Using three Unicode-enabled languages in BEx at the same time

Hi Guys,
Has anyone been using BEx reports with three or more Unicode-enabled languages at the same time?
Currently we are using English and Korean (Unicode-enabled) in BW 3.1C. Next month we will be in BW 3.5 and we are planning to add two more Unicode-enabled characters (Chinese and Japanese) into BW.
Just wondering if this is possible or not?
Any comments would be appreciated.

As long as the profiles are different (ex. HID vs AD2P) you will not have any issues. But say if you try to use 2 keyboards at once, it won't work. Or 2 headsets at once. Your scenario seems fine.

Hi, I have one PCI-GBIP-controller with multiple instruments installed. Now I want to use these instruments with two differents programs at the same time.
E.g.: program 1 uses GPIB0::1 and GPIB0::3
and program 2 uses GPIB0::4 and GPIB0::7
Is this possible??
When I have tried to do this, I always got timeout errors..

Hi,
You shouldn't have any problems accessing different devices from different programs using the same interface. I even used the two VIs to communicate with the same device. Although not the best approach, VISA didn't return any errors.

Now there is a thing called Link Aggregation, which combines a number of interfaces for speed/redundancy, but it really only works locally, and then only with ALL special equipment in the route, and most likely OSX Server involved.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you're asking whether more than one user can use the computer at the same time with multiple displays, the answer is no. Other users can log in over a network with Screen Sharing, but each one will need his own computer (not necessarily a Mac.)

prepare and execute all your INSERT-Statements
(you'll want to use BIND variables and not STRING concatenation for that. Ever heard of SQL injection?),
and finally you commit or rollback your transaction.

Can I use both Wifi and a Lan connection at the same time?

With me back in the dorms I have been limited to a slower connection than what I would like. Now we are able to use both Wifi and a Lan line so I was wondering to somewhat "double" my speed if there was any way to use both connections at the same time.
Now I know that you can have both plugged in at the same time, I guess what I'm asking is, is there a way that I could set programs to use one or the other? Or some kind of virtual desktop that is set to use the other connection or anything that would allow both be used at the same time.
Or am I just wishing for something that doesn't have any possible way to work?

It is possible, I use multiple versions, however Firefox official policy is that you use firefox3.6 or 5 ; not firefox 4 which is not secure and not supported.
The easiest solution may be to use firefox portable http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization#legacy36 although firefox 3.6 will itself not be supported for much longer.

Using airport utility to control multiple speakers at the same time

Can I use the aiport utility on my Ipod to control multiple speakers/airport express units at the same time? I am able to do this directly in ITunes but when I use my Ipod as the "remote" by using the airport utility it only seems to allow me to play music on one set of speakers at a time. If I stream music to one set of speakers and then select a different set it stops the music that was going to the first set in order to stream it to the second set. I hope that this is just user error and not a limitation of the airport utility because I just purchased a brand new Ipod in order to be able to do this (airport utility wasn't compatible with me 2nd Gen). If you have not already done so, now would be a good time to perform a complete power cycle of the entire network.
Power off all devices...modem, routers, computers, etc....in any order that you wish
Wait a few minutes
Power up the modem first, and let it run 2-3 minutes by itself
Power of the wireless router connected to the modem next the same way
Power of the other AirPort routers one at a time about a minute apart
Keep powering up devices one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up
Check the network

Using a Dell 2407WFP with two Macs at the same time?

Hi ... I have a Dell Ultrasharp 24" WFP display that I was using with my old G4. Connectivity isn't the issue ... it works beautifully on both the G4 and my new Mini. I've read that I can put the VGA cable on the G4 (no biggie -- it's what I was using before) and I have the DVI on the Mini.
What I want to know is: Can I (and is it wise to) have both machines running at the same time and toggle the display between the two or should I keep one machine off when the other is on? There is a button on the display for toggling between a variety of displays.
I've activated file sharing, etc. on the old box, but there are some things I still can't do unless I'm on the G4 desktop -- mostly my graphic apps. I've been holding off from swapping cables around, but now it's getting to the point that I need to get back on the G4 because of apps that I don't have on the Mini.
I haven't put the VGA cable back on the G4 yet. It seems like it -should- work -- I just need some verification that it will or won't futz up something. I think what I might be most concerned about is that the monitor isn't powerful enough to run both machines at the same time, but I could be wrong.
The info at the Dell site is somewhat dated.

I use a KVM switch with a Dell monitor that has DVI and VGA inputs. I only route the K an M portions (keyboard and mouse) through the switch. The computers connect directly via VGA and DVI to the Monitor, and then I use the monitor's switch to make the video switch. Works fine. Don't worry about taxing the monitor.
I'd suggest buying the KVM switch from a vendor with easy return policies, since it can take a few tries to find a model you like.

Using Internet and taking a phone call at the same time

I have an Apple iPhone 5s. I generally keep the phone o/s up to date. I recently updated to ios8 and now to ios8.2. My problem (experienced recently), since the upgrade to ios8, I cannot take a phone call and use the Internet at the same time. This was possible with the previous os versions. Is the new ios8 the problem and is anyone else with a iPhone 5s experiencing the same or similar problem?

FaceTime is also good. So oddly enough the iPhone gets my voice very well in all situations except when using speakerphone on a phone call at the same time. What could be the cause?
A few months ago when I first got the iPhone on calls it seemed like people could hear me VERY well on speakerphone, but now people more often complain they can't hear me. Frustrating!

It seems that the issues I am having with BFD2 not streaming properly might be to do with the slow USB transfer rate. (Thanks to everyone who has helped with this issue!)
So... I am thinking of getting an external firewire hard drive for my iMac.
Thing is, my audio interface also uses firewire (Mackie Onyx 1220)... can they share using a hub? Will one slow the other down? What if I also run another hard drive on firewire for my audio, will two FW drives and the audio interface all be able to share the one firewire port using a hub?
At the moment, all my drives have their own direct USB port, is going to shared firewire a step forward or a step backwards?

but when logic overloads (when the CPU can't process audio in realtime anymore) Logic simply stops playback.
When I tried using a drive and interface on the same bus a few years ago I experienced minor glitching rather than stopping. Perhaps Logic has been improved in this respect.

Just above the field where you type replies in, there are 5 symbols - they are buttons.
The first three work on selected text (making it Bold, Italic and Underlined). The abc-tick is spell-checking and the " sign means Quote. When you click it, the message you reply to is inserted wherever your cursor is.
The preview tab lets you see how the message will look, giving an opportunity to edit. You cannot edit in preview mode though, just look. Only in Compose can you edit.

I have a mid 2011 MacBook Air 13 inch with a single Thunderbolt port.
I have the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter cable which I am able to use to run a Dell 24 inch monitor - this cable connects to both the DisplayPort/Thunderbolt port and also a USB port on the Air.
I want to be able to run this Dell monitor, and also run a Thunderbolt hard drive - one with 2 Thunderbolt ports.
Is this possible?
Can I connect the DisplayPort part of the cable to the pass-through Thunderbolt port on the hard drive, and then connect the hard drive to the Thunderbolt port on the Air?

I have tried this myself and it does work.
Macbook Air - connect to Seagate GoFlex Thunderbolt (Using Thunderbolt cable)
Seagate Goflex Thunderbolt passthrough to a Dell 24 Inch monitor (using Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter cable).
Both the Seagate GoFlex and the Dell 24 inch monitor work :-)
I am happy with this result, so I won't need to get a Thunderbolt moniter just yet - I will wait for Gen 2 :-)
