Using UK creative cloud license in Belgium

I have a subscription to Creative Cloud that is paid for from my UK Adobe account, however I am working in Brussels for six months and wish to activate my license on a workstation here in Belgium. The creative cloud FAQ says that his should be possible but whenever I try to license Photoshop or InDesign using my Adobe id I am asked for a serial number, so clearly the license system is not working in this case.
Are there any solutions to this problem? I really do need to use my license, and the demos are going to run out.
Many thanks.

How do I use a Creative Cloud license when I have limited Internet for months at a time?  I proces a lot of photos in remote areas where an application that needs online access would be useless.

    Hi Freewill,
Please see the Creative Cloud FAQ here.
Do I need ongoing Internet access to use my Adobe® Creative Cloud™ desktop applications?
No. Your Creative Cloud desktop applications (such as Adobe® Photoshop® and Illustrator®) are installed directly on your computer, so you won't need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis.
An Internet connection is required the first time you install and license your desktop apps, but you can use the apps in offline mode with a valid software license. The desktop apps will attempt to validate your software licenses every 30 days.
For annual members, you can use the apps for up to 99 days in offline mode. Month-to-month members can use the software for up to 30 days in offline mode.
    Cheers,
    Michael

  • Multiple Creative cloud licenses.

I have 8 seats in my edit facility. Could it be possible to create only 4 Adobe IDs and 4 Creative cloud subcriptions to provide tools for my edits? I dont think that Creative cloud for teams offers anything interesting for our needs. If you can use one Creative cloud license in two workstations at the same time in same network, this would lower the costs by 50%.

Your facility situation reminds me "sort of" like this comment:

This is a small studio with a 4 seat CS 5 Production Premium license. They primarily use Final Cut X, Cinema 4D, PS, and AE. These tools are vital to their operation and the content they create. Ingrained to the point that I was just restoring .PSB files from 2005 that are 25 – 35 GB each! I can hardly imaging the pain. But I digress in my passion.
This studio has no need for the traditional print production tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and has no need for wed/interactive tools (Flash, Dreamweaver). So we face the problem of what to purchase and what to pay. Lets look at the options.
Option 1: Buy the perpetual license for CS6 Production Premium and realize that we are buying a dead end product. 4 seats @ $749 each is a one time fee of $2,996. This gets the studio the tools they use, not more, not less. But it also ensures that they get nothing more.
Option 2: Subscribe to the Creative Cloud for Teams. This is 4 subscriptions @ $39.99/month * 12 months for a first year total of $1,919.52. This is a ~$1000 savings over the perpetual license and will provide a “consistent” stream of updates. Ah, but it is year two and three that are painful. This is were those 4 units will now cost $3,359.52 per year to continue operation. This is a three year cost of $8,638.56 to be part of CC and get all the things they will never use. 100GB of cloud storage? What is that, 2 minutes of 4K red? Or 4 of those PSBs from 2005? Useless for this workflow.
Option 3: Now here is where is gets strange. Let’s forget about the history this customer has with Adobe. Scrap that decade and a half customer relationship and let’s assume each of the artists in the studio signed up for CC for individuals. This means no upgrade price. This means no first year discount. This is the straight $49.99 individual, new customer price. 4 systems @ $49.99 for 12 months is $2,399.52 for the first year. Still less than perpetual license upgrade and about $400 more than CC for Teams. But here is were it gets odd. The three year cost is $7,198.56!!!! This is $1,440 CHEAPER than the Teams subscription which is supposedly rewarding me for being an existing customer!?! What kind of message is this sending?

Can I use my creative cloud products on more them one system at a time (Mac and PC)
I want to use the premiere on my Mac and some times on my PC.
Can  I use it on other operating systems with one membership or do I have to purchase an other membership for my other system.   I am only working on one system or the other at one time.

Are there any unique benefits that come with my paid membership?
Yes, as a member of Creative Cloud, you get many benefits that you do not get when you purchase a traditional shrinkwrapped product:
Access to both the Mac OS and Windows® versions of the desktop applications and the ability to install them on your primary computer and one backup computer. So, if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, you can install your applications on both as long as they are not running at the same time. See the product license agreements page for more information.

  • Can I use my Creative Cloud account at College?

    Hi,
I'm doing a Bachelor of Arts (Graphic Design) and my college has a Adobe Creative Cloud site license. I was wondering if it is possible to use my Creative Cloud account on the college machines without it affecting my student license?
The reason I am asking is due to my need to access my own Typekit library for the artwork I create in class.
    God Bless
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
You had purchased CC on March 4th, 2014,
The Creative Cloud individual that you have can be activated on one more machine, as one CC allows two activation, till now it is activated only once.
In future if you want to switch machine, you will need to deactivate it first & then re activate on other machine.
    Please refer to http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html.
Regarding the creative Cloud site license, it can be installed only via packaging (CCP) & it is a volume licensed product, it can be used only on the machine on which it is installed.

  • Can I use my creative cloud membership on a second computer?

Can anyone tell me if I am permitted to use my adobe creative cloud membership on a second computer and if so, how do I download the apps?

Yes. Creative Cloud desktop applications can be downloaded and installed on multiple computers, regardless of operating system. However, activation is limited to two machines per individual associated with the membership. See the terms of use for more information. Learn how to deactivate a Creative Cloud license on a machine.
if so, how do I download the apps?
Same way as you did the first time.
Sign in to creative.adobe.com, download the Cloud desktop app then download the software.

    Two.
From the Creative Cloud FAQ here http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html under the section Purchasing and getting started:
On how many computers can I install the software I download from Creative Cloud?
You can install the desktop applications available in Creative Cloud on your primary computer and one backup computer, as long as they are not running at the same time. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for instance, you can install your applications on both. Hi Pandora,
You can install one single license of a Creative Cloud on upto 2 machines. CC is a platform independent product so you can use it on both Windows & Mac but make sure that you are not using it at the same time.

How can I transfer Adobe Creative Cloud license to another Adobe ID?
I need to transfer a new Adobe Cloud license from our main Adobe ID to another Adobe ID we created as they need to be managed separatly.

Following up, David answered this question via PM:
"This kind of process wouldn't apply to Creative Cloud because ownership works differently.  I was looking here http://www.adobe.com/misc/terms.html in the 6. Use of Service and Materials section and noted it does reference the service as being non-transferable."
So with Creative Cloud for Individuals the memberships can't be transferred – but (per this related thread) you can easily move memberships around between users with Creative Cloud for Teams instead:

  • Business Impacts to new Creative Cloud licensing

    Hi Everyone!
Based on the recent announcement by Adobe regarding their Creative Cloud licensing, I was wondering if anyone has identified any direct business impacts to the new licensing model (cloud) vs. the more traditional, local installations.  Are there impacts on the delivery of capabilities or in how the Adobe software integrates with other internal solutions via CC?  I do not foresee there being any off the top of my head, but I thought I would start the discussion in case anyone has identified any...
    Thanks

I can tell you the REAL impact of that on your business, they will NOT tell you, since is a suicide plan.
First, you will need to pay your "upgrades" (read subscription) as long as you will need to stay in the business. Now you can stick with a suite until you have the moneys to upgrade AND change your PC, since usually newest suites never support older video cards. With CC you can't. They upgrade to a new version? Your softare magically stops working on your old machine, and if you don't have the money to upgrade, you go out of business. Not a problem really for Adobe, the can live without you.
Second, interesting thing, is they will block your files. Not literally, but in the end you will not be able to read/use your files, unless you own CS6 and it also continues to work on your machine (so probably it will be dead in a couple years with system upgrades, since they don't support/develop it more).
So, if you will not have the money to continue upgrading... you are out of the business and ALSO LOOSE YOUR OLD WORK, since you can't read it more!
Nice idea, but ehy, they are a big company, they think you deserve to die if you can't pay a yearly "rent" for a software because of crysys or personal problems.
Hear me, start searching for replacement softwares and stick with whatever CS version you have now.
Adobe will be dead in 2-3 years at most with this nice "idea" they had.
    Good job Adobe!
