If both accounts are set up in Thunderbird, you can probably just drag-and-drop it from one account to another. Hold down control whilst doing so to make it a Copy rather than a Move, or use right-click and choose "Copy to…".
If you don't have both accounts in Thunderbird, you can send it by email. Forward it, or use "Edit As New", or use the Mail Redirect add-on.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Now I can't seem to login to that account and I can't choose the option for forgot password because it will send email to the old workplace. How do I change the email address to a new one that I can access?

If you remeber the password to that Apple ID then follow these steps
1 - Make sure you have an email address that is NOT an Apple ID
2 - Go to AppleID.Apple.com
3 - Where it reads Manage Apple ID - Sign in
Once you are signed in want to make sure the email address you are wanting to use is NOT set up as a "Recovery/Rescue" email for this account.
[To check this - Main page where you see Primary ID - below do you see the email address you want to use listed towards the bottom? Yes - Delete / No - Good ./. If made any adjustments "Save" Next on the left select "Password & Security" - Answer your security questions you set up "if you have any" then scroll towards the bottom and check to see if you see the email address you want to use. Yes - Delete / No - Good] <-> Also you can change your password on this page as well. Any adjustments made "Save"
Once this is done go back to the main page where you should read "Primary ID" and change the email address that is showing to the new email address youo want. "Save" Done

I'm trying to not personalize this too much, but it's grandkids talking to Grandma and Mom and Dad trying to solve new machine hiccups. Normally, I could just go in via iChat and control the other machine and troubleshoot, but I can't do it with Facetime only. My buddy list doesn't see the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?

To tell me to mark it as spam is just not good enough. I do not want this rubbish cluttering my inbox.

Nobody want to receive spam, but it's a fact of life. Apple is certainly not selling your address on to spammers, and it's possible that the spammer has been guessing at possible addresses and has hit on yours.
A good third-party program for dealing with spam is SpamSieve - after a training period it's very good at identifying spam and shunting it to a Spam folder where you can check it and delete at your leisure. It works with iCloud.

Can I use Thunderbird for emailing photos from iPhoto?

Under +Preferences>General>Email photos using+: gives me two options. One Mail and another Entourage. Now I am using Thunderbird for my mailing needs. How can I make iPhoto to use Thunderbird instead of Mail? Thanks!

In the Preferences to Mail there's an option to "Check for New Messages" and if you select "Manually" I think that will do what you want. However, as it's more a Mail query than an iPhoto one I would pop it on the Mail forum for your version of the OS.
Of course there are other ways to get photos to an email client. Does Thunderbird have a Media browser? You can access your Library from one - or make one in Automator which takes a couple of seconds. Or you can access your Library from every Open... or Attach... dialogue in the OS.

    If your new email address is an Apple-related email account (e.g., Mobileme account), you will get the 'email is already in use' message. If this is the case, you cannot consolidate your old Apple ID with your new one. I (and many others) have ran into this same issue.
      If this is indeed the cause of your problem, I recommend that you start using your new Apple ID exclusively. If you made a considerable number of purchases under your old Apple ID (i.e., through iTunes), you will still have to log in under your old ID for that account.
      Hopefully, one day Apple will allow us to consolidate accounts.

As long as you are going to be able to verify to Apple that your son is account owner, they may be able to help you to reset password.

Setting up using an external email address through MobileMe on the iPhone

I have an external email address set up in my Apple Mail desktop client and in the MobileMe web interface. It's an email alias that I have set up with a personal domain that I own. I have that alias set up to forward to my MobileMe account. For sending out from that address, I use my ISP's smtp server, both in my client, and in the MobileMe web interface. I want to also be able to send mail from this external account from my iPhone. I don't think there is a way to do this because when you set up a new mail account on the iPhone, it presumes you are using the smtp server of the email domain you are using, but I'm not, and there is no way during the set up process to set a specific smtp server to use (in this case, I would want to set it up so that the account would use my ISP's smtp server. Just wondering if anyone figured out a way to make this work.

Mail remembers previously used email addresses for a period of time. Those you no longer use will eventually disappear. After you have sent one or two emails to the new address the old address will move below the new one. Then after a period of time not sending to the old address it will disappear. Patience is the key.

I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and 8.1 and now i cant get certain music from my devices to show up in itunes.
I have music on my ipod that is plugged in to my car from my original acct that is not showing up in itunes on my PC. Its like its invisible. the only thing that i can think of is that my original Apple ID is different than my current Apple ID. Apple forced me to change in maybe 2009 to a new ID to my email address.
Windows 8 seems to have issues with DRM or something..its like my different iTunes accts (user id...to email address) has hosed the music i originally purchased from Apple. Which is really not cool.
What do i need to do to resolve this?

Apple did not force the user to do anything.
What really happened? Was the Apple ID updated to a new email address or was a new Apple ID created?
If the former, simply sign out of iTunes on the computer and devices, then sign in with the new credentials.
If the later, stop using the new Apple ID and continue using the original Apple ID.
Content acquired via iTunes is permanently tied to the Apple ID it was acquired with.

Cmd+Opt+Shift+E will add a composite (flattened) layer without affecting the layers that created it.
