Using the headset jack with my accessory jack in car.

I have a question about using the headset jack in my car. When the iphone is plugged into my radio, how are phone calls received. Does the audio come through the car speakers or do you use the phone like you would with out it hooked up to the car.

The audio does not come out through the headphone jack to your car speakers. Phone call audio uses the built-in speaker and microphone, or a Bluetooth headset if one is paired. I have noticed that if I connect the aux patch cable +while a call is in progress+, audio is sent out to the car stereo.

As Phy said.
Z1 , Z Ultra, Z2, Z3, Z1/Z3 Compact. All phones have exposed headset jack that is waterproof without any need for cover.
However it would be good move to let the jack dry completely before using headphones.
Discussion guidelines.

welcome to the Sony Xperia Support forum..
If look at the headphone cover you should see a small gap using your finger nail you should be able to flip the cover out..
See image below, although not the headphone port, it should give you an idea of what the small gap should look like..

HT4241 The headset jack does not function at all.

I have a MBP 13" running os x lion 10.7.4. The headset jack does not function at all. I can hear crackling in the headphones but not acual sound. I have attempted the the PRAM reset but I guess my timing is off because I keep running into the boot menu. I have a pair of Dre. Pro's that I am using and work fine on everything else I own. There is a switch inside the audio jack that may be stuck. Try gently inserting an audio plug, gently wiggling it, and then removing the audio plug.

By default, your AirPort Express is using an internal DAC to convert the digital audio stream to analog when you connect an analog audio cable to it audio output port. You can; however, connect an external DAC to the same port using a optical digital cable and let the external DAC do the conversion for your stereo.

The user's guide for my BH-501 headset specifies that you can connect the headset to a phone and a music player. What I want to do is to use my PC as the music player, while still being able to answer/make calls on the phone (an E51).
The problem I run into is that I seem to be able to connect only to one of the devices. I can use the headset to listen to music from my PC, but then it won't stay connected to the phone, OR I can use it as a phone headset but then it won't connect to my PC at all.
1) The PC is set up to connect to the headset as an Audio sink - I get good sound from the PC. When I try to connect the headset to the phone at the same time it will connect, then disconnect immideately.
2) If I make sure the PC is not connected with the headset I have no problems getting the phone connection.
It would appear it only accepts one connection, while the manual specifies it should be possible to use two. Does anyone know if what I'm trying to do should be possible, and if so how?

How do I use the App store with macbook pro and mac pro

I currently use the app store with the mac book, but want to buy (share?) apps and music with the mac pro.
I can't find anything that specifically outlines how this works.
I use SplashID with the macbook and an iPhone, and want to use it (and sync it) on the mac pro as well.

Open the MAS app on the Mac Pro and sign into your account to have access to download all of your previous purchases in the Purchased pane.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

I was using "remote" with a D-link modem, that works fine at my iPad. But now I´m using only the cell phone as modem 3G, and don´t want to intall a router to put new cables at my notebook.
