Using USA $ card on UK account for iTunes

Hi
I was very kindly given a fifty dollar iTunes card which I have tried to redeem - but it will not let me as I have a UK account? What can I do.
p.s. I cannot find a phone number to call anyone to ask?
Please can anyone help?

You can only redeem a card in the store/country that it was purchased in and to redeem it you need a mailing address in that country as proof of residence. If you click on any of the links on this page you'll find a space at the bottom to email Customer Service who can give you advice on what if anything can be done: iTMS Customer Service

Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folder.
Back up all data.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Quit and relaunch Mail, and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Post your results.
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select

You can only use the US store if you are in the US with a US billing address on your account - the US store's terms of use (and they will be similar for all countries) :
The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance.

The only way I have seen is to have each device use a if fervent email account, if they all are on the same email the FaceTime connection is either to a phone number or to an email address. If they ar all on the same email, it is up to the user to decide which to use.

Okay so basically im really frustrated with itunes right now because i have been trying to purchase a movie and a couple of music videos. I bought 2 $15 itunes gift cards for the sole purpose of buying things on itunes store. the reason i got the cards is because i dont have a credit card because i am too young and my mother will not let me use hers. Then just now when i got home and tried to redeem my gift cards its asking me for billing information so that i can continue.... what is the point of that.. i really just want to use my card and not have to have credit cards involved... is there a way that i can do that? On the main iTunes store screen, click on Redeem on the right side.
Put in the card number.
It will ask to *Create new account* or *Use existing account*.
If you do not have an account, select *Create new account*.
You don't have to enter in a CC number. You cna if you want but it's not required.

I was wondering how to use an Apple ID for iTunes Match and other for iCloud and backups. I found an article on the website that said that you actually can do that, but my question arises when I find out that now I only use one ID, all my apps are in there, along with my iPhone backups and stuff. So, if I create an ID for subscribing to iTM, will I lose the ability to update my apps on the old ID?

I know, but I can't use my credit card on my iTunes Store account, since it's a US ID. What if I change the country of my ID? How often can I change it? I was thinking of changing it, purchasing iTM, and then changing it back... can I do that?

After establishing the Credit Card account (i.e. after you have made purchases), you can remove the credit card information by editing your payment info, choosing "None".

Whilst you are in Columbia you can only use the Columbia store - part of the store's terms is that you have to be in a country to use its store. Yesterday, I downloaded iTunes for my Windows 7 Home Premium computer, and when I tried to sign in using my account (not from this website, but from the desktop icon iTunes store) you have to verify the US billing payment. My problem is that they don't tell me how much to pay. My Dad is willing to pay for me (since I don't have a Credit Card), but he won't do it unless he knows how much it costs.

There is no cost involved unless you then purchase something. The iTunes Store uses credit-card billing information to verify that you are a resident of the country whose iTunes Store you wish to use. This is required by the content owners who, for a number of reasons, do not allow cross-border sales.
If you had an existing account, created either just for the free apps or with a prepaid iTunes card or gift certificate, just go through the verification steps to confirm your address and you should be fine.

I have my @gmail account for iTunes purchases, and my @me account for contacts/calendar, how do I approach iCloud and how will this affect me?

I know accounts cannot be merged. The @gmail account has existed for years before the @me account.
I haven't been able to set up my phone yet because I have absolutely no idea how this will affect me, when it was quite clear before.
How will this affect me in the future? What about when my @me service expires (I had just under a free year left)? What email should I link? What should I be worried about if kept separate or the same as they are now?
I still don't even understand what exactly iCloud does yet. If I set up my phone with whatever my iCloud account is, is it locked in? Since no credit card info or applications or purchases are associated with it, it will be of no use in that area.
I am absolutely confused on what I should do, and after spending 4 hours attempting to update my phone, am still stuck on having a useable device.

This point I don't quite understand. It is clear that:
   1) your additional 20gb are available only up to next summer
    2) the migrated account will be downgraded to a free account then.
    3) the purchased music and apps do NOT count in the 5 gb.
So, I don't know what you need the 20 gb in the "unused AppStore account" for. Your documents and emails are all on the 25 gb account.
I think, you can log into your non-me.com AppleID and change your e-mail address there without loosing what you purchased. So, I wonder what would happen if I put the me.com address there...

Regarding the me.com AppleID, you should make sure you have a secondary email account added there, otherwise it might be difficult to recover that account in case you cannot read the me.com email anymore. Interestingly, when I tried to put my non-me.com address there, it complained about that email already used by a different account. So, I guess if you try to put your gmail account there it will complain. So, you probably need a third independant email account....
