Using Video advantage with IP Communicator on CME 4.0

I am having issues getting video advantage to work with IP communicator. I am using VA 2.0.2.0 and IPC 2.0.2.0 and CME 4.0. I added the commands
voice service voip
h323
call start slow
telephony-service
service phone videoCapability 1
call-park system redirect
create cnf-files
and added the video command under the ephone. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Andrew

Paal
I am not using Call Manager. I am using Call Manager Express. There is no version 4.1 the documentation says that it should work with 4.0. that is the latest version of CME. Do you have any insight on this.
Thanks,
Andrew

open your default camera application and dont close it.
    step 2:
flick the rear camera using your finger at the top side and the back side of the camera lens,
and that same time too try to tap your screen to help your camera to force/help/make auto focus function to work.

Actually the app comes with Office
In the Microsoft Office X (2001 version) it was still called MSN  Messenger
In Office 2008 it was called Microsoft Messenger.
The current one that can also be  downloaded as a standalone app  also comes with Office 2011 is also called Microsoft Messenger.
This is version 8 and this version is the only one that can Video Chat as a standalone app.
Version 7 required you  were in a mixed environment (with PCs) connected to the correct sort of Windows Server.

  • Using video clips with my ipod

I am working on a project that requires me to use video clips on my ipod(I have a video ipod). I would like to divide each clip(about 10-20 seconds each) into approximately 10 categories. There would be about 100-200 clips in all. I would like to be able to view these clips on my ipod and that they be organized on my ipod into these 10 categories for easy browsing. The categories and the clips would ideally all have names attached to them. My question is: Is this possible, if it is, how do I go about doing this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Well that would explain why you cannot add them to your Nano.
Try using a program such as Handbrake or MPEG-Streamclip to convert these clips to more friendly formats. I have had the best results with these two utilties.

  • Using video sender with Youview box

I have just set up my new youview box.
With my previous BT box I was able to use a nikkai video sender so I could control and watch the TV/box in another room.
This doesn't seem to work with this new box. Is is incompatible for some reason?
Is that I just haven't put the "receiver" widget near enough to the infra red on the box.
    Greatful for any help! Thanks

    Hi Poynders,
Thanks for posting. Take a look at YouView screens not visible over AV / video sender . It’s an older thread but might help. Let us know how you get on.

  • Using Video Adapter with eMac

I've searched all over and cannot find any information on this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to send video from my eMac to my TV. I purchased the Apple Video Adapter and an RCA cable. I have the adapter plugged into the computer, and the cable plugged into the adapter and the TV. I restarted the computer. The TV (on its video setting) shows static with the adapter plugged in; if I take it out, it goes black, so clearly some signal is passing through. However, I cannot figure out how to get the eMac to recognize the new "display".
The discussions on the subject mention using a "detect display" fuction. I don't see anything called "detect display" in the display preferences. I do have it set to show the displays in the menu bar, and the drop-down menu only shows the eMac and its resolutions. The preferences, also, only gives me the info for the eMac.
Am I missing something? Is there a setting I need to change? Should I assume the adapter is defective (I gather this has happened to others)?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    eMac 700 MHz   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

I don't think the problem is at the TV's end, as it's clearly getting some sort of signal on the video setting I'm using (there's static when it's connected to the computer, and nothing when it's not). The problem is that the computer doesn't see that it's connected to another display.
Something I realized, comparing computers (we also have a Mini)--the Mini's display preferences window has a "detect displays" button that the eMac's doesn't. They're both running 10.4.3. Any ideas (anyone?) why the eMac's missing it?
    Thanks again!

  • Using Video CAMERA with Connect pro

We reciently purchased this product and were told that it
would work with video cameras. We have a Panasonic that we are
using with vista. this camera works with Premiere Pro, and there is
nothing wrong with it. I know that Connect is not software based it
is an Internet Application. How ever i know that the OS (vista)
"sees" the camera because it works with other programs. Sorry i am
    connecting with IEEE not USB
Has anyone out there in the world has success with getting a
video camera using IEEE connection to work fully. Audio and Video
    coming through the camera?
Is anyon aware of drivers for either the camera or the IEEE?
And if the Connect product does not support this... WTF?
    thanks

Connect does work with IEEE1394 Firewire Cams, just not with
all Firewire Cams. (USB cams also are not all working).
I would suggest to first try out the cam from different
machines with different OSs (Vista might well be the sole issue
here), also try if you can get an ordinary USB cam to work.
If all fails, you can workaround that using a virtual camera
driver, piping the firewire cam into the virtual cam and in Connect
you can load the virtual cam with the image of the Firewire cam.
Not a nice way round, but it would work.
If you google for "Adobe Connect camera compatibility matrix"
you get a "slightly" outdated list of supported cameras.

  • Blurry Text When Using Video out With FX 5900U

I just got a MSI Geforce FX5900Ultra VTD256, and i was trying to play games on my TV.  I used the S-Video to video (the yellow Cable) adapter and when im in the desktop, all the text is real blurry, i cant even read it.  I tried lowering the resolution to see if that would make it easyer to read, but it didnt work.  Can someone please help.  Maybe the is somthing wronge with me TV???

    Hi,
TV sets have lower resolution and bandwidth than PC monitors - the two are sort of related, but are not quite the same thing.
Resolution is often measured in "lines", meaning the number of individual vertical lines that could be displayed across the width of the TV and still be distinguishable as individual lines. A figure of 800 lines was considered pretty good, and could usually only be achieved in a TV studio, from a camera direct to a monitor. So 800 pixels is about as much as a TV (especially a smaller one) can reasonably display. (The vertical resolution depends on the TV standard, and is about 600 lines or pixels for PAL, and about 500 for NTSC)
The other factor is Bandwidth, which is measured in Megahertz (MHz). Basically, the finer the (horizontal) detail, the more bandwidth you need in the path between the source and the picture tube to display it faithfully. Broadcast TV is deliberately limited to about 5MHz, whereas a computer monitor will have several tens of MHz of bandwidth.
Also, the chrominance (colour) component of a composite or S-Video signal is limited to less than 2 MHz, so fine colour detail will be worse off (Black on white or vice-versa will give best results).
Anyway, the practical outcome of all this is that the highest resolution you can use for TV out is 800x600, and even then you need to use larger fonts (so the vertical lines are thicker, and there are a reasonable number of horizontal lines in a character).  The maximum number of characters per line should be less than 60-80.
There are some scan-converters available which use fancy techniques to render a reasonable image at higher resolutions, but they are fairly expensive.
S-Video should give better results than composite, but you will still be up against bandwidth and resolution limits
    Cheers

  • Using video splitter with Bootcamp?

I need to set up a Mac mini in my school by connecting it to a monitor and projector simultaneously, so I connect the video port to a VGA Splitter box. However it is found that nothing can be displayed on the projector through the splitter box while on the boot volume selection screen and inside Windows. The problem occurs even at the boot volume selection screen before choosing Windows, so it's not a Windows display driver problem. The same problem can be found on newer MBP and iMacs.
Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks in advance.

I'm not trying to have two different resolutions, just mirror the main display on the projector. I've tried the TB -> VGA adapter but it doesn't work either.
But my colleagues found an alternative: using the HDMI output and adding a HDMI to VGA adapter. It seems to work in our initial tests.

  • Using video clip with an alfa channel??

Hello. Like I wrote above, I have a video with scrolling text that is sitting in a drop zone. It looks fine in the menu editor but when I simulate the menu(s) they have a black background instead of the transparency.
Can anyone offer some advice on how I can keep the alfa channel video?
    Thanks for your time.
    Cheers,
    Christopher

Weirdness!! I just noticed that some buttons were overlapping the drop zone so I changed the size, saved and simulated again and voila!! working fine. I thought it might be the problem.
    Hmmm...
    Have a good day all!

  • Camera for use with Cisco Unified Video advantage?

Cisco is EOLing the Cisco Unified video advantage product that we thought would be a good fit for us to integrate video with some of our IP Phones.  I can still order the Video Advantage software until later in the year from Cisco but they have discontinued the Cisco VT Camera III that was previously used with this product.
They list the Logitech C920-C web cam as a replacement for this product, but it seems to be difficult to locate.  The realease notes say you can use a 3rd party camera but Cisco does not officially support it.
Has anyone used any third party cameras with Cisco Unified Video advantage and if so which would you recomend.  I was hoping to use the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 (the generic non Cisco version) but wasn't sure if it would work ok?
What do you think?  This will be using Unified Video Advantage 2.3.
    Jim

    Hi,
We have been using Video advantage v 2.1.2 with 7940 series phone since long, it works fine with almost all 3rd party camera`s and even with the inbuilt laptop cameras.
v 2.3 is an enhanced version as compared the one which we are using. So i would suggest you to go ahead and try it with any good qaulity webcameras available in market.
Further to add there are certain PC requirements which needs to be met, the same can be found in the below link.
