Using various parts of the same sound effect

Hi,
I am an intermediate flash user who has never really had any
experience using sounds in my movies. Now i want to be able to use
an mp3 (the james bond theme) in one of my movies. What i ideally
want to be able to do is to use the one mp3 but have various scenes
play only specific parts of the mp3. Can this be done. Every time i
have tried to attach the sound to one of my layers it would only
play from the beginning of the mp3. Is it possible to make the mp3
play from specific points or will it always play from the beginning
of the track?

Flash's sound editing capabilities are very bare bones. There
is a way but it isn't convenient or easy.
Add your sound to your new scene and each time you will need
to select the sound and in Properties
Panel click EDIT - then you can use the sound editing panel
to drag the marker in between the 2
waveforms (it's hard to notice) and slide it horizontally to
where you want the sound to start from
- it's a blind process but you can click the play button to
hear where you are in the sound file.
urami is right - a dedicated audio editng tool is best for
this - then import into flash as separate
WAV files - easier to manage.

How can I use the same Sound variable for multiple sounds?

I need my program to play many different mp3 files at different times. I'm reading that you can not load different mp3 files into the same Sound variable. But there must be a way around this right? Can I Unload mp3 files some how? Or can I delete the Sound variable and declare it again? I don't want to have hundreds of Sound variables so what do I do? Thank you.

delete doesn't work in as3. you must remove all listeners and references including nulling the variables. for displayobjects, they need to be removed from the display list.
p.s. you don't need to create a sound instance until you need to load an mp3 using one. so, if you're waiting for user input to start loading an mp3, you should wait for that input to create that sound instance.

Write a progarm to test two parts at the same time

I need to write a program in LabView that is capable of testing two parts at the same time.
Explanation:
I star the test on a unit, once all the electrical test is done move that unit to the pressure test without loosing the current test information and continue the test of the unit thewn generate a serial number only if it passes all the test. Then while the previous unit is going thru the pressure test star testing another unit for the elecrical test and so on.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

select the section you want to copy (marquee tool or lasso tool) and either go to edit copy or use control c create a new layer in layers (top menu bar) or Control shift N and paste using control V; or edit > paste.

Use two indicators for the same variable in two different VIs

hello, I want to use two indicators for the same variable in two different VIs running at the same time
should I use global variables?? I want to avoid because I have lot of variables and it would takes too much memory,I tried with this code but the value of the second indicator is not updated
I tried to use the queue and it works but the problem is as i said previously that i have many variables shoud I use a queue for each one??
what should I do?
