Using the supplied FW grid systems

Hello,
Does anyone know where a tutorial exists on how to use the Grid Systems supplied with FW?
I had asked a similar question on 1/1/11 but this is start to finish question.

I don't know any terminal app on iOS that can talk to a computer through the USB channel.
So there's no internet connection to the systems that you want to connect to? If there is a connection and you can use secure ssh then why not do that? I mean I ssh all the time into my server via my iPhone, iPad or Mac. I use VNC Viewer for my iOS devices and terminal via my MacBook Air.

How can utilize/use the extended space in system.img ?

In Oracle VM , How can utilize/use the extended space in system.img ?
a) Increased the system.img size using the following command:
# dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count=12960 >> /OVS/running_pool/18_test1/System.img
b) Verified the added size of system.img file at OVS server.
# ls -lh System.img
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 19G Feb 9 20:58 System.img
c) Started GVM and additional size/memory is not shown ?
# df -m
Filesystem 1M-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on

+ Tried working with resizefs , resize2fs , cmd did not work.

I am not positive what you did is going to work, but it seems like you did the equivalent of imaging a small disk on a bigger disk. In that case, the first thing to do is update the partition table with fdisk. Start with fdisk -l in the vm for general information about the disk. Hopefully, the additional space will show. Then, work with fdisk to use the extra space. The easiest is to add a partition, then a file system on it. It is also possible to expand the last partition (you might have to delete it first), then expand what is on it (may be RAID, LVM, or the file system), layer by layer. As usual with fdisk, you run the risk of thrashing it all, so you may want to practice on a copy first. Obviously, the extra space can only be added to the last partition of the small disk.
If the situation is more complex, you may have to boot a VM with both the small disk and the big disk at the same time. If you boot the VM off of an iso DVD image, you can then shell out, then run fdisk to partition the big disk the way you want, then use dd to copy the partitions you want in the order you want from the small disk. I am pretty sure not all combinations will work, but you get the idea. You can then take the small disk out, and boot off of the big disk.
Come to think of it, you might just be better off with adding more space as a second virtual disk. You would then be free to partition/format it the way you want without messing with the first disk. Linux is so good with disk management, so many options.
As a general statement, though, I like to put some distance between the high level file systems and the low level disk partitions, so I use LVM (Logical Volume Manager).

This is a shot in the dark, but try this:
log-in to your iCloud account with your Apple ID
change your password
ensure your billing information is up-to-date
attempt to re-enable your Keychain (again)

How do I share tabs between my different Firefox installations using the new Firefox Accounts system?

I am using Firefox Nightly (30.a1, 2014-02-18, x64) on my laptop computer (Windows 8.1 Pro x64) and I was using Firefox Beta on my Nexus 5 (Android 4.4.2). Recently, Mozilla announced the new Firefox Accounts system (which is replacing the old Firefox Sync Account) and I created a Firefox Account for my laptop Nightly installation. Since the new Firefox Account doesn't work with the old Firefox Sync Account, I replaced my Android installation of Firefox Beta with Firefox Nightly and signed into Firefox Account on my Android. However, when I attempt to send a tab from my Android installation to my laptop installation using the "Share to Nightly" intent, Nightly asks me to set up a Sync account, which is impossible to complete in my laptop Nightly installation. I've tried replacing my Android Nightly installation with an Android Aurora installation, but the same problem occurs.
What's worse is that even with both my laptop and Android installations signed into the same Firefox Account, I cannot see any information being synced between the 2 installations. No history is being shared, and I cannot see the open tabs list from the other device. I cannot pass tabs between my phone and my laptop, which is something I used every week as I visited websites and read my RSS feeds on my phone. Does anyone know how to share tabs using the new Firefox Accounts? Does anyone know why Firefox Accounts does not seem to be syncing data between my 2 installations?

BTS 2013 - How to Enable BizTalk to Use the Supplied ISA11 Value on a File Instead of the Value Set in the Agreement ("^", "U")

I have a case where a trading partner sends two separate file types: a 999 acknowledgement (uses the carat separator) and a 277U (uses the "U"). The trading partner uses the same ISA6/ISA8 identifiers. The 999 acknowledgement
cannot be defined in the Transaction Set List so I need to support all transaction sets in the agreement. For the 277U, I can set the 277 in the set list, but then having multiple agreements with the same ISA6/ISA8 is not allowed. The type
of file we accept is directed to an orchestration via the receive port/receive folder (999 files go to one folder and 277U files go to another).
I would like to be able to accept the file and let BizTalk determine the repetition separator by reading it from the supplied ISA11 value rather than the set value in the agreement. Is this possible?

Here's the thing, all other HIPAA transactions define ISA11 as Repetition Separator so having an ISA11 value of 'U' on a 277U is an outlier.
Let me alter my advice...the first thing you should do is check their Companion Guide for the 277U to see if they have specified the interpretation of ISA11.
But, looking at the 277CA Implementation Guide, ISA11 is defined as Repetition Separator. I don't have have the official 277U IG but if you can get a copy, that will decide this definitively.
So, I would raise it as a bug on their side.
However, if they insist on remaining non-compliant, you then have to get them to document to you the exact meaning of ISA11 since they're causing some ambiguity. If they are sending 'U' as Standards Identifier, they I would use a custom Pipeline Component
to change 'U' to '^' in EDI.

Has anyone used the QuickUSB module (Bitswise Systems) to interface to a USB Camera via IMAQ for USB?

Has anyone used the QuickUSB module made by Bitwise Systems with LabVIEW for image acquisition. I have a USB camera and I'm trying to use the IMAQ for USB controls to no avail. Any input is appreciated.

Are you using the NI-IMAQ for USB functions or are you calling the QuickUSB libraries from LabVIEW? Unless the USB camera is DirectShow compliant, then it will not work with the NI-IMAQ for USB driver. You can use the Code Interface Node in LabVIEW to call external dll's, and it looks like from QuickUSB's website that is the best way to go. Hope this helps.

Create a report using the HEAT Call Logging Systems Hours of Operation

In the HEAT Call Logging System we have set up the 'Hours of Operation.'
Now when creating our Crystal Reports we would like to incorporate those hours of operation.
What I am needing to know is how we can use the hours of operation we set up in HEAT in our Crystal Reports.
An example of how I picture this working is as follows....
A call ticket within the HEAT Call Logging System is created at 4:55 pm and assigned to a tech.
The tech does not get to the ticket to acknowledge it prior to 5:00 and leaves for the day.
The tech comes in the next day at 8:00 am and first thing acknowledges the ticket.
What I would like to see in the reports is by using the 'Hours of Operation' the actual time against the tech is from 4:55 pm to 5:00 pm and then again from 8:00 until the time they acknowledge the ticket.
This tracking only the hours of operation for every ticket.

The last three Java updates installed Jave Console extensions that won't uninstall using the supplied "removing addons" document. Java offers no help. How can I remove them?

In firefox 3.6.13 32 bit on Windows 7 64 bit with WOW subsystem, under Tools > Addons > extensions I see four Java console entries listed. They are: Java Console 6.0.20, 6.0.21, 6.0.22 & 6.0.23. 6.0.23 is active. The other 3 are disabled with the Uninstall button disabled. There are no extension folders in the default profile (only profile listed). There are not programs listed in the Windows Control Panel Remove programs pane.

Since I am unfamiliar with registry editing procedures, I used the manual removal process of deleting appropriate sub-folders from c:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\extensions. After stopping Firefox and restarting it, only the desired (Java Console 6.0.23) extension appeared in Tools > Add-ons > extensions. Problem solved! My printer died and I need a printer that is compatable with OS 9.1/9.2. Some printers say they are compatible with OS 9.1/9.2 but do they need a driver or is it included with the install disk that comes with the printer?

As long as the printer is accurately described as being compatible with OS 9.1/9.2, if it needs to have software (such as drivers) installed that software should either be included (usual) or downloadable from the net(usually from the manufacyrer's website).
Not all non-Apple printers need drivers installed. Some, such as many Postscript ones that connect via ethernet, are quite comfortable using the LaserWriter 8 printware that's part of OS 9. Some of those, though, may need to have a model-specific PPD (Postscript Printer Description) installed, a small document that informs the printware of the capabilities of the printer.

How to use the software supported by system 7.5 in OSX 10.5?

Need help Using iphone5 with Bluetooth in 2006 Volvo xc90. I have paired my phone and can make calls. I want to play music on my iPhone using the car's sounds system.

I have just purchased a 2006 Volvo with Bluetooth. I have paired my phone with the car to make phone calls. I don't have a way to play my iTunes music through the cars audio system. Is there a special auxiliary adapter that I need to buy?

Nobody have notice this problem or have a tip for that?

Using the BEA Content Management System

We are currently attempting to setup CMS under Weblogic Portal 8.1 (sp4) for use with an application we are building. We have built a new "type" with its own custom properties.
In a JSP, we need to provide drop downs that a user can select from, to query the CMS for documents. The values in the drop downs mirror the values in the property fields of the documents kept in the CMS. There should be a distinct list for the drop downs, no duplicate entries.
Has anyone built drop downs populated from the property values of the documents in CMS?
Was this built using content selectors? Or was this built using queries to the database supporting the CMS?
An additional note, the amount of content will increase by at least 1gig a year.

The ability to retrieve a set of distinct values (across all nodes) for a given Property Definition is not a built-in capability.
However, you can add this capability, like this:
- find an external storage location for storing this data (basically a 1:m relationship from String propDef to propDefValue) -- see below for some ideas.
First, process existing nodes:
- for each property definition on the specified type:
- retrieve all nodes of that type (by iterating, or by query)
- for each node of that type:
- retrieve the property value
- check if the property value is in the external storage location; if not, add it
- end for
- end for
Once this is complete, you only need to process new nodes:
- when node of the specified type is added, for each property definition:
- check if the property value is in the external storage location; if not, add it.
You can construct your drop-down list from the external storage data.
Several ideas for the external storage location:
- unrestricted property choices on the associated PropertyDefinition on the ObjectClass.
- database table
- content nodes of a new type.

And I reopen SP and the same message comes up.....please help

Just got same problem.
#1. There is no Box, under Label or anywher to uncheck or check.
#2. The device I want to use does not have an update driver. What I really need if for the Box to check or uncheck which should be there according to Apple Help.
#3. I tried this, resetting the whole computer's kernal extension by using a Terminal command (although I don't like doing that). It didn't work. sudo systemsetup -setkernelbootarchitecture i386
So I reset it to: sudo systemsetup -setkernelbootarchitecture x86_64
But emphasize, again, I don't like doing SUDO commands in Terminal.
So...Anything else to try?
