Say I download on my IPad a movie of 120 minutes using 1 Gb. If I view it only a few minutes and don't want to see it anymore, did I effectively use the whole 1 Gb ? Many thanks. (Speed is 5 Mb/s).

If you download the movie you have used the 1 GB. If you are streaming it you didn't.

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select "done", in the upper right corner
sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the security questions.
At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

You have to have an internet connection, either wireless or through a computer with iTunes. When you choose Software Update you can only update to the latest version for your iPod Touch, iOS 6.1.6

If you are like me and tried all of the usual options (i.e. uninstall, tools -> Add-ons, searching the registry, about:config) and none of them worked then you need to modify two files in the profile config for Firefox.
You can find this typing "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" in run (Win 7 - might be the same for others).
now in the subfolders search for "prefs.js" & "user.js".
Open these files (you have to edit both files) in a text editor and search for the "keyword.url" and you will find the following:
user_pref("keyword.URL", "http://mp3tubetoolbarsearch.com/?prt=pinballtb02ff&Keywords=");
Replace with (if you want google):
user_pref("keyword.URL", "http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=");

I am not able to import the Video files from my computer to iTunes. Ending with the error "File not supported" every time when I drag the video format file to itunes.

If you read the "Videos" chapter in iPod 101, it states:
"You can copy movies you already have on your computer to your iPod—as long as they're in .m4v, .mp4, or .mov file format..."
They need to be in either or those three file formats to be accepted by a video iPod.
If you right-click the video file, and it's not one of those formats, you'll need a converter program to help you convert those files to an appropriate format for iTunes to be compatible with.
For example, MPEG Streamclip is a good Mac and Windows compatible video converting program.
Once the videos are in the proper format, go to iTunes.
From the "File" menu, click on "Add File to library".
Browse for your video file, and it should transfer to your library okay now, if it's in the right format.

When I want to open/play an internet movie clip I get the message "the page has content of MIME type application/x-mplayer2" but you don't have the application to read it" - it then suggests I either download Windows Media Player or RealTime ... but why doesn't my Quicktime kick in? can anyone help?

im using a canon ixy camera; HELP says downloading movies from a camera is the same as that of the photos; but i can't. anyone, help.

iPhoto 4 (or earlier) is for photo stills, not movies. I'm not sure what you read, but it occurs to me that downloading a spreadsheet is "the same as" downloading a photo, too. That doesn't mean the spreadsheet will work in iPhoto.
If your camera has a FireWire connection, open an iMovie project and import your video to that application. If your camera has a USB connection (or a media card), then download your files using the Image Capture application. Then open an iMovie project and import the file. In either case, you will not be using iPhoto.

There is no problem using the Netflix app.

There isn't a workaround, if you get that message then the provider has blocked using Airplay or an external monitor. Contact Uverse and ask them to remove the block.

Not able to import .mov files in pre elements 8

Hi,
Using Pre elements 8 not able to import .mov files ,images stored on external drive (WD)
whenever we import it shows icon in premiere elements 8 about the clip but whenever we drag and drop it onto the timeline it opens the add media window again and if we cancel it we get message --could not locate the some files.
Able to import all kind of supported files images,videos in premiere elements 8 stored already in the computer internal hard drive.
changed the scratch disk, in pre elements 8, to internal c: drive (os).
All the files from the same camera.
Please advice, why it is doing like this.

What type of camcorder did this video from?
Version 8 is generally not compatible with video from still cameras, and this video must be converted before it can be edited.
Also, remember that video editors do not actually add your media clips to a project but build connections to them. In other words, once you add a clip to a Premiere Elements project, you MUST maintain a connection to the clip's location. So, if you're connecting to video clips on your external drive, you can not remove your external drive from your computer or this connection will be broken.

You are looking in the videos app - correct?
If they are not in there - try this ....
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. If a movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should hopefully start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK and if the rest of your movies have appeared.
If they still do not show up - sync them back from iTunes on your computer.
