Using the warp tool I'm stabilizing my video and getting rid of the edge artifacts. Analyizing is clear on how long the process will take, but when it stabilizes I only get three moving dots. I there a way to know when the process will stop? Thanks.

I am using the warp tool to stabilize my video and get rid of the edge artifacts. The program is very clear about how long it will take to analyze, but there is nothing about how long the stabilization will take nor when I know when it is complete. Thanks ahead of time.

Warp Stabilising is a two part process.
Analysis and Stabilising.
Both have a banner across the Program Monitor during the process ( unless you have turned that off.
Analysis start automatically on forst application...but you can rock in there and start adjusting the parameters.
You may need to hit "Analyse" Button again.
You should see the number of frames and the estimated duration during this process.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Just use your backup to put everything back. This is one of the many reason that backup are very basic.

Thanks. But the disc inspector only appears to let me change things like where the title menu button takes you, not detailed user operations. I have pretty much given up on this being anything other than a giant hassle, but if anybody knows whether a script could do this, I would be eternally grateful.

When sharing screen from work with my home computer, is there any way to turn off the display at home?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question, but when I'm viewing my desktop on the home computer from work (as in I've connected by finding my computer in the finder and hit the "Share Screen" button - is there any way to turn off the display at home? It seems a bit of a waste of power to have the screen on when I'm not actually there - I just need to be able to see all my programs etc on the remote screen in order to use them. My home computer is a 2011 iMac running latest Mountain Lion, work is a 2010 MacBook Pro.

I've set up another user on my home Mac and left that one logged in. Now when I connect from work it asks me if I want to share the screen or log on virtually as my user. I think choosing the second option doesn't power up the screen.

What we notice instead is that printNodeAsImage(c, filename) actually saves the node with the color YELLOW instead of RED. Is there any way to know deterministically when the UI has been updated due to a variable value change (or because of binding). (In this case the transition from Yellow to Red) So that we can perform other operations on the UI state - like saving it to a file

Is there any way to know when an app is going to be discontinued?

I purchased an app around eight months ago for $13. I forgot about it until I was reloading apps onto my new IPad. When I went to find it, it was no longer in the app store at all. I contacted the support people who told me that since it was "so long ago" there was no recourse. So does that mean that any time you purchase an app it could disappear at any moment? Is there any way to know in advance that this will happen? Never mind that it stinks to spend that amount of money and then have nothing to look back at.
Additionally, I have had trouble reloading apps that I have paid for as an "in app purchase". What is the deal with that? Is that information not stored like buying an app outright?

Apple constantly reminds folks to backup their content. Apple warns folks all of the times that content may not always be available in the iTunes or Mac App Stores and most folks ignore the warnings or cannot be bothered to read them. No, unless the developer warns you that they are with drawing an app from one of the stores, there is no way to know in advance that an app may no longer be available.

I am using cooked file system, no async i/o, no asm. However, by default on HP UNIX disk_asyncio=true ib iit.ora but I had read if there is no aysnc dveice set; i/o will be sychronous i/o. I am using Oracle 11g database on HP UNIX 11.23.
There are several other database instances on that server using oracle 11g and Oracle 10g and they do not have problem. Only one instance in QA and one in PROD has block corruption. Luns on XP are created by Storage

I suspect somehow something was not set correctly in LUNS or in logical volmes. However, HP enginerrs cannot find naything wrong; so root cause is still unknon.

Vid quality degraded after updating but it plays much more smoothly with minimal buffering. Is there any way I can restore the better resolution, or toggle between the two?

Also, before updating, I used to go into the browser cache and copy the temporary file for a video (detected by refreshing the cache window) to another folder when the vid was finished playing, then I would add the .flv extension and *snap* I have the video saved. Since updating, the cache folder is full of dozens of folders, which each contain folders, which each contain multiple temp files, so it's MUCH harder to snatch the temp file without using the search feature specifying the date and size. Just wondering, but is there a way to see or calculate what the distance is in the reverbs in Space Designer? For example this reverb:
It says it's a 1.3s reverb (is this 1.3 second?)
What would be the distance from me to for example a musician who is playing?

I think you might be missing the point here slightly - reverb time is not a measurement of how far away from the listener a sound source is. It is a measurement (put very simply) of how long a sound takes to die away to silence in an enclosed space (see http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverberation for a fuller description).
Of course, you can use reverb to simulate the effect of a musician being situated closer or further away from a listener, but the best way to judge that is simply to use your ears and see how it sounds to you.

The way Sandra describes is for global setting for all your Buddies.
The same can be done on an invidual basis.
Click once on your Buddy in the Buddy List to highlight them.
Use the Apple key and I key together.
In the drop down pick Actions. (it is the same a s Alerts).
Set up the sound that you want.

Is there a way to know when a gif animation ends to switch to a new image?

Okay so basically I want to apply somt effects to my image that I was going to create in photoshop. I was just changing it from orange/red to a more deeper red. I figured I would set the first picture, then the gif, then the second picture.
Or is there a way in FX to animate from 1 picture to the next(like photoshop does). I know when you move something, or change the color, photoshop slowly moves it in. It seems exactly like the animation class we use, except I'm not too sure how it works with color?

The email will have a link to the post and the title of the post. So it would be best to use a valid email.
It should be just like the email you will get when I post this response to your question. Unless you used an invalid email, in which case, I guess you wont know.
