Using the Transport Controls of O2R96 for Logic Pro MMC

Hi guys! They have done a nice job on Logic Pro 7.1.0 with getting it to talk to the O2R96 every start up. It's a pleasure not to have to go into Control Surface Setup everytime... There are still a few issues that they haven't yet resolved with the Control Surface that used to work amazingly well on Logic 6.4.2...
Firstly, as I am really used to using the Transport Controls on the O2R96 for playback control when mixing a session down. As one's head never needs to leave the "sweet spot" you just edit till happy (never having to continually turn to the HDR, etc)... Well, on the O2R96 (I'm using version 2 of the O2R96s operating system), ever since I upgraded to Logic Pro 7.0.0, but the Transport Controls don't function at all... Not even the Suffle! They did when I was using Logic Pro 6.4.2. Has anyone else complained of this problem yet?
Also, have noticed that when mixing tracks down using the O2R96 as the main Control Surface, that the faders on screen miss out values between -0.5 and +1.2, so that the 0.0 Unity level cannot be drawn manually into the automation just using the Control Surface Faders. This is annoying, as this slight jump can cause a blip in the mix that stands out like a sore thumb and can take hours of editing to get rid of them... Again, have you had reports of anyone else finding this?
If you have any solutions, would be very obliged...

Got the transport controls working at last. Thanks Dave (from www.logicprohelp.com)! Faders still glitchy between -0.5 and +1.2. No unity level...
Tried adjusting "Control Surface" MIDI Bandwidth, and even adjusted "Controller Assignment" parameters by switching 'pan pots' on O2R96 and 'faders' on O2R96 to control 'volume faders' and 'pan contols', respectively, within Logic. Seems that this glitch still occurs while using the O2R96's pan pots to control volume fades within Logic.
Anyone at Apple that can help? Is it an error in the code you guy's have written?

Both are great machines but have rather different purposes...while the graphics are good on the MBP, the iMac graphics would be a major step up. Especially if you want to do heavy duty photo or video work, and heavy game use. If the MBP is getting hot and running the fans hard, that would point you to the iMac with its higher end graphics capability.
The photo and video work would be much easier with the larger screen and higier end graphics and faster cpu.

i would like to ask your advices about possible hard drive configurations for Logic Pro
I have a Mac Pro and thinking to buy 4 x 500GB drives .
there are several combinations in my mind to configure , but first of all i would like to ask which is the best for an optimal system for Logic Pro
model 1 :
1 stripe Raid 0 array drive for ''System'' (500+500 = 1000)
1 stripe Raid 0 array drive for ''recording + sound banks'' (500 + 500 = 1000)
which means to using 4 hard drives as 2 drives
model 2 :
1 stripe Raid 0 array drive for ''System'' (500+500 = 1000)
1 Single drive for Sound banks (500)
1 Single drive for Recording (500)
which means to using 4 hard drives as 3 drives
Or , it is more healthy to use the drives as single , without raid , stripe sets but with its own capacity instead of combining .
and also if someone has an idea regarding to compare of Seagate and Westerndigital drives (which is the best for audio recording) , would be really helpfull

Switches window when I use the transport control

I have downloaded Audition CS5.5 trial version. When I'm in Mixer Mode and press the transport buttons in the transport panel (exept play, stop and pause) it switch the window to the Editor mode. Can anyone help? Macbook Pro 17 "- 2.5 GHz IntelCore Duo 4GB RAM, OSX 10.6.8

I have just checked and it is the same on a PC. There is some confusion because AA CS5.5 now calls the tabs heading the Multitrack view Editor and Mixer, whereas previously Audition called the new Waveform view the Edit view.
So, yes, clicking on any of the Transport Fast Forward, Rewind, Move to Next or Previous does switch automatically to the main Multitrack view because it assumes that if you do anything but Play, Pause or Stop then you need to see the waveform to be able to identify where you are going in the audio file. But I can see that it might be useful to be able to move between markers whilst staying in the Mixer view. However if you have the Markers window open you can double click in there on your markers to move between them without leaving the Mixer view.

What is the best practice for using the Calendar control with the Dispatcher?

It seems as if the Dispatcher is restricting access to the Query Builder (/bin/querybuilder.json) as a best practice regarding security. However, the Calendar relies on this endpoint to build the events for the calendar. On Author / Publish this works fine but once we place the Dispatcher in front, the Calendar no longer works. We've noticed the same behavior on the Geometrixx site.
What is the best practice for using the Calendar control with Dispatcher?

Not really sur easy you would be having that problem. Mine works. You might try RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost). Then try again and see if it makes a difference

A screen can contain a wide variety of elements, either for displaying field contents, or for allowing the user to interact with the program (for example, filling out input fields or choosing pushbutton functions). You use the Screen Painter to arrange elements on the screen.
You can use the following elements:
·        Text fields
Display elements, which cannot be changed either by the user or by the ABAP program.
·        Input/output fields and templates
Used to display data from the ABAP program or for entering data on the screen. Linked to screen fields.
·        Dropdown list boxes
Special input/output fields that allow users to choose one entry from a fixed list of possible entries.
·        Checkbox elements
Special input/output fields that the user can either select (value X) or deselect (value SPACE). Checkbox elements can be linked with function codes.
·        Radio button elements

All screen elements have a set of attributes, some of which are set automatically, others of which have to be specified in the Screen Painter. They determine things such as the layout of the screen elements on the screen. You can set the attributes of screen elements in the Screen Painter - either for a single element, or using the element list, which lists all of the elements belonging to the current screen. Some of the attributes that you set statically in the Screen Painter can be overwritten dynamically in the ABAP program.

I can't get the iCloud Contacts and Calendar folders to appear in Outlook 2010 using the iCloud Control Panel. Also the datafile share which ends in .aplzod is not created in Outlook. The Contacts and Calendar are sent to iCloud (verified on iCloud.com) but the iCloud folders are not created in Outlook in the Contacts and Calendar navigation panes.   I get a message toward the end of the sync process indicating that there was an unspecified error. I'm using the newest version of the iCloud Control Panel, the 32 bit version of Outlook 2010, Windows 7 64 bit, an iPhone 3GS, and the latest version of iTunes. Any ideas how to complete the sync process to the end?

Control surface for Logic Pro

Hi There
Any ideas- what is the best control surface to use with Logic Pro?I would like a controller with at least 16 or 24 individaul faders.
Does the Mackie X Bus emulate a controller for Logic Pro?

I'm using a Mackie Control Universal and absolutely love it. The integration with Logic is top-notch. It would be nice to add an Extender and have 16 faders, but I'm finding that for what I do 8 faders at a time is plenty.
The X Bus has a Mackie Control layer that gives you the same amount of control. I believe the MCU's buttons are all displayed up on the X Bus screens. I'm sure you can find out more in the owners manual: http://www.mackie.com/products/digitalxbus/pdfs/X200OM_Ver1_04.pdf

Buy an external USB2 DVD/CD drive..... (Amazon's Basic model works great)
Or..
Borrow someone else's Mac that has a DVD drive fitted and use that via Remote Disk

There is no legal means of downloading available for Logic Pro 9.. unless you originally purchased it via the App Store..

Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50856.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load. Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

When using the new controls of CVI 7 in my DLL it crash on the DisplayPanel call

I have a CVI DLL that was build under CVI 6. When I recompile it in CVI 7 everything works fine when I load the DLL from my application. But If I add a button on my uir file with the new CVI 7 style (no event code associated, just a plain button) my DLL crash and hang my main application on the DisplayPanel call. If I don't use the new controls (use the classic-style controls) everything works fine. I use LoadPanelEx to load my uir file. The returned panel handle is good (> 0) But when I call DisplayPanel it doesn't show me any error but just crash my DLL and jump back in the DLLMain function saying that my process is detaching and hang my main application.
I am running on Win2k. I have
LabVIEW 7 and LabVIEW 6.0.2 installed also. The main application that calls the DLL is made in Delphi 6.
I have re-installed the run-time engine from the CDs but this didn't do the trick. Is there something else that I must include with my DLL to use thoses new controls styles. The DLL is running from the same place where it was build.

I have created another cvi DLL and it create the same behavior in my application (crash on DisplayPanel). But if I do a standalone CVI executable with thoses new buttons everything is fine. Also I have created another application(in Delphi) to load the cvi-dll and it works fine in that one. So I would tend to say that it is in my application but on the other hand everything works fine if I don't put thoses LabStyle controls...Weird I know...
In shorts It is just crashing with a specific application but for any UI project that I create. If I don't put thoses buttons everything is ok...Any other advises would be helpful because I'm kind of out of ideas...

I have the format for the cell set to 0.00%, but it’s not being followed.
I want the result to be formatted as a Percentage, but instead I get values like:

After testing the issue in my local environment, I can reproduce it. Based on my research, I find this issue is caused by the type of Units_VAR_Percentage cell is string, while the type of CDbl(Parameters!Var_Threshold.Value) is double, so they cannot be
compared.
To fix this issue, we can add a hidden column (Textbox91) next to the Units_VAR_Percentage column, and type =(sum(Fields!TY_UNITS.Value)-sum(Fields!LY_UNITS.Value)) /sum(Fields!LY_UNITS.Value) as the expression. Then use the expression below to control the
BackgroundColor:
=iif(iif(reportitems!Units_VAR_Percentage.Value=CStr(format(reportitems!Textbox91.Value,"0.00%")),reportitems!Textbox91.Value,0)>CDbl(Parameters!Var_Threshold.Value),"Yellow","PaleTurquoise")
