Using the eStation Zeen as e reader
Just purchased a C510 HP all in one printer, that has an attached e station zeen tablet.
I was told that this tablet could be used as an e-reader, but I do not have that app
on the tablet, and Barnes and noble is only available in the US and I am in Canada,
Can anyone tell me how to get e books on my zeen.
Thanks
Hello Sharon,
So what you could do is open your tablet and then you will see the bottom bar to where you can slide it up and then Select to add a new app
-do this and then go down until you see Ebooks, Select that, Thos should loads different apps and even diferent books For the feature you are looking for

I used to use the free version of Adobe Reader to convert my publisher files to pdf files. When I was making a booklet for our hockey team, it said I had to buy it. Now I bought it and it won't convert the files. I am ready to throw this computer out the window!! Can you tell me what is the problem? No it does not exceed 100 M. either.
Adobe Reader never converted Publisher files to PDF, for free, never. I suspect you use to have the (paid for) Adobe Acrobat. Sometimes people have Acrobat (more than $300 worth) and install Adobe Reader over the top, losing that valuable software.
That said, if you subscribed to PDF Pack it should do this conversion. What exactly happens now. -
The new ibook app and ibook update is designed for iPhone 5 operating system. When my iPhone4 recently updated the ibook app, it created many problems using the ibook to download and read my books. Can I get the previous ibook app back on my phone.
Check your trash can on the desktop. The old version is automatically moved to the trashcan. You should be able to move it from the trashcan back to the Apps folder within the iTunes folder. The update that was pushed out was for iBooks to work with iOS 7 not iPhone 5. iOS 7 was released today.

I use Thunderbird (Ver 31.3.0) for several email accounts and on my main account only, it rarely shows the attachments in the email. There used to be a button to click on to either "preview", "open", or "save" ("preview" option is only for pdf attachments). That whole menu bar is gone. But only on my main account, the other accounts all work okay. The only way that I've found to be able to get to the attachment is to use the "view using the classic reader". Then I have to click on the attachment and it downloads it and opens it up. I'd like to get the options back without having to do all the extra clicking to get to the attachments.
Thanks!
~KonceYes, when I disable the conversations add-on, I can then get to the attachment...but I like the conversations add-on otherwise and it used to handle the attachments just fine.

Using the JavaScript Debugger with Adobe Reader X (10.1.0) ?
Hello all,
Quite new to JavaScript in Acrobat I am trying to write a 4 page Form with CenoPDF and check/debug it with Adobe Reader X (10.1.0) on a Windows 7 (32bit, usually no Admin rights) PC. I realise Acrobat Professional would be a more appropriate tool, but for the moment I hope to get away with Reader.
Following this instruction I managed to get the Javascript Debugger running with Reader X, but there is a serious issue:
The Debugger window often crashes - and with it the whole Reader - after clicking around on a few controls (triangles in the Scripts window or others). First the font changes, then letters disappear, controls disappear and soon after the whole user interface freezes (see the two screenshots below).
Questions:
Do others also have problems with crashing Debuggers?
Is there a known solution or work around to this problem?
Many thanks for your help or some info, BobDukeI am having the same problem. Win 7 or Win XP doesn't matter the problems seems to be with Adobe 10.1.0. Works ok with Word, but not adobe reader. Doesn't un-collate if the box is checked. Tried to unchecked then recheck. Use to work but now it doesn't.

The vi: "FLUKE 884X Series Read Single Measurement.vi" can be downloaded from "http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.model_page?p_model_id=9431"
I want to use this driver to read out a 4-wire resistance which in deed is a PT100 resistor to measure the temperature.
When i click on the "run continuously" - button on the LabVIEW Front Panel, the program reads out the current resistance.
However after each readout there comes the "overload" - error message on the display of the 8846a multimeter.
Sometimes there can be also seen a small "error" - sign on the display and sometimes the 8846a beeps.
I already deactivated the "ID-Query" in the "Initialize.vi"
What can i do to prevent these error-messages ?
Solved!

No no no. The "run continuously" button is for debugging only and should not be used to run the program at all. If you are polling your instrument to often it will be confused. Check your timing. I think your program poll your instrument at "full speed", perhaps it works because you open and close GPIB driver on every iteration, giving some delay between each readout.
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

Using the Borland Database Engine to read AND write SHARED Paradox Database Tables
I need to read and write Paradox database tables with a C# AT THE SAME TIME AS people using the Paradox tables with legacy Paradox programs interactively.
I think the only way to do that reliably without corrupting the tables is to use the BDE Borland Database Engine.
Does anyone know how to do that? I found this c++ program... But I don't know how to integrate this into c#
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/database/bdedatabase.aspx
Is there another way to do this? Again, most important, I don't want to corrupt the paradox database.
I can read the paradox records all day long, that is no problem, it is updating at the same time as the legacy program users..
I also know that the whole thing needs to be updated, but that can not be done overnight.
Thanks in advance
DaveBeing pretty new to programming, I am trying just to read info from Paradox tables with C#. Info is actively being updated from another program at the same time. The program I am trying to write only needs to read data. The other program does use the BDE,
so it is already present running on the computer.
I've been looking at code but just haven't found quite the right combination.
Thanks. Any help is greatly appreciated. -
I'm trying to interface with a Fieldbus device through LabVIEW. I need to be able to read and write a variable that consists of a cluster of two unsigned int 32's. The FF vi's provided with FF Communications Manager 3.2 do not support clusters. I have tried to use a code interface node to write my own, but the CIN's I was using before to do this function do not give me a device list anymore (they were originally written on Communications Manager 2.3.5). I have recompiled the .lsb, as well as trying to use the older versions of the header and library files. Is there another workaround I can use?
Hello Bryan,
The BrowseDeviceList VI was released within NI-FBUS 3.2. For NI-FBUS Configurator 3.1, please unzip the attached file and copy the "addon" and "Ff" folders into "\vi.lib" directory. LabVIEW 7.1 or above version is required for using these addons.
And for your information, there is a free upgrade (version 3.1.1) for NI-FBUS Configurator 3.1 users. Here is the link to the upgrade kit.

Hi,
I'm trying to read/write an eeprom with an i2c protocol and ni pxi 6551 module.
At first, I tried to simply read the eeprom, because i know i am expecting 11111111 as a response, but it did not work.
So I tried something easier, and I succesfully wrote a pcf8574ap.
But i can't read it.
Seems like I am not able to "hear" the answer; when the sda line should be filled with an 8bit information, it remains at Z-state.
And because I am using the i2c library, i think there might be a problem with this library, or i am doing something wrong.
Hoping someone has an answer.

Have you seen

BTW Does your screen reader cope ok with inline links ?

Using the LaserJet's EWS to read Toner Levels
The EWS (embedded web server) is a helpful tool that is used in many ways related to Networking. The EWS can give information on Web Services and also allow one to set Static IP and Static DNS's on the printer.
But, if one is hooked up to the network via Ethernet or through a wireless connection with their Laseret, it is also a great way to check Toner levels and print reports such as the Usage page to know the printer'spage count.
To access the printer's EWS. Take the printer's IP address and type it into a browser on the computer. The IP address can be found under the printer's wireless settings on the display screen or on the Network Configuration Report that one can print out. I did my review on the LaserJet CM1415fnw printer for the purpose of this post. I just touched the wireless button that displayed the wireless settings information of the IP address and the SSID.
Once one has typed that address into the browser (in this case I used Chrome), the EWS will open up to a home screen that will show some basic information on that page. It will be showing the estimated ink levels for the printer.
It will be set to the Status tab and will be showing an approximate representation of the toner levels for each color. If One want more detailed information, click on the green button labeled Supplies Detail in the lower right corner of the screen. That will open up to a screen that breaks each cartridge down further by supplying information on:
Approximate pages left that the cartrige can print
Pages printed with this supply
First install date
Date that the cartridge was last used
So, for those who are connected wireless or by Ethernet to the printer; here is another option to find information on your ink levels. These steps and information listed are general guidelines.

First, try gently blowing into the dock connector on your iPad to make sure there's no debris in there. That can sometimes cause accessories to malfunction. If that doesn't clear it up, try rebooting your iPad:
To reboot your iPad, hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears. If, during this process, a slider appears on the screen to power it off, ignore it and keep holding the buttons down.
Rebooting your iPad can solve a lot of problems. -
When using the Mozella Firefox 4 browser and the NEW version Adobe Reader X, PDF's online will not ever open. After 1-3 minuites, I eventually get a message the Adobe reader is running, but need to close and try again! I get same results when trying again.
Internet Explorer operates and opens the online PDF's all ok and the Adobe Reader X seems to operate all else ok!
I think, but not sure, that this issue appeared when the Adobe Reader updated from the older version 9 or so to the NEW Adobe Reader X version about 1 or 2 weeks ago, but not sure. I just remember that Mozella always worked ok previously to the Adobe Reader X version for opening online PDF's last month, etc.
Note that I said that Internet Explorer browser operates ok Using the New automatically upgraded Adobe Reader X for viewing PDF"S! (adobe notified me that the new version 10 (X) was available for updating, etc) I also just discovered that google chrome browser opens the online PDF's ok!
I have not trying re-storing the computer to the previous month, etc, since the issue seems to be with Mozella not liking the Adobe Reader X version and Internet Explored browser operating ok!
Any ideas????I had the same problem and my solution was to disable the PDF extension that came with Firefox 4 which belongs to another company. I found out that it wast interfering with ReaderX. I unabled it and restarted Firefox. I have had no problems since then. Go to Tools, Add-On and click on Extensions and disable the PDF extension. I hope this helps

How can my wife and I be friends in game center if we use the same Itunes account?
You can set up multiple accounts in Game Centre, sign out and create new account. You just need a different email address from any existing Apple ID's and a new password. You can still use the old account for purchases.
