Using the photomerge panorama function in Elements 10

I have just installed Elements 10 and when trying to use the Photomerge Panorama function the whole programme shuts down. I have tried re-installing the programme and the problem is still there. I have tried using the instructions fron The Dummies handbook but the problem persists.

I've moved your question to the Photoshop Elements forum to get the best results.

    Click on Expert and the Enhance>Photomerge>Photomerge Panorama should be available

  • I co no longer use the photo mail function in elements 8. Two weeks ago it worked.

    Any ideas why? Is this feature available in 12?

    Hi,
    Bad news I'm afraid.
    The uninstall/re-install of PSE 8 didn't fix the problem. I also tried PSE 9 & PSE 10 and they both failed too.
    I managed to get PSE 11 & PSE 12 to work OK.
    I'm not sure what else to do to try and fix it - I have tried my usual tweaks without success. Maybe a recent Windows update is affecting it.
    I prefer to use Windows Live Mail so that might be an option for you.
    You could download the trial version of PSE 12 to see if you like it before you buy it as another alternative.
    If I have any magic moments and can suggest a fix, I'll get back to you.

  • Elements 12 Organizer crashes every time I try to use the Photo Mail function. Has anyone else come across this bug?

    I highlight the photos I want to share, go to Photo Mail, select the addressees and press "Next". I then get the error message: "Elements Organizer has stopped working" and I have to close the program down.
    This is obviously a bug in the program and needs fixing. Has anyone else encountered it and found a solution. (I might add that the same crash happens if I try to use the "Email attachments" function.)

    Hi,
    Are you running on a Windows system?
    If so, use the windows explorer to navigate to one of the following files according to your system.
    64bit system: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
    32bit system: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
      Right click on that file and select Run as Administrator then try your email again.
      You should only have to do this once.
      Good luck

    ELHID labs,
    As your question applies to Photoshop Elements, I will Move your post there. Your links and any e-mail subscriptions will follow perfectly.
    Also, I think that Steve G. and Neale have given you some great direction to getting your Panorama "stitching" working for you.

  • Limitations of trial version 13? I cannot load pictures into the photomerge panorama window either from' browse' or 'add open files'.

    On Adobe's web site it states the trial version has all functionality.  FAQ, common questions & answers | Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 "These trial versions are fully functional, so every feature and aspect of the product is available for you to test-drive. Product trials can easily be converted for unrestricted use without the necessity to reinstall the software in most cases."
    However, I cannot load pictures into the photomerge panorama window either from' browse' or 'add open files'. When I select either way nothing happens.This happens if I enter panorama from photo editor and/or organizer.
    Can anybody enlighten me about this?
    Thanks,
    Barry

    It seems your Samba is denying access to these files & dirs. My best guess would be that either the Samba user is not allowed to write (and read) those (in which case you'd have to modify the permissions accordingly) or Samba sets, when the share is mounted, the permissions such that your user is not allowed to read and write (you may in this case try to just set permissions for you to allow you what you want to do; or use "create mask" or "directory mask" or "writable" in your samba config. ).
    Also, what do the logs say about this? According to your samba conf they are in /var/log/samba/%m.log where %m is the hostname or IP.

  • How to run photomerge panorama in ps elements 10

    When starting photomerge-panorama in ps elements 10 the program shuts down itself with the notification that is does not work anymore. All other photomerge functions however are working fine.
    What to do?

    Hi,
    The version of Camera Raw that you reported should support the S100 CR2 images.
    If you load the editor, go to the File menu and select Open, then point to the file, are you saying that it displays the error message?
    Have you tried opening the file with Canon's Zoombrowser?
    Which operating system are you running on?

  • Is there any way to create a circular buffer using the INSERT ARRAY function?

    I saw the example using the REPLACE ARRAY function, but it uses too much CPU power on my laptop. I'm using it for a very sensitive application and saw that the INSERT ARRAY function used much less CPU power.
    I am also not wiring the index on the INSERT ARRAY function so that whatever is read from the buffer is added to the array.
    However, since it is not indexed, I don't know how to set the "write" index back to 0 when it reaches a certain sized array (ie 1000 elements). I was looking for an array property node, but couldn't figure out if one exists for the "current write index".
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

    I will try to answer this question to my best understanding. I apologize if I interpreted the question wrong.
    You are using the "Insert Array" vi without wiring the index. By doing that, new elements will be added (appended) to the array.
    If you just want to know the current index to stop your acquisition when the array reach certain amount of elements, then you can use the "Array Size" vi to keep track of the size of the growing array. Remember that Array Size = last index + 1 because the index start at zero.
    A second option is that you may want to start over the array when it hits the maximum number of elements that you will allow. If that's the case, then you may want to re-initialize the array to a NULL state by stablishing a condition (for example, when the
    size of the array is 1000, re-initialize). I provided an example attached to this message showing how this can be accomplished. In the example, an 1D array grows in size using the "Insert Array" vi and inserting a random number. When the array reach 4 elements, it is re-initialized. You can expand this example by saving the array first to a file or some other holder before re-initializing the array. The example is in LabVIEW 6.
    Finally, if you want to replace the current values with new values, I think you do not have other choice but to use the "Replace Array" vi.
    Hope this can be of help.

  • Error using the ModelData.fromBinary function in the framework

    I have a collada file with animation.
    this is how i load and proces it:
    public var loader:ColladaLoader;
    public function load(url:String):void {
              loader = new ColladaLoader( url );
              loader.addEventListener( Event.COMPLETE, onLoaded );
    private function onLoaded(event:Event):void {
      manifest   = loader.model.addTo( scene );
              animations = loader.model.animations;
              for each ( var anim:AnimationController in animations ) {
                        anim.bind( scene );
    It  all works fine!
    But because the collada is a realy big file, i thought to use the fromBinary and toBinary functions.
    It should be possible to do this.
    private function onLoaded(event:Event):void {
              //manifest   = loader.model.addTo( scene );
              //animations = loader.model.animations;
              // create the binary
              var ba:ByteArray = loader.model.toBinary();
              // recreate the ModelData.
              var md:ModelData = ModelData.fromBinary(ba);
              // add to sceneNode.
              md.addTo(scene);
    But this error is thrown:
              [Fault] exception, information=Error: Unsupported Element Type
    this is fired somewhere from the GenericBinary classes.
    Can someone (from adobe help me on this one).
    Is it possible to use 'fromBinary' and 'toBinary' with collada files?
    When i load a OBJ file it goes well.
    Arthur.

    Hi,
    I dont understand why would you need to use the "bpws:getVariableData" function.
    When you are mapping a source-node to a target-node, it usually assigns the value in the source-node to the target-node, which is as good as using the "bpws:getVariableData" function.
    So, technically speaking you need to use this function explicitly to achieve that ...
    Also, if you want the instance-id, you can use the "ora:getInstanceId()" directly in the BPEL code than using it in the transformation.

  • Using the Array SetElements function

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to use the Array SetElements function to set a value to specific indices within an initialized array but I cannot figure out what the syntax is for the optional parameter 2. I've tried a whole bunch that seem to make sense but always get an error. Has anyone used this function before who can let me know what the syntax to use is?
    Thanks,
    Nick
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Nick,
    So the syntax for setting all of the elements to a value can simply be written:
    SetElements( myArray,valueToSet )
    To add in the optional parameter 2 and define a range is something like this:
    SetElements( myArray,valueToSet, "[3..6]" )
    The .. operator is analagous to a : in Matlab.
    Good luck,
    Chris

  • There's any example of using the gateway plugin functionality?

    Hello again!!! xD
    There's any example of using the gateway plugin functionality?

    To put your custom media element loaded from a plugin on the stage, you can use a MediaContainer object:
    var adContainer:MediaContainer;
    adContainer.width = 468;
    adContainer.height = 60;
    adContainer.addMediaElement(adElement);
    addChild(adContainer); // assuming we're on a Sprite.
    The video element can be in its own container:
    var videoContainer:MediaContainer;
    videoContainer.width = 468;
    videoContainer.height = 60;
    videoContainer.addMediaElement(videoElement);
    addChild(videoContainer);
    Regardless of wheter or not the adElement and videoElement are in a parallel element together, each indiviual view will appear in the assigned container.
    Does that anwer your question?
    Cheers,
    Edwin

    Since installing LTR 5.4, which I've now upgraded to 5.6, I've encountered repeated slowness and malfunctions in operations, especially when using the Compare View function and the Tab key to open and close the right and left side panels.  Such problems never arose during two years of using LTR-4 and nothing else has changed on my computer.  I have a pretty simple system with only a few plug-ins, which are usually not in operation.  I have 12GB of RAM in my Windows 7 PC.  I could illustrate these problems with screen shots if you would tell me how to submit screen shots.  Otherwise I will try to describe the problems in words.
    The problem is clearly cumulative, growing worse as usage time passes.  Compare View feature gradually slows down and eventually seems to choke as my work session proceeds. If I Exit LTR and re-enter and start all over, things will work normally for maybe 30 minutes, but then the Compare View feature begins to become very slow to respond.   In a recent example with my screen full of thumbnails in Library mode I highlighted two images to compare. LTR started to open the Compare View screen by first having the top row of thumbnails disappear to be replaced by the "SELECT" and "CANDIDATE" words in their spaces  (but no images), but Compare View never succeeded in gaining control of the screen. After some seconds the top row of thumbnails reasserted its position and the Compare View windows disappeared. But LTR kept trying to bring them back. Again the top row of thumbnails would go away, Select and candidate would reappear, try again, and give up. This went on for at least 2-3 minutes before I tried to choose File and Exit, but even that did not initially want to respond. It doesn't like to accept other commands when it's trying to open Compare View. Finally it allowed me to exit.
    To experiment I created a new catalog of 1100 images.  After 30-40 minutes, the Compare View function began to operate very slowly. With left and right side panels visible and two thumbnails highlighted, hitting Compare View can take half a minute before the two mid-size  images open in their respective SELECT and CANDIDATE windows. When the side panels are open and two images are in the Select/Candidate spaces, hitting the Tab button to close the side panels produces a very delayed response--25-30 seconds to close them, a few more seconds to enlarge the two images to full size. To reverse the process (i.e., to recall the two side panels), hitting Tab would make the two sides of the screen go black for up to a minute, with no words visible. Eventually the info fields in the panels would open up.
    I also created a new user account and imported a folder of 160 images. After half an hour Compare View began mis-placing data.  (I have a screen shot to show this.)  CANDIDATE appears on the left side of SELECT, whereas it should be on the right. The accompanying camera exposure data appears almost entirely to the left of the mid-screen dividing line. Although the Candidate and Select headings were transposed, the image exposure data was not, but the data for the image on the right was almost entirely to the left of the line dividing the screen in two.
    Gurus in The Lightroom Forum have examined Task Manager data showing Processes running and Performance indicators and they see nothing wrong.  I could also send screen shots of this data.
    At this point, the only way I can process my images is to work 30-40 minutes and then shut down everything, exit, and re-start LTR.  This is not normal.  I hope you can find the cause, and then the solution.  If you would like to see my screen shots, tell me how to submit them.

    Hi,
    1,[~0] matches a "1" a "," and then any character that is not "0".
    1,[0-9].+[~0] matches a "1" a "," and then any character that is "0-9", any number of anything!! (1 or more) and then anything that is not "0". Note that you have to escape a . to match a ".". Like this "\.".
    There is no way to check if there is anything other then a "0" in the match, from within the match pattern function. So I think you won't be able to find a pattern that does the trick.
    Why not use a whileloop to find the first item? Or use the Spreadsheet String To Array, and then compare the desired row or column with the string "0.000000"? (Or replace all ,0.000000, by a string like ",NULL,", then match the pattern?)
    In LabVIEW 8 there is a new Match Regular Expression function. Haven't tried it, but it should be much more powerfull then the Match Pattern function. But also much more complex.
    Regards,
    Wiebe.
