If i buy a nano in the USA (being much cheaper than here in the UK), can i use a USB power adaptor bought in the UK with no problems?
Yes. Note that you don't necessarily need to buy Apple's expensive product; anything that gives you a female USB port is going to work.

I wanna use my ipod nano in the car. I know they have FM transmitter stuffs but I'd prefer not to have any bit of static and radio interference. So I asked my car dealer to install a headphone port in my car as an auxillary port (they said it's an ipod kit). But using with normal cable doesn't let me play around with ipod using the stereo buttons of the car. So I think what I need is a cable that has a dock connector at one end and a headphone port at the other. But it doesn't seem to be sold anywhere. Any thought or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Questions using ipod nano in the car

I´m using my iPod in the car on an Alpine Car Stereo .
All things work perfect until I install the iPod-Update Firmware1.1.3
Now I have problems like:
The iPod doesn´t remind the last titles; that means: today I´m hearing "Rock" and if I
turn on the radio tomorrow morning, it´s searching for the iPod an than begins to play the
first of 350 songs (for example)
And I find out, that the iPod battery is empty. Normally it get´s loaded by using it during a ride.
Any suggestions about that ??
Are there any special things I have to switch in the iPod menue or what ?

Message was edited by: desmo111First thing to check is the Shuffle function of the iPod. Shuffle should be set to OFF to work with the Alpine correctly and when you updated the firmware it may have reset the iPod to default to turning the Shuffle feature ON.

I purchased an used iPod Nano 4th.with many,many,many songs and albums on it,but when i plugged the usb cable into my laptop(i am a new comer to computer) i thought i was changing the name and thought i was syncing but something went wrong and everything was gone! is there any way possible to get these back? Was the music purchased via your iTunes account and/or did you buy it from other sources or copy it from your own CDs, or did the music belong to the previous owner ? If the music was yours then you can sync it back to the iPod via your computer's iTunes. If the music is not still on your computer then have you got a backup of it ? If not then for iTunes purchases you might be able to re-download it depending on which country you are in. If the music was put on the iPod by the previous owner then you will need to buy your own copies of it.

You cannot. No Japanese carrier offers unlocking. You'll need to sell the phone and buy one you can actually use outside of Japan. -

i currently have an iphone that i connect to my mac air to download music, i have now bought a nano for my wife can we use both devices on the same air without any problems???
My wife and I both have the iPhone 4 and it's actually pretty simple. Add another user on your MBA (her) and she can use the other iTunes when she is logged in. The iTunes is empty and will erase her iPhone, so be sure that she syncs her iPhone, then back up her library onto a portable media device like I did (SD Card) and reload it onto her empty iTunes on your MBA before she attempts to sync with it.

Restore it in iTunes on your computer.
There is a difference between registering with Apple and using it with iTunes. To register it (which isn't necessary) you would have to get the previous owner to de-register it. -

No need to re-import CDs again. As long as the files are on computer in a directory accessible to logged in user then they can be added to library.
Files added in one library are not automatically added to any other library. Each library is independent of the others except in the case of deleted files. If one library deletes a file from library and disc then the other library will still have entry in iTunes but will have "!" next to it because the file itself is gone. -
How can I sync my old music library in my new nano to the new library???
CAN'T COMBINE MUSIC LIBRARIES:
Got a new 6th gen nano. X-ferred my old music lib to new nano. Gave my old nano to my hubs and he erased most of the music and added his own.(so, he has the same name for the old nano that I was using) Now, when I try to add more music to my new nano, I get a message asking me if I want to erase all the music content and add the new stuff. Well, of course I do not want to do this as I have hundreds of songs in the old music library. I also get a message saying that the old music lib is associated with a diff account name and I cannot have 2 music libs running on one iPod. Can anyone tell me how I an get the two libs combined? Do I need to back up the old music and add it to the new lib? Or, can I add the new music (only about 50 songs) to the old lib? (the latter would be much easier, as it would take 10-12 CD's to store my old lib and much time burning the cd's. I naively thot that I could add music to the new nano under the same music lib as the old nano. HELP!iPod Nano: Multiple Users- Single iTunes

cd drive on my laptop not seen as a device. Can refresh itunes and device appears but get unknown sync error 13019 when transferring cd's to my nano. The cd's appear on the nano when it's connected to itunes but aren't there when I disconnect?

From your statements above, it sounds like you never tried to burn a CD for at least the first year that you owned the laptop, as it had a one year warranty on it. While you might have used it frequently to install software, play DVDs, Blu-Ray disks, etc, that's unclear from your statements. Nonetheless, it might just be dirty-dusty. So, before deleting-uninstalling any software, and given they're cheap, try a CD-DVD Cleaner Disk first and see if that resolves your problems.

On an iPod Nano 2G, the iPod will not show in iTunes
Using an iPod Nano 2 G, when I plug it into a Mac, the iPod will not show in iTunes. The iPod will charge, but will not sync. This happens across multiple Mac's, so the issue seems to be the Nano, not the computer(s). The iPod will actually show for about 2 seconds in the left sidebar, then it disappears. Any suggestions about how to either fix this, or maybe how to restore the iPod's software. The iPod otherwise seems to be working correctly, i.e. will play music, etc. we have tried switching ports, cables and computers, same results.
Did you do everything here:

Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
or

My daughter disconnected her iPod nano from the lead before ejecting the device. It no longer syncs and we have re-set the device, but it now only occasionally appears on the computer screen any suggestions please?
Restoring the iPod will do nothing to his iPhone.
When you restore it wipes the iPod clean no matter what computer you use.
The only plus to doing it form your home computer is if you have a backup stored there, then you can restore from the backup once it's done wiping.
If you are away form your home computer, go ahead and use the computer you have to restore it, then when you get home, you can restore form any backup you may find. You can use this to help you do that when you get there: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766

Photos do not appear in albums.
I've used iCloud to stream 50 photos (.png files) to "My Photo Stream" on my iPhone 4S. They get there. Selected 4 of those photos, created new album, saved. The New album gets created, but only contains 1 photo. ? I then go back to "My Photo Stream"
