Using wordtemplates in Activity management

Hi Experts.
I have a question regarding Word templates in SAP CRM in 4.0, I hope you can help me.
We want to use word templates for merge fields for the activity/attachments tab in the portal. I have made some tests for the account/attachments tab, and here it works fairly, a little unstable, but I guess that I could find some SAP notes on the subject.
My question for you is:
It is my experience that you use BUS1006 for attaching templates to the account/attachment tab and use BUS2000126 for the activities/attachments tab (please correct me if I am wrong). In transaction CRM_KW_TEMPL, I see that the "merge" fields are only availeble standard for the BUS1006, so standard, it is not possible to use merge fields for the attachments you put under activities, not BP CRM data/fields or activity data/fields. I have read about the BADI, and we are right now working on that one.
My question is, is it possible, with a badi, to add merge fields to the BUS2000126. If possible, I would also like to know, is it only possible to add merge fields from account data, or also from activity data.
Or is it possible to use BUS1006 under the activities attachments tab?

    A TimesTen A/S pair is a replicated configuation where a pair of TimesTen datastores, usually located on different machines, act in many ways as a single unit. The active master can process both queries and DML (insert/update/delete) while the standby master can only process queries (think of this as a little like Active Dataguard). Applications that run on the same machine as one of the TT datastores can connect to it via the very high performance 'direct mode' while applications running on other machines can access the datastores in client/server mode. There is a clearly defined procedure for failing over if the active master fails (which involves promoting the standby master to active) and for recovering a failed store back to the correct role. Direct mode applications must failover with the datastore whereas for client/server applications the connection(s) need to be failed over. The basic A/S pair replication mechanism has been available since TimesTen 6.0. The replication configuration is defined via special SQL syntax and monitoring and management (failover control etc.) is performed by way of built-in procedure calls. However, in TT 6.0 and 7.0 the actual monitoring and management of the A/S pair, including failover, is left for the user to implement themselvses or via some custom integration with an external cluster manager.
    TimesTen 11g adds two major new capabilities:
    1. Automatic client connection failover for client/server connections. Think of this as very similar to Oracle DB TAF and FAN. This does not require VIPs or Clusterware since it is implemented completely within TimesTen. However it works very well when used in onjunction with Clusterware.
    2. A deep integration between TimesTen and Oracle Clusterware. All aspects of Timesten A/S pair definition, deployment, management and recovery are handled by Clusterware. There is just a single configuration file and a single TimesTen utility (ttCWAdmin) involved. Of course you need a properly configured Clusterware setup first which will require some form of shared storage (for OCR and voting disks) but TT storage (checkpoint and log files) does not need to be on shared storage. Setting up TT for use with Clusterware is very quick and easy (maybe 30 minutes the first time you do it and much quicker thereafter once you know what you are doing). From then on Clusterware will manage all aspects of failover and recovery completely automatically. VIPs are not required but can be used if desired e.g. for application failover purposes. Clusterware can also manage the failover of direct mode applications. Also, you can define automated backup cycles and spare nodes that can be used if a node suffers some permanent failure. The Clusterware integration offers very rich functionality but also very fast failover (typically just a few seconds in my testing).

    here in for parameter lt_status1 u can fill up your required status and then execute the FM.
    After that execute FM BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.

    Consider the following:
    if you use your local CA server to issue digital signature certificates, there is no cost, because you are eligible to issue so many certificates as you need. However, documents signed by these certificates will be considered trusted only within your AD
    forest and other machines that explicitly trust your local CA. Any external client will not trust your signatures.
    If you want to make your signature trusted outside your network (say, in worldwide), you need to pruchase a certificate from trusted commercial CA (VeriSign, GoDaddy, GlobalSign, StartCom, etc) according to respective vendor price list. In that case you
    don't need to have your local CA server, because it is not used. All certificate management is performed by the external CA. A most common scenario is to purchase signing certificate for particular departament principals (head managers) or few certificates
    for a whole company (all documents are revised by a responsible person or persons who holds signing certificate and sign them after review).
    so, it is not clear from your post what exactly you need.

    yeah u can achiecve this,just go inside the activity journal in the easy access,there you can maitain the template as and how you like
    there you can write ur text and remembner before saving you got to release the same for the further use
    and in similar way you can maintain another template with different text,
    also your requirement can be achieved by creating a customised smartform for the activity transaction in which it will be the way you like your template(the layout will be customised)

    Hi,
    From your description, it is recommended to suspend the failed database copy at first using the cmdlet below.
    Suspend-MailboxDatabaseCopy -Identity "xxx"
    And then reseed the database with a new copy using Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy -Identity "xxx" -DeleteExistingFiles cmdlet.

  • Volume Activation Management Tool invalid characters bug.

    I have a Multiple Activation Key from my Technet subscription for Windows 8 Enterprise, and wanted to
    find out how many activations I am allowed, and how many I have left. I was advised by a colleague to
    download and install the Volume Activation Management Tool 2.0 from Microsoft.
    Whilst using this tool, I've found what appears to be a rather serious bug. It does not allow entry of the
    product key I wish to manage. If I copy/paste the key under Add Product Keys, it deliberately ignores
    one of the characters in the second section of the product key, specifically the letter N.
    If I attempt to enter the key manually, it says Invalid character in the product key when I come to this
    particular letter. On further investigation, VAMT 2.0 sees several other letters as invalid characters.
    It wrongly says all of the following letters are invalid characters - A - E - I - L - N - O - U - S - Z .
    This bug makes it impossible to add the product key, and almost impossible to add any other key.

    Which problem are you referring to?
    The first issue was with VAMT not recognizing some the characters in the newer product keys, the solution for that is to use VAMT 3.0 or preferably VAMT 3.1 now.
    the second issue is the prompt to create a database and all you need to do is enter a name on the database line and it will create one( leave the Server line alone.)

    Tried that ... it doesn't work. I type my machine name into the Database line and after a few seconds I get this . . .
    Running SQL Server Express, the server name is listed as DJGMPC/SQLEXPRESS, so I put that in the Server line
    and type the machine name DJGMPC in the Database line, and VAMT finally establishes a connection with
    this SQL Server that shouldn't really be needed in the first place, when VAMT2 managed OK without it.

  • Intel Active Management Technology Status

    4 months ago I bought Lenovo X61 ThinkPad notebook has Intel Centrino vPro, just few days ago, each time I start the notebook a pop-up note come up into my screen that the status of Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) is disable, and I should contact authorized system administrator; on the same pop-up a note stating "click here"; I done that and it took me to Intel website, when I read the page, it made me to understand that AMT has something to do with my notebook security.
    I shall be grateful if could help me to solve this problem/technical issue to enable the AMT.

    I think the Macdreamy means that you have to use the Toshiba original Recovery CD to reinstall the system on your notebook.
    The point is that this error could appear if some necessary and essential system files are damage/removed/changed.

    As far as I know the Toshiba image (on the Toshiba Recovery CD) is already activated and you dont need any keys for OS activating.
    The key at the bottom of the unit belongs to the installed image and it cannot be used with second Windows XP operating system!!!
    If you want to use and install the XP on this machine then you would need a original MS Windows XP CD with the right key!
    However, back to the Recovery procedure;
    Just put the Recovery CD into the CD/DVD drive -> boot from the recovery CD -> follow the instruction and after a short time the new OS with all Toshiba drivers and tools should be installed correctly.
    But note; As Macdreamy already said the data backup could be needed because the Recovery CD formats the whole HDD.

    If you require your activity to be displayed in your inbox, then you need to do Grooupware Integration.
    Groupware Integration is used to integrate CRM Activity Management with the groupware applications, that is Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, allowing you to synchronize business activities and tasks in your CRM calendar and your own groupware calendar.
    To map the CRM statuses to groupware statuses, you Customize for CRM by choosing Customer Relationship Management -> Transactions -> Settings for Activities -> Mapping of Activities to Groupware -> Map Activity Status to Groupware.
