Using the search function in PP CC

Using the search function in PP, can the newest software create a new bin with ALL clips the search finds, instead of just one-by-one? I know PP isn’t FCP7, but FCP has a simple function when searching... put in the search parameters, it searches, finds clips, and asks if you want to create a new bin with those clips. Click “yes” and all found clips appear in the new bin. Wonderful! So can the new PP now do this? I can’t seem to find out, so I’m asking the community. Thanks in advance for advice.

Certain LinkedIn functions are not working. Browser keeps on looping, for instance when using the search function

I go to LinkedIn and type in a name in the search box, for instance "Peter" and hit enter.
Normally, this will return with a list of people with the first name "Peter", listed according to degrees connectivity.
Instead the web site never loads the next page. It appears that it keeps loading the page over and over again, but with no result.
In the end I have to press back or use another browser (Safari) to load the page and use the search function.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Command+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server. Any difference? If not...
2. Clear Firefox's Cache Completely
Edit > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
3. If needed, remove your linkedin.com cookies
While viewing a page on the site:
Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Remove each cookie then try reloading the page. You probably will need to log in again. Does that help?

Can you use the search function in a shared photo stream? When I try to search in the shared photo stream it goes to search in my photos.

I'm not sure there is a solution to your question, other than to not keep so many photos on your devices. If you delete a photo from photo stream, it will delete it from all your devices. To keep them, first save them to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll), then import them to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. However, given the number of photos you have, a much more practical solution would be to transfer them to your computer using an app like PhotoSync, which will select them all at once and transfer them over wifi.
I'm not sure why you're seeing such a discrepancy in the amount of space taken up by your photos. It's possible that something is corrupt given the large number of photos on your device.

Stack overflow at line: 1792 or 1788 when using the search function

Hello everyone,
My name is Thibault. I am a technical communications specialist. I've been using Robohelp html for a couple of years.
I am working on the user guide of the software application developed where I work.
This is a HUGE project, more than 6500 pages.
We're two technical writers on this project. (This is an inportant detail since my colleague doesn't get the problem).
I need your help because I have been having an annoying issue over the last couple of days.
After the project is generated, I open it in the software, clicking F1.
When I want to use the search function I have this error message displayed:
"Stack overflow at line: 1792" or "Stack overflow at line: 1788"
Do you know where this could come from?
Furthermore, I noticed that this stack overflow only occurs on some words.
I mean, it occurs for the most used words in this project.
We have customers all over the world and over the last week, we've been getting a lot of feedbacks about this error message.
I hope someone will be able to help me on this one!

Is the problem only when you search for a topic that contains Flash output?
All my topics contain Flash outputs. I generate my output files on a folder that is embedded into the software.When in the software, I click F1 and the Flash User Guide opens.The search function works (or not) depending on the software version (32/64-bit).
At what point exactly does the stack overview occur?
We have two versions of the software a 32-bit version and a 64-bit version.
The search function works fine with the 32-bit version.
The problem occurs when I use the 64-bit version. When I type in a word, for example "unit", the stack overflow message appears. See below:
As you can see, it looks like the search function freezes while the stack overflow message appears.
And I never get this error message with the 32-bit version of our software.
I also wonder whether you can search on a project that contains no Flash output. Perhaps you could try for us?

As I told you previously, my Flash Player version is a 32-bit one.

That is because iPhoto is all about photos - not about files
You do not access the piles in iphoto - you access the photos using either iPhoto or the media browser - see this user tip for photo access details

Is there a way to use the 'search' function outside the search menu

Is it possible, to activate the 'search function' outside the 'search menu' on the iPod classic ? With 30000 songs and more on an iPod, it would be great, if I could use this option i.e. in cover flow, display songs, or display albums. This way, I won't get any blisters on my fingers, from scrolling from "A hard day's night" to "You can't do that".

A couple of suggestions:
1. If you just have a few items you don't want included when you shuffle then find them in your library or playlist, pull up the info on the song/book/etc (File menu, Get info option), go to the "Options" tab and click the box that says "Skip when shuffling"
2. If there are a lot of items, then you may want to create a smart playlist (File menu, New Smart Playlist option) and set it up so that it excludes all the items you don't want. Then you can play that playlist on shuffle.

MacBook 2.0 GHz white Mac OS X (10.4.7) 30GB 5G iPod (with video)

When an album has multiple artist how can you make them show up on an iPod Touch 4G? I can find an artist using the search function but they don't show up in the artist view on my iPod. iTunes shows them OK when you sort by artist.

Tech support seemed to understand the question but had no answer. Why would an album with only one artist show the artist but an album with multiple artist not show any of them. The album art show various in iTunes. That makes sense but on my iPod I would expect to see all artists.

Wish I did. I tried the group function but that didn't help in iTunes. The search function is the best I came up with. I can answer the question do you have susch and such artist. But I can't browse for an artist I don't remember exactly or have misspelled. Fortunately I don't think I've bought anything from iTunes that i already had. If you can't see an artist it's possible you think you don't have something you actually do have. Sorry, still hoping for a better work around or better yet a fix.

Firefox can get onto yahoo however whenever I use the search function is says link is broken. Equally cannot access google either. Thanks

The connection has timed out
The server at uk.search.yahoo.com is taking too long to respond.
Firstly I have had to changed my home page because google will not load. Then I can get access into yahoo itself, mail etc but cannot get any of the search engines to function. All other websites ok apart from when trying to do searches!
The yahoo search shows the following message or it indicates that the connection has broken. Tested internet connection and all ok!

How to create the WSDL using the search function is to implement it ?

PDF Once the search process was conducted in the screen press the search button, the ability to display search results and we want to create PDF on the screen.
I want to implement a WSDL to connect, not handled properly.
MicrosoftInfoPath has been successfully processed, the WSDL no problem I think.

Mingfei is correct, you probably have no Streaming Reserved Unit configured in your account.
Dynamic packaging from MP4 to Smooth, HLS, and DASH only works if you have a Streaming RU turned on. Otherwise, you can only progressive download the MP4 files or use the Smooth Streaming encoding presets only (which will not support dynamic packaging to
HLS and DASH).
Have you tried to use the Azure Media Explorer tool to test this out again? I think you will find that it works just fine through the AME tool.
The tool will show you the existing streaming Locators on your asset and it will give you access to multiple Players that can play the video back.
You can find the installation package on http://aka.ms/amse
Once you install it, encode and publish your asset, and then use the Publish->Playback menu to test out the stream.

I can't use the search function on my messages in iOS 7?

I have updated to iOS7.0.2 and I now I can't search in my messages - it just won't do anything when I type in a keyword! Help!

I can get contacts messages up but I'm sure I used to be able to type a key word into the message search and it come up with the location - ie. if I had messaged someone about icecream I could just type that in and it would come up with the person I had sent it to?

Firefox was just restored after hard drive crashed, and it won't allow me to use the search function, so what do I do?

After I enter an address to search, my address is deleted when I press "enter" so I cannot get to the Web address I'm searching for. Including a date in a photo caption and being able to use the search function for the date

I have included both a text and a date as part of the photo caption on each of my photos. When I have attempted to search for a specific date or year, however, nothing comes up. For example, if I search for my photo on "Fido 1985", I can find Fido, but if I simply enter "1985", I get nothing.

Use Find >> By Caption Name or Note menu option for such a search.

When using the search function in mail I only see results from the current year. how can I see results from all years?

When searching mail results only contain messages from the current year. I'd like to see results from all years. This just started after upgrading from Snow leopard to Lion.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

I can't use the search function in both the Start Menu and Windows Explorer.

This problem occurred yesterday when I uninstalled a program on my computer. Once the program was uninstalled, everything was fine until I tried to search for a file in my start menu search bar. When I attempt to search for something, nothing comes up. Not
even a single document or piece of text. Nothing.
In other posts I've seen addressing the same issue that I'm having, people try to search something and a selection of files come up, like "Programs", "Documents", etc., except for me, it's all blank.
In other threads people have suggested to delete certain subdirectories in regedit, but when I go into regedit, and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
folder, there is no FolderTypes folder for me to delete. It's simply not there.
I've pretty much tried every possible resolution under the sun, apart from completely re-installing Windows 7. Please help me fix this issue, because at this point I'm
lost.

Yes, sometimes, we can solve this issue by editing the registry entry you mentioned above, I have a suggestion, do you have a similar system or PC which is working fine? You can export this registry entry from that PC (which i sworking fine), then
import it to your problematic PC, please remember that incorrect change in registry will cause serious damage, so backup the registry first before editing.
After finishing editing the registry, restart PC. If doesn't work, open control panel\Indexing Options\Advanced, rebuild the index.

I used the search function, and gaming is VERY unclear

Half of the people say do not buy a macbook for gaming, the other half say you can play games on it. I looked around, and apparently you can play WoW, every steam game, etc.
My question: Will Counter-strike 1.6 run well?
I really want to know, since this is almost the only game I play.

I don't know for sure but it seems fair to say that CS 1.6 will run. It's a really old game (like 7 years) so the video card, processor, ram and everything should be more than enough. I wouldn't count on CS:Source, Half life 2, day of defeat source or any newer steam game however since they all need dedicated video cards with at least 128mb of ram on them
