Using two email address in imessage

Hello to all. I am the owner of an iPad.
I am wondering, say if I have two frequently used email addresses, one for work, and one for family and friends. I know that in iMessage, i can add to receive messages from both account.
However, assuming if my caller ID is set to my home email, and a client or co-worker messages me through my work email. When i reply, do they see my home email? or do they see my work email?
Any help would be much appreciated.

You can use the same ID for both devices. However, for Messages and FaceTime you need to add another email address in Settings>FaceTime>You can be reached at and Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and uncheck the Apple ID email address.

Sorry for my late reply.
It s not the amount of accounts I'm struggling with.
When I create now for both email addresses one account, then I receive the same emails two times.
That is not what I want.
Because on gmx the two email addresses have the same inbox and outbox.
E.g. I can login to my gmx account either with email A or B. It doesn't matter.
Now I want to have the same on my ipad.
One account with both email addresses.

In Mail, is it better to use two email addresses or just one (iCloud)

With iOS5, I have two accounts on my iMac (my regular acct and my iCloud) and it is the same way on my iPad. On my iMac, I have iCloud as the default. I don't quite understand this iCloud thing yet. Should I have both accounts listed on both iMac and iPad, or should I have just one and, if just one, which one should it be?

To wipe phone
Turn off imessage in settings/messages
Turn off Facetime in settings/Facetime
Delete icloud account in settings/icloud
Erase all data and settings in settings/general/reset
Delete the phone from your profile in https://supportprofile.apple.com if you registered your phone there

If you abandon one of the Apple IDs you will also basically be abandoning any content that you have acquired with that Apple ID. Content can only be updated and re-downloaded with the Apple ID that was used to buy it. Apple will not combine the content of Apple IDs and Apple will not transfer the content from one Apple ID to another Apple ID.

Sync your iPhone to iTunes, and see if that does the trick. Also you could try a Soft Reset with no Risk to Data. Holding down both the Sleep button and the Home button until the Apple logo appears and then waiting for the Reset to bring you iPhone back to the lock screen. Are you trying to add the email at Settings>Messages>Send and Receive from (2 Addresses) your iPhone number and your email address?

When I try to turn on iMatch so she can play our music from iCloud on her new iPad it tells me that she needs a subscription to iTunes Match. Is it Apple's intent that we would need two iTunes Match subscriptions? If not, how do I accomplish what I want to get done?

The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.
