Using windows7..I can not longer copy and paste, cut and paste. what happened?
Using windows 7, on a Compaq Presario, for a time now, I am not able to cut and paste, or copy and paste. Used to work by right click, highlite copy, got to word page and paste. I cannot get right click to bring this box up. What is happening?
I can't either. It is helpful when needing a link to send to a classmate via email. I also can't copy address bar because the complete adress no longer shows. I like XP. My Vista does better. This is a major problem when doing large papers 4 class. I use Son of Citation. You have to be able to copy paste. I have enough class work to do I don't need more...

I updated from Firefox 3 to Firefox 5 (Windows XP), and all my bookmarks are lost. Maybe I should have thought of making a backup but I did not think of this and previously after an update I could find them again. Now I can not find my bookmarks anywhere, all files in my profile have a date and time from the new installation. Is there any chance of finding my bookmarks somewhere else on my computer? If so, where are they and how can I restore them?
Thanks for the answer. I read the article but it seems that the solution to my problem is not in there. Apart from the lost bookmarks Firefox is working fine, also I can make new bookmarks and delete them without problems. When I restart Firefox I don't loose them.
Apparently after installing Firefox 5 everything of Firefox 3 was deleted including my profile. The only bookmark .json file I have is from the new installation, which means it does not contain any of my old bookmarks. It now has today's date and time.
In my profile I have three 'places' files, now all with today's date and time:
- places.sqlite (10240 kb)
- places.sqlite-shm (32 kb)
- places.sqlite-wal (865 kb)
But even though places.sqlite is large, it apparently does not contain my old information. Or could it? Then how to get to it? -
I have downloaded Peppa Pig series using Itunes and have tried to sync the tv programme to both my Ipad Mini and IPhone 5. However neither work saying that 'videos from Itunes Libary can not be copied to 'ipad' because they can not be played on this I Pad. I have downloaded the HD episodes is this my problem or do i need to download a 'video watching' app? Please help we are going away next week and the episodes were to help keep my toodler occupied on the plane. thank you

But the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini should support HD videos.
What I would try is downloading the movies directly to your iPad mini or your iPhone. You will want to do this when connected to Wi-Fi, but you can follow these steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

I recently got a new PC and had all of my files moved to it. However, when I sync my iPad and IPod nano I get a message that states that 41 of my items can not be copied to the PC because it is not authorized on my account even though it is. I have tried de-authorizing it and re-authorizing it but they still will not copy. Any thoughts on how I can get them to copy?
"Note: If you no longer have access to a computer that is using one of your authorizations, you can deauthorize all of the computers associated with your account by following the steps at the bottom of About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization".
Authorize the new computer. Launch iTunes. Go to the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.

in my iTunes library I can no longer see purchased TV shows and Movies that are not downloaded to my computer.
In my Itunes account i have no hidden TV shows or Movies
I used to be able to view all cloud and downloaded content. I no longer can.There used to be option to show items that are in the cloud in your library, but I can't find where that now is (unless it's been removed). You should be able to see what items that you can re-download via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (at the top right of that there should be a 'not on this computer' button)

My old itunes id was an email that no longer can be used, therefore, I can not change the password for that account. Everything that I purchased under that id name will not play. How can I fix this?
I no longer have an email address that was also my Apple ID. Can I still use the email address as my Apple ID?
Apple recommends you change your Apple ID to your current, working email address. This will not create another Apple ID, it will only change it to your working email address. See Changing the name you use for your Apple ID if you'd like more information.
Note: @mac.com and @me.com Apple IDs can not be renamed. If you no longer use the .mac or .me email address be sure to add your valid email address as an additional email address.

Had to wipe my drive so I could do a clean install of snow leopard. Now I have look every where on how to move bookmarks, address book and I cal settings. I have them back up on a external drive with Time machine but can not move, copy or restore my old settings. The instructions I have found or no help or needs more clarafication on what to do.

Can no longer copy and paste data from CD to disk
For the last little while, I can no longer copy (right-click > Copy "DATA CD") and paste (right-click > Paste Item) a data CD to a drive.
i keep getting the error "This operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."
This is whether I attempt to copy to system drive (Desktop) or volumes which have their permissions ignored.

Dual 2.0 G5 Mac OS X (10.4.4)Never mind. Apparently there was something going wrong with the Finder. I ran Onyx, and things are back to normal now. I was concerned because I actually saw similar but not identical behavior on two Leopard machines. Running Onyx on the 2nd one now.

After updating numbers and pages I can no longer copy multiple cells from numbers and paste and match style to pages. I used to be able to select multipule cells in a row (such as company name, address, etc.) then paste and match style on to a pages letter. I found the paste and match style option in the edit menu, however it will only work one cell at a time. Before the update is was working great.
For diagnosing purpose thy the procedure in a new user account and see if it works there. You create a new user account in the System Preferences > Accounts. If it works in the new account it is probably a corrupt plist file that needs to be deleted.

I am trying to copy many titles of music from my pc to the latest I Tunes. I can no longer copy and paste them like I used to be able to do. I need serious help here. Any thoughts or resolutions? Frustrated

I may be reading too much into things, but is your media stored in a bunch of folders where each folder represents a playlist? If so my script ImportFolderStructure might be useful to you...

how can i retrieve information from time machine if my computer has less storage capacity? How can I access data that is on my time machine but can not be copied to a computer with less storage capacity? I used to have 180 GB, now I have 128 GB.

If so, I would use the Adobe Flash uninstaller then download the latest version from the Adobe site and reinstall. -
(v 5.5) I can no longer copy and paste from one layer to another.
I can no longer copy and paste from one layer to another in Illustrator (5.5). This started happening a few days ago. Restarting Illustrator and also my computer (Mac) didn't help. Any ideas?
To clarify: If I select an object in layer 1 using command/c or command/x then select layer 2 and press command/v the object gets pasted back into layer 1 instead of layer 2. I've tried everything I can think of and can't correct the problem.
Now the only way I can get an object from one layer to another is to drag it into another layer in the layers window.
