Using the Image Processor together with an action - original files won't get closed

Hi,
I just made an action to position my website's name at the bottom left of my photos and to use it then together with the Image Processor.
When I tried it out, I realized, that my whole pc slowed extremely down. Then I saw that the original files didn't get closed during the image processing process ...
Then I made some tests and the result was, that the Image Processor doesn't close the original files if the action in use has more than 26 steps.
Could someone please check out if its the same with his/her Photoshop? I use Photoshop CS6 on Windows 7.

Hi,
The problem is caused by your project not 'knowing' about the
picture. Robohelp will automatically include all images that are
embedded in HTML docs, but if they are only displayed via a link,
they do not form part of the files list that is created in the
resulting .HHP file.
A remedy: to resolve this in the past, I've created a 'dummy
page' that is not indexed or included in the TOC, and contains
embeds of all of these pictures that aren't directly set in the
HTML. Make sure it is included with the correct conditional build
tags and recompile, you should find that the linked image now shows
up in the CHM okay.

When does the Image Processor perform actions?

Let's say I use the image processor to convert a bunch of .psd files into JPEGs while also using the resize to fit (and convert to sRGB) option. I also want it to run an action which sharpens the image. When does that action/sharpening happen? Before or after the resize?
Can it be that this behavior was changed in CS5 (compared to CS3)?

I would appear that the srgb-conversion, the resizing and the Action are applied in this order.
See lines 1584 to 1592 of »Image Processor.jsx«.
If you wanted to change the sequence you could edit the Script (after making a backup of it in another location, duplicating the Script in the Scripts-folder would seem inadvisable).

Where is the image processor gone from new version of Bridge CC?

I updated to the latest versions CC and now the image processor menu item is missing. How do I get it back?
I had to reset back to Photoshop CC (NOT 2014) in order for my extensions, actions and scripts to continue working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there some file setting that prevents the Image Processor from resizing?

Problem:
Some jpg images can't be resized using the Image Processor. I'm guessing there may be some setting (?) that prevents resizing but i can't find it. The images run through the Image Processor but retain their original size.
Platform:
Windows XP Pro, SP2
Photoshop CS4, Bridge CS4
What i tried:
- i looked at the file info in Bridge - nothing apparent there that would cause the problem
- the file attributes in Windows only have the archive bit set (they are NOT read only)
- when i run the Image Processor either from Bridge or Photoshop the picture remains its original size
- i have tried many combinations in the Image Processor dialog box, e.g. Convert Profile to sRGB, Include ICC Profile, etc. (i DO have the Resize to fit check box checked)
- i can resize the photo manually in Photoshop
- some photos work, some don't
- many of the photos were edited on Roxio on my wife's computer, renamed in Bridge and then copied over to my computer

Used Photoshop Image processor to batch convert from CR2 to Jpeg and the edits don't stick

Ok, so I had a huge wedding where the bride paid me to deliver a ton of images. Well, i did all my edits in ACR and then photoshop. While in photoshop all the edits look to have been applied. So, I use edit > Scripts>Image processor to convert the CR2 files to Jpeg in one fell Swoop. Well, on my last run though (checking any images for missed edits or what not), none of of the edits were applied to the saved jpegs. So I bring one up in Photoshop (the saved Jpeg) and the edits are applied in Photoshop. So I click save and it tries to save as a PSD file (which it was not originally saved as). I click to JPEG and it asks to replace the existing file and I do. Voila, all the edits are a-pplied. Now, I have about 200 images that I need to do this on.
Is this common with the image processor? Is it not for converting processed Raw files to JPEG and keep the edits?
I'm very frustrated since now, depending on my misunderstand of the tool, I have to spend extra time saving the files again. (At least I don't have to re-edit them)

I have action I wrote so that on large groups of pictures I hit my actions. It goes through the whole set. Then I hit my flatten and it goes through the whole set. Then I go to scripts > image processor and covert them to jpeg.

PS 6 locks up when I try to use the image size tool

My system is Windows 8.1 64 bit
All the other tools seem to be working OK.
When I try to use the image size tool PS just locks up and the only way to exit the program is using Task Manager??

In Bridge CS6, my "Tools" tab is now missing the Image Processor option.

Hello!
Two glaring changes were made in my system all by itself. One is that in Bridge CS6, under the "Tools" tab, the "Image Processor" option is gone. All that's left is Batch Rename and Cache options. Does anyone know why this happened or how to restore this. Also, whenever I double click an image, it now goes directly to Photoshop as opposed to opening in Camera Raw first like it used to. All and any help is appeciated. Thank you!!!

If the scan is in B&W, then play with the Threshold setting here
If it's in Color, then you will have to open the scan in a Raster editing software (like Photoshop) and play with the Brightness/Contrast settings to make the lines bolder.

Issues with using the output redirection character with newer NXOS versions?

Has anyone seen any issues with using the output redirection character with newer NXOS versions?
Am receiving "Error 0x40870004 while copying."
Simply copying a file from bootflash to tftp is ok.
This occurs for both 3CDaemon and Tftpd32 softwares.
Have tried it on multiple switches - same issue.
Any known bugs?

Please check with new version of TFTPD 32 server. The error may be due to older version of TFPT server, the new version available solved this error. Files are getting uploaded with no issues.
1. Download tftpd32b.zip from:
http://tftpd32.jounin.net/tftpd32_download.html
2. Copy the tftpd32b.zip file into an empty directory and extract it.
3. Copy the file you want to transver into the directory containing tftpd32.exe.
4. Run tftpd32.exe from that directory. The "Base Directory" field should show the path to the directory containing the file you want to transfer.
At this point, the tftpserver is ready to begin serving files. As devices request files, the main tftpd32 window will log the requests.

I am using the "G Web Server" with Bridgeview 2.1. The problem I am having is that I have to

restart the web server once every 2 to 3 days, or the web pages don't show the vi (images). Any ideas to trouble shoot - I dont know if the problem is related to my workstation hardware or a setting that needs to be tweaked on the G Web Server. we are using the G Web Server with LabVIEW on a WinNT 4 machine. Up to now these works fine. Therefore I would recommend you to choose a more stable OS.
Maybe you can try to programmatically restart the server every 2 days. Within LabVIEW you would do this by running "HTTP Server Control.vi". Unfortunatly all connections will be closed, thus be aware of that!

Working at a university here in Brazil Unicamp.
Here we have several projectors model VPL-ES4, we were using this projector with win7 however a few days they all stopped to show the image of computers accusing problem in frequency, we made all the alternatives so that One can be reestablished TRANSMISSION signal however all were in vain, reading in many forums found equal to our cases and the solution presented was to use a computer with win98 and it really worked, but with the end of support for this version of the system we are failing to use it, I wonder how we can solve this problem and why even this ocrrendo.

Here's what you can do. Fully remove the xorg.conf file. Regenerate them using nvidia-xconfig, Open the nvidia's GUI as root and just click "Save configuration", or something among those lines. Google your monitor's manual and find the RIGHT vertical and horizontal sync frequency ranges. After setting them in your xorg.conf log-out and log-in again. I've tried this a few times, but always end up with a "Signal out of range". I think the trick is finding the correct ranges. My monitor is a Soyo Topaz S 24", and I can't find any official manual or specs online. What I have found is this:

That review indicates:
Frequency: Fh: 30 kHz - 80 kHz; Fv: 50 Hz - 75 Hz
So I set:
HorizSync 30-80
VertRefresh 50-75
Signal out of range, which is annoying because in order to fix it I either have to reboot using a live CD, mount the drive, or ssh into it. Whoever started the trend of disabling ctl alt backspace to kill an xsession is not my friend...
Some other forum posts about this monitor indicate that there may have been two variants, but I can't find a different set of specs.

How to use the d3.js library with Apex Charting

Hello.
I am using Apex 4.1.0 with Oracle 11gR2 and Oracle App Server (mod_plsql).
I'm trying to incorporate the d3.js library (a visulaization framework) in my Apex charts but am not having much success.
I found this article in which David Mann uses the library within an Apex 4.x application:

I replicated his exact steps in my own application but without success. I do not see how he was able to get his application to work. Indeed, the tutorial does not even use a dynamic action despite what the article title says.
Has any one used the d3.js library with their Apex application. If so, would you be willing to share how you went about it?

I suspect my one of my problems here is in getting the chart to refresh every "n" seconds. For this, I think the dynamic action would be used, though I'm not sure how to go about doing so.That's included in the sample code (line 99). More problematic, though, is that I am not seeing any chart whatsoever in the region. I would have expected to see some chart data, even if it is not automagically refreshing.

Please see application 27083 called Elie_Goodies, page 25. This page has an associated tab called, appropriately enough, "d3.js Library". The Safari console showed a couple of JavaScript errors.
1. The URL used to include the d3 code in the blog article:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://mbostock.github.com/d3/d3.js"></script>is returning HTML, not JavaScript. Changing it to that given on the d3js.org site:
<script src="http://d3js.org/d3.v2.js"></script>includes the correct script.
2. There was a syntax error in a script in the Run Code region. I think there was some kind of issue arising from copying from the blog article: it looked like line endings hadn't been respected as the code wasn't formatted properly. Pasting it from the blog into Coda's editor and then into the APEX Region Source text area fixed the format, and it then ran first time.
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll also be looking further into d3.
