updates or provide reporting stats to the manufacturer.
VZW Jetpacks continue to be a poor choice for home primary internet replacement. The data plans that come from VZW and all other metered wireless providers are not friendly to this kind of internet traffic. Letting your guard down for a moment could result in costly overages and once you accumulate them you will be liable to pay them. A normal cable or DSL line with a high/unlimited cap would be more appropriate.
If the Jetpack is a backup or temporary internet connection then go for it. This is what a Jetpack is designed for, you can get by every now and then without too much risk. Just make sure you are powering your Jetpack down as soon as you are done streaming and keep a close eye on your data plan before and after any major viewing.

I located some suggestions for flushing the cache.
There are really three ways you can flush the DNS cache on your iPad.
1) Simply turn the iPad off and on again using the power button. A simple reboot will go a long way.
2) Turning on Airplane mode and then turning it off again will also clear the DNS cache and should be enough to fix the problem. Tap on your Settings icon, then swipe Airplane mode to On and then back off. Since Airplane mode disables the wireless features of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to comply with airline regulations, this will generally do the trick.
The third method would reset all your network settings and I'm pretty sure you don't want to do that right now.

As you say, SharePoint does come with the O365 E3 package. This SharePoint installation is hosted by Microsoft in the cloud.
By default you will already have two site collections created as part of your subscription, you can find details about them, including the URLs, and create more from the Admin center.

OMG, mutt is flying right now! Even with header and message cache is mutt + imap not the fastest. I reccomend offlineimap for everyone.

still be encrypted?When you say, "default keystore", I assume that you mean the "cacerts" file. If so, you're OK. "cacerts" identifies root CAs that your client is willing to trust. Web sites whose site-certs are signed by one of the root CA in cacerts (i.e., Verisign, Thawte, et. al.) will be trusted by JSSE.
SSL generates shared-keys anew for each new session. The data used to generate this "shared secret" is protected; unless the Bad Boy between you and the server has access to the SERVER's private key, that info is safe. Your data is encrypted over the wire, and only the destination web-server will be able to decrypt it.
