Using WRT54GS to connect Desktop, Laptop, and PS3 to Network

Hello. I currently have a Linksys WRT54GS plugged into my Comcast Cable Modem (the Motorola one without build-in WiFi). I have my desktop connected via an ethernet cable. My laptop and PS3 are wireless. I have been trying for some time to set up a network in my home where: I have internet on all 3 devices, the desktop and laptop can share files, and the PS3 can view the files on both computers. I know this is possible. So far, my PS3 recognizes my laptops shared files by default (no changes to network made). The only device out of the loop is my desktop machine.
By the way, both computers are running Vista Ultimate and the PS3 is on Firmware 2.60. The router has the latest firmware also.

You have 2 activations, meaning you can use it on 2 computers. Mobile devices are treated separately and are not tied to the activation limit. Whether or not you will be able to work on your documents across will depend on syncing them or making them otherwise available through some shared (web) storage.

Just updated KIES and can no longer connect my laptop and S4?

I've been using KIES for a year. Was just prompted to update it. Did so (to version 2.6.0.13091.9) and now I can no longer connect my laptop and Galaxy S4.
I'm getting the following message which is, of course, nearly worthless:
     Reconnect the device in Samsung Kies (PC Studio) mode.
     Current connection mode not supported by Kies.
     Check the USB settings.
     (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging (x))
1) "PC Studio" has no actual meaning; after searching online I found what they're trying to tell me is the phone must be in MTP mode rather than USB debugging mode.
2) The Settings path above is wrong; I DID manage to find the proper path to turn off debugging & switch to MTP, but that doesn't help.
3) uninstalled & reinstalled KIES; no help
Any ideas?
I know 1000's of other people are having this problem, so I'm a bit surprised VZ doesn't have a ready answer here.

Can I sync a desktop, laptop and iPhone?

I want to sync my desktop, laptop and iPhone - I am able to sync 2 of the 3 - but not all 3 of them.
Is it possible to sync them all?
If not, if I bookmark something on the one that isn't synced, then it won't be added to my iphone (for example).

You are talking about the menu bar of Itunes, right?
Yes. With iTunes open the menu bar is at the top of your screen.
where exactly is the Store/synck you iphone option?
After you authorize the computer connect your iPhone then follow the instructions here > iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
When you are done transferring the data to the desktop, right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Back Up.
That way you will have a backup just in case you need to restore your iPhone.

No, but cellular data will be used at whatever international roaming rate you carrier charges for data in whatever country.
Exchanging iMessages requires the same thing as email - an available internet connection. SMS/MMS is completely separate from iMessage.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

You don't need mobile me, you just need to know your mac's ip and have vnc
client software of some sort running on the machine you are travelling with.

How to set up internet connection to laptop and desktop?

I have a modem connected to an old lynksis router. I have my desktop hooked in port 2 on the router and my laptop in port one..
The desktop's network map shows it connected to a switch(my router) and the switch to my laptop and the laptop to the internet..
Thus I have internet connection on my desktop
but my problem is that the network map on the laptop shows it connected to the switch and the switch to my desktop
thus no internet connection..
how do I connect the laptop to the internet as well as share files? I'm confused after fiddling around for an hour.

First, are you using Wifi for Internet on the MBP?
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list, Wifi on the MBP.
In Shating on both, enable File Sharing, Screen Sharing, & Web Sharing on both.
Then with the Ethernet cable between the two, find the IPs of both, or use Finder>Go>Connect to Server>Browse... see what shows up.

Why Illustrator won't use VGA or GPU in laptops and desktops. ?

I am really got pissed off with illustrator because it cannot handle big files sometimes. When I apply massive affetcs with many objects..... it says error or it wont apply any effects and it is slow without a GPU.
I hope illustrator can utilize the VGA effectively.
Please Adobe give the illustrator an update to use the VGA in desktops as well as the GPU in Laptops !

I'm pretty sure Ai operates using 2 primary sources of memory: 1.) RAM, and 2.) Scratch Disk space. GPU refers to the amount of memory available to your graphics card ( if I'm not mistaken ). RAM usually operates your system and your applications. Part of that is fulfilling commands. When it comes to processing effects and saving, Ai usually has to access scratch disk space ( i.e., your hard drive(s) ). Over time that space can become fragmented and there is not enough "chunks" of space to access and the operation fails. Try clearing some space and/or check your permissions ( Mac ). If you are on a PC; run some routine maintanence scripts to clean things up a bit.
