Using Window - Unable to download store or import a CD to to itunes
When I attempt to download purchased music or a podcast from the itunes store I receive a message indicating that I "do not have enough access priveleges for this operation."
When I attempt to import a CD to my itunes library I recieve the same message.
I am using a new PC with a Windows Vista Operating System.
Apple's technicians were unable to help. I shut down my entire Mc Afee application, including firewall and and anti-virus and I continnued to have the problem.
Any assistance appreciated.

Is the issue limited only to applications or have you tried downloading say a free song on itunes?

Hi. I use windows Xp with service pack 3. I have the latest itunes 11.1 installed in it. I own ipad mini. I am able to add music or apps to my library but not just videos. I have already tried removing & reinstalling it. I also have tried with various formats like MPEG, MOV, MP4. Please help.
I already have what you ( ClayandLonnie ) have suggested with the preferences>Shareing Preferences set to share all.
I have tried turing it off, and then back on.
I have tried just sharing specific items and this still did not work.
I am going to try stepping back down to 11.04.4 as previously suggested by TheDarkCanuck when I get home tomorrow. (maybe saturday). I am just leary about having to recreate all my libraries and how long that might take. I have over 1.5 TB of Music and Video, that is why I would like to get it working in the current version.
Just because I don't have a Mac, it seems that this is not being taken as a real problem for the windows 7 users (maybe it is specific to 64bit). I may try the 32bit version to see if that fixes it first. Unless someone else has, and want to chime in. -
OK, So here's the case on my new iPhone.
A friend gifted me this app for my iPhone and it worked fine on my friends phone ( he downloaded it as well from my account and I authorized it temporarily so he could install it) but when I just tried to install the app on my iPhone, I kept getting an error, like I said in the title, either "Unable to download application (app name) could not be installed at this time" or on iTunes, I would get the error "unknown error 0xe000008" on iTunes, and the app would be un-launchable. I have tried many times to delete it and reinstall, I've tried tips from other users, disabling and re-enabling wifi, logging out and back in my Apple Store account, just about everything, even a fresh re-sync, does anybody have any ideas what to do, and what may be causing this?? This is seriously starting to frustrating me!

I keep getting an "unable to download song" error when I purchase a new song from itunes. The same thing happens when I purchase audiobooks as well, can anyone help? I am connected to wifi all day and they still dont' download.

iTunes will not open. I am using Windows 7, and have had no trouble with iTunes until yesterday. The only think I did yesterday was install an upgrade to the latest Flash player. From then on, even after deleting and reinstalling iTunes, it still does NOTHING after the screen authorizing iTunes to make changes to the hard drive. I have tried going to the applications and ending process. I've also tried going to Control panel - and tried to repair the program.
If I don't get some help here... iTunes is toast to me.

Hi, i am unable to download previous purchased ringtones since upgrading to IOS7 and changing to a new computer. My music etc has downloaded its just the ringtones. if i select on this phone when connected to ITunes i can see them in the list, but they are greyed out with a little circle next to them.

Sparkie62I don't understand. Are you saying the CD will not play on any of your CD drives? What happens when you try? Have your tried the CD in a non-computer CD player, such as a car player?

I have been trying to download ios5 using my windows compute Windows 7. I connected Ipad and opened Itunes etc. Three times I have sat there for up to an hour downloding the program and it gets to the end (100%) sometimes it even processses the file and then I get a message saying the connection has timed out and to try again. I am on a wireless connection and it is so frustrating. I have the latest version of itunes. Any suggestions?
Try temporarily disabling your firewall and anti-virus software then try the download again.

I have a macbook I use at home, with OSX 10.4.7. Due to lack of a fast internet connection, I cannot update the macbook. At office, I have a faster connection, but on a windows computer. How do I download the files that are required for Macbook particularyly? I see files only on the macbook software update window, but on visiting the website, I see only a list of common updates, with nothing specifically for Macbook.
Please help.

If you see more than one version of a download, you should choose the Client, Intel version, for a MacBook. -
I just got an apple tv and need helpin learning how to do the window sharing from my computer to the television. mirroring i think it is called. Additionally, how do i get dvds that i own into the itunes movie location so they will be 'selectable' on the tv? thanks for your feedback.
Ripping DVD's is not something that can be discussed here due to the legal rammifications.
If the Mac support AirPlay mirroring, simply play the DVD on the Mac and then use AirPlay to mirror the content to the ATV.
Honestly, a DVD player connected to the tv would be a simpler solution. -
Unable to download new apps on iPad, iPhone, and in iTunes
I download LOTS of apps and they are all still working fine. Last weekend I tried to download a few new apps and they wouldn't download. (This also happens with updates.) On my iPad they would load 3/4 of the way and start over...and over again. On my computer they would download to the end and start over several times and the fourth time, they would restart. "File corrupted .err=1000000" came up and then the message "To redownload the file, choose check for downloads". It's the same story on the iPhone as the iPad. Also, when I am on the computer in iTunes and I try to delete the apps that won't download, I highlight them and hit delete, they go, only to have them return again...so, I can't eliminate them.

For your iOS device, using iTunes and with the device connected, click the 'Check for Updates' button on your main 'Summary' page.
That should update your MB to 10.6.5 and your iOS devices to 4.2.1. That's assuming you have devices that can handle the latest versions of the software. Some older iOS devices can't upgrade and are stuck at lower software versions. -

Sync the audiobook to your iPod using iTunes. Find the audiobook on iTunes, make sure it is checked, and when you sync your iPod, the audiobook will be synced to your iPod.
