Using UK ipad 2 in Europe

I'm traveling from the UK to Greece, I need to take my ipad 2 with me.
The power supply in Greece is 220 V AC at 50 Hz.
On the charger which came with the ipad it has Input: 100 - 240v, 0.45A (0.45A), 50 - 60Hz , Ouput 5.1v
The power supply in the UK is 230 V
Is it just a case of me buying a three pin adapter to a two pin adaptor to fit into wall?
thanks

Yes, a plug adapter is all that you need.

Can I use my iPad in Europe?

the iPad power pack is 110-240 v auto  You just need the relevant pin converter depending on the Country you are visiting and the power pack will automatically accept the input voltage
Just a point as already mentioned an AT&T iPad will also work on 3G with a suitable data sim from a local carrier
(each country is discrete ) A Verizon version will not work in Europe on 3g  at all ...except on wifi

Can I use my ipad in Europe?

What country are you in?  Which ipad do you own?
AT&T model iPad uses the GSM protocol and has a mini-sim card slot. GSM  is the most widely used protocol.
    Here are the converage maps:
    For GSM:  http://www.worldtimezone.com/gsm.html
( Most people recommend GSM for the widest world wide coverage. )
The other main protocol is CDMA.
    For CDMA:  http://www.cdg.org/worldwide/index.asp
( The coverage map is optimistic.  One company with one cell tower means that the country has coverage.  )

  • What do I need to do to use my iPad in Europe?

I am going to Europe and would like to take my iPad with me to check email, use the internet, get directions and use face time while there.  My pad is equipped with 3G but I don't currently have a contract.  Can I use wifi to do what I want?

    Yes.

  • Can I use my IPad in Europe with the voltage difference?

I'm buying an iPad, wifi only,  as a gift for a visitor from the Slovak Republic.
I see that there is a keyboard available in Slovak, but what about the OS itself?
Is the charger compatible with the 220V European grid? I've been told that the charger is rated for 100-230V, and all I need is the wall-plug adapter.

  • How can I use my iPad in France

I live in Canada and I am going to France and Italy in August. How can I use my iPad in Europe.

Do you have a wifi only version or a 3G one?
You can always use free wifi services, anywhere, so hotels, cafe's, restaurants, libraries, and so on which offer free wifi will be available to you (there are even travel web sites available that will list what is available if you search a bit).
If you have the most recent iPad, you can also get a SIM card when over there, with a local carrier and use that (the newest iPads all have international GSM slots).
Or, ask your Canadian carrier what sort of international plans/roaming they may offer.
All depends on just how much access you want or need, and how much you are willing to pay for it.  Free is free, a local carrier will almost certainly be cheaper than any roaming plan, but you may need to research who offers what plans (a pre-paid local SIM would be the best option).

  • Can I use one iPad in different countries?

    As the question https://discussions.apple.com/message/18211193?searchText=Can%20I%20use%20one%20 iPad%20in%20different%20countries?#18211193
    I have the same issue.
As we know, China and Europe use the different frequency band for wifi 5GHz. I bought the iPad in China, could I use my iPad in Europe?

For straight Wi-Fi there is no problem - you just have to change your location and time zone so your apps know where you are - and if passwords are involved, you might have change the language setup - and different countries might have different channel ranges but they overlap with the capabilities of the ipad - and there may be some legalities with the frequencies involved but I have never of an iPad police so I wouldn't worry about it - people just use there iPads where they have to.
However, iPads with cellular access are another story - their use would depend on their carrier and the availability and compatibility of the carriers in the destination country - and if service is available it could be very expensive

How can I transfer video taken with my iPhone to my iPad WITHOUT using a computer or iTunes? I'm going to Europe for a month and want to use my iPhone to take pics and video, then come back to the hotel room and use my iPad to edit/store each evening. I don't want to use my iPad to take the video...too large/bulky. And I WON'T have a computer with me...I purchased the iPad to take with me so I could use the RDC to my home computer and avoid taking my computer at all. Is this possible?

here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.
    Here is the link;

  • Has anyone gone to Europe from US and used the IPAD charger with only a plug adadpter and had no problems?

Has anyone gone to Europe from the US and used the IPAD charger with only a plug adapter?  I want to be sure I won't burn up my IPAD.

Just using an adapter will be fine.  The charger can handle to 220V just as well as the 110V

    Yes, No problem at all.
Want to give one to wife.do I need to open a new iTunes account for her?
No - you can share the same iTunes account (my wife and I share the same account). But when you sync the iPads, just remember to select the correct content for her iPad and the correct content for your iPad.

Can I charge my Ipad in Europe without using a voltage converter?

Just spent 10 days in Ireland with our recently-purchased iPad and had no trouble charging it with the proper adaptor. NOTE: The UK uses a different adapter than continental Europe. Make sure you have the right adaptor for the counties you will visit. This article is helpful:

  • Can I use my iPhone in Europe and will it work as a hotspot for my iPad?

Can I use my iPhone in Europe and will it work as a hotspot for my iPad?

It didn't work for me during my February 2013 visit to Switzerland. The Personal Hotspot feature on my iPhone 4S works fine when I am in the US. Upon arrival in Switzerland, my phone connected to the Swisscom network. Phone calls, SMS, Web, and E-mail worked fine on the iPhone. Funny is the Personal Hotspot feature completely disappeared from the settings menu while there. It reappeared once I was back in the US.

  • I used my iPad on a wireless network in Europe. Now I am trying to log in to a site from home in the U.S. and can't. Any ideas?

I used my iPad on a wireless network in Europe. Now I am trying to log in to a site from home in the U.S. And I get the following message
You cannot be logged in to your account because your membership is not valid. Membership with MySurvey.com is limited to U.S. residents only. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

many websites (mainly ones that stream tv) block all access from outside the country this have

any computer in the country you are in would be likely to give the same error
if it bothers you I'd try contacting MySurvey as you having a membership which imply

  • How can I use my iPad and iPhone in Europe without incurring high costs?

How can I use the iPad to communicate in the Netherlands without incurring huge charges?

Depends on how you are planning on communicating. If you use Wif, then no. If you are using cellular data, you would need to discuss this with your carrier. We wouldn't know here.
    Cheers,
