Using Windows, how do I recover my 'playlists'?

Following the instructions on how to delete playlists in Windows Media Player; I checked iTunes and all my Playlists and the music contained within thoes Playlists were gone, empty. How do I recover?
I did a 'Restore' to the previous day but to no avail. What can I do next?
I am using iTunes in a Windows Platform.

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

Yes, it is the same with me. I know a friend how upgraded to iso7 and lost all of his game center data. He tried singning in and re singning in but no change. Plus on to of all of this, apple is like have me and him to re-validate our itunes acount. Somthing weried is going on. So verified my itunes acount and it shows under settings that I am signed in, but when I go to the app store on my iPhone and try downloading or even updating a app, it says "can not conect to itunes store" after singing in! I purchased hp laptop with original windows 8, ENVY DV6-7203TU,
I recently had usb problem, I went to computer repair shop, he deleted my original windows and reinstalled some windows 8.1.
My original genuine windows was 8 which i later upgraded to windows 8.1 is deleted, i have some new windows 8.1 installed now not on my name, he also deleted my recovery partition, but i was somehow able to find a screenshot of my old genuine cd key and my name on which it was registered,
Now i have the cd-key,
But when i try to install through windows 8/8.1 installers, it says wrong cd-key for retailer version etc.
Can someone please help me how do i reinstall my genuine windows 8, if i have the cd key, where can i download windows 8 oem installer? where my cd key is considred valid.

Microsoft provides a site where you can download ISO images of Win8.1 -- but it can not be used for OEM versions -- which is what you have. Any PC tech with an ounce of intelligence knows that an OEM machine comes preinstalled with an OEM version. So, I should be surprised by the enormous incompetence of the shop where they "repaired" your PC -- but I'm not! Seems these days, anyone that can spell PC can open a repair shop -- and do untold damage as a result. You will need to contact HP to get Recovery Media. You will (most likely) have to pay for that, and it's usually around $30 USD -- but yours could be different. You will then boot from that (it's probably a DVD or several CDs) and your hard drive will be reformatted and the OS reinstalled from scratch along with all the HP programs and utilities. So, you should see what you can do about saving off files and valuable data before you to that restore.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

On the other hand, there are some routines you can try to hopefully recover the data, and even restore the drive. Of course various recovery tools like Prosoft Data Rescue can scour the drive surface for file types and offer means to restore them, and disk utilities can sometimes repair a faultly partition. In this case, I'd recommend you try the tool "testdisk" which is built to recover missing partitions. Which is a free application similar to Parallels or VMWare. Windows (any version) will run as an application (if that makes sense). Speed can be an issue, as you will be running two OSes, eating a ton of memory.
Bootcamp is ideal if you have a lot of things you need to do in Windows- however, I would HIGHLY recommend finding Mac applications that suite your needs and replacing Windows altogether... For general library squiffiness following an upgrade the easiest thing is to restore your last backup, but I guess if it were that simple you wouldn't be here.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Since you've "chosen" a library you might not be connecting to the correct one at the moment. If that is the case, close iTunes. Wait a few moments for it to fully close, then tap the icon to start iTunes and immediately press and hold down the shift key until prompted to create or choose a library. Click choose and browse to the iTunes Library.itl file that you have restored into the main iTunes folder.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Give it a more intuitive name than "Status Bar"... "status" is what is shown at the top of the window along with the Artist and Song Title, e.g.; how far into the song/podcast/video I've played and how much is left,
Put the keyboard commands in a more prominent place in their release notes when version 11 came out so we could more easily find the information they decided to hide in this attempt to make the desktop less cluttered and
Allow us the option of displaying the data size along with the song count and duration just beneath the playllist title. The status bar is a redundant listing of information except for the data size! Poorly conceived!
Perhaps Apple will remedy this in a future release. For those of us who like to burn our playlists to CD, DVD and even a thumb drive this information is essential. WIthout it, we're left to guess whether a given playlist will fit on our target device.
