K so no one has been able to help me. When I open a raw image all my highlighted areas are pink. I cannot turn it off by clicking the little triangle. I'm losing my mind. I've been trying to figure this out for months!

When a raw file is demosaiced and a camera profile applied it is no longer possible to determine the actual R-G-B-G2 raw data clipping levels. This is useful for determining best exposure settings (ETTR) when shooting tethered, evaluating exposure bracketed images, or for simply determining your camera's exposure metering accuracy.
This can be added as a user-selectable option button in the current Histogram to allow viewing of the camera file's R-G-B-G2 raw data values."

The sole objective of using the raw image file data in the Histogram is to determine if the image file contains clipped pixels. The actual raw data preview image is of no value other than to "accurately" display those pixels using the Highlight and Shadow clipping indicators. Is it normal for someone to have general diffuculty charging an ipad? I see the "not charging" message even when I am using the charger and cord that came in the original box, plugged into a wall socket directly. It is normal for me to plug it in overnight and to see no charge whatsoever the next day. I have never had so much trouble using a friggin charger in my life. It just seems to be exceedingly finicky. What am I missing?

Charging your iPad should not be problematic. It should be an easy thing to do using the charger provided with your iPad connected to a known good wall outlet.
The charging problem you are experiencing is most like caused by:
1. A faulty charger
2. A faulty cable
3. A bad wall outlet
4. A problem in the iPad.
The first three of these are easiest to eliminate. Try a for ends charger and cable. Make absolutely sure your outlet is good. Try other outlets.
If the charger, cable and outlet a proven to be good then the problem lies in the iPad.
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

NEF to DNG 6.5 results in different number of unique colors, pixels and RGB values

I took pictures from my old Nikon D40. I converted them with the standard settings from NEF to DNG.
I then used UFRAW under Linux and saw that the pixel size increased from 3039x2040 in NEF to 3040x2040 in the DNG - and that the live view RGB values were about 5% higher for NEF that for DNG.
"FastStone Image Viewer" shows the same increase in pixel size. Additionally, it shows that the DNG has roughly 93,000 unique colors compare to 90,000 for the NEF file.
More pixel, different RGB values, different counted unique colors - what's going on here? This doesn't look like a 1:1 conversion?

Not exactly sure what you're comparing. For raw data you need to be comparing the original mosaic data values (not some converted result, or even partially converted result like demosaiced result). Are you sure that's what you're doing?

How can I use the "Copy and paste" tool in order get stamps in the same position in different pages (Acrobat XI for PC)?

With Acrobat 6.0 I was able to copy a stamp in the same position (I mean "exactly" the same one) of different pages just by using the "copy/past" tool.
Now I am using Acrobat XI and it seems like it is not possible anymore: I am copying a stamp and I am trying to past it in anoter page, but it appears in the center of the page (or wherever it wants to...).
Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks for the reply. The settings (MobileEngine.Security.SyncPasswordFieldAtLogon=true) in my Mobile client is such that when i open it i am asked the User, Logon Password and the Synchronization password(which is not mandatory). So if I dont even enter it during logon i am asked to enter it when i hit the sync button on the client.
But if i have entered it during logon and then hit the sync button on the client, that time i am not asked to re-enter my sync passwd and the client syncs with the b/e. Which means that the sync passwd i had entered during logon is definitely stored somewhere.
What i mean by using the sync passwd in applications is this :-
-> In a generic sync appln before synchronising with the b/e we need to give the sync passwd to the SyncManager. How do we get this sync password from the user of the appln?
-> We can either ask him to enter it as in input to a jsp OR else since he has already entered it during logon we need not ask him to enter it again and retrieve it via some API.
Is this possible.

Gantt chart: Don't know how to use the tooltipkeys and toolkeylabel

I have a problem. Don't know how to use the tooltipkeys and toolkeylabel. I used jquery to select the gantt bars and on mouse over i was getting the task id "tid" then passing it to adf bean with serverlistener and showing a popup that is adf component with javascript. For positioning of the popup I used a button that has width and height 0 and has position absolute and gets the coordinates of the mouse.
"div[et]" is a jquery selector that selects all the elements that have attribute et. I noticed that all the bars have that attribute as a few other attributes as well "part"...

To use tooltipkeys and tooltiplabel in gantt, you can add following code in managed bean

Hi, I was wondering why do we use the break and continue structure in some program such as:

if ( i == 5 )
break;
So, now why do we use those codes, instead of achiving the same results by not using the if structure.
I am new in java so I can be totaly wrong that is why my question come to you guys.

I may not completely understand your question, but - imagine the following scenario:
// Looking for some value in a long, unsorted list

}You will always run through the entire long list, even if the thing you are looking for is the first thing in the list. By inserting a break statement as:

As for continue, yes, I suppose you could use a big if, but that can get burdensome - you end up with code like:

Blue screen/Computer shuts down is almost always a hardware malfunction or a driver problem.
Make sure your video driver is up to date.
If it is, then the next suspect, in my mind, is overheating, make sure all of the fans in your CPU case are working properly.

How to cycle through scenes using the up and down buttons??? (Please help, novice!)

I'm currently trying to teach myself how to use flash CS5 and actionscript 3 and apart from doing small amounts of programing here and there I'm a complete novice.
I have 36 photographs taken at 10-degree angles, making an object and i have each image in a different scene, with hidden buttons asigned to different parts of the object so that whenever you hover your mouse over them it provides some more information.
What I want to do is to be able to cycle through these images in the different scenes using the up and down buttons on the keyboard.
I'm hoping that I'm at least half way there having assigned the 'hot-spots' but I'm just stuck on the final part... please help!!!!

If you are talking about the arrow keys on the keyboard you will have to use a Keyboard Event listener and take note of the constant value for resulting KeyCode

What is important here is that you know the properties of your source file(s), set the project preset to match the properties of those source files, and then export with settings as close as possible to the original. Often you can do this without noticing quality differences in the export.
I am understanding and defining your issue as you wanting to maintain the quality of the original imported files in the export. If that is the case, the please supply the following, and I will give you a step by step
a. What are the properties of your source files (including bitrate). Here I am looking for
video compression
audio compression
frame size
frame rate
interlaced or progressive
pixel aspect ratio
file extension
A quick way to get that type of information is knowing the brand/model/settings for the camera that recorded the video.
2. Based on that information we can set manually a project preset to match those source property.
3. When we go to export...example Publish+Share/Computer/ and your choice and its preset, we can customize the preset selected
under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab of that preset in order to try for the best possible match between the properties of the
original file and the properties of the export.
But, please let us know if you also need help in trimming the original import at the Timeline level prior to export.
Your mention of Publish+Share suggest that you are working with Premiere Elements 11, 12, or 13. What is the computer operating system?
