USPPI EIN in Shipper's Letter of Instructions

Hi All,
I am not able to populate Block 1b. of Shipper's Letter of Instructions (USPPI EIN or ID No) for Export.
I tried to maintain Business Identification Number for Enterprise Organization in transaction /SAPSLL/BP_MAIN_BIN. The drop down for Business Partner field under 'Legal Unit Selection for BIN' brings up only FTO data, not Legal Unit data.
Apart from maintaining this transaction, any other config settings are to be verified to populate this block in SLI?
Appreciate your help
Thanks
Sreekar

Thanks Nityanand,
I entered the Id # in FTO and it populates in SLI.
Thanks for your help.

  • Import Leter of credit

    Hello peers,
can any one tell me the configuration steps for LC process in SAP. pls am struck in middle.
    Thanks
    Murali

    Hi,
Import Process Involving a Letter of Credit
You (the importer) first request a quote for the merchandise. This may or may not include transportation and insurance costs.
You prepare a purchase order based on the offer received from the exporter.
The exporter creates a pro forma invoice and sends it to you.
You open a letter of credit with the opening bank in the country of import.
This involves advising the bank of the documents required from the exporter. As an importer, you not only need the documents required by customs, but also the documents that are required by any other agency regulating your commodity. These may include
    Bills of lading
    Commercial invoice
    Export packing list
Shipper's Export Declaration (SED) (Required in the USA for goods valued at $2501 or more)
Shipper's Letter of Instructions (SLI) (applies only to the USA)
Single Administrative Document (SAD) (applies only to the EU)
    Certificate of Origin
    Insurance certificates
    Licenses (when necessary)
Using the SAP FT application, you can  create the letter of credit yourself before contacting the opening bank. Other than insurance certificates, you can also create the documents listed above using FT.
The opening bank sends the letter of credit to the advising bank in the exporter's country.
The advising bank advises the exporter that a letter of credit has been opened in his favor.
The exporter ships the merchandise in accordance with the terms stipulated in the letter of credit.
The exporter gives the documents proving that the shipment was made in conformance with the letter of credit to the advising bank.
The advising bank pays the exporter based on the documents received.
The advising bank transfers the documents to the opening bank and receives payment.
The opening bank gives the documents to you (the importer).
You calculate the duty rates, file the declaration with customs and pay the customs duties within the time frame required by law.
    Hope this helps you.

  • How to print custom documents through custom program

    Hi,
I am printing custom documents like Commercial Invoice, Shipper's Letter of Instructions,  Shipper's Export Declaration , using communication tab of custom declarations. SInce user wanted output with a changed layout( different from standard), so new Activity messages ( like ZP100 in place of standard P100) are created to call Z forms ( new PDF from created using SFP and called for this Message type). This part is done our fucntional team. This customize message type is calling my custom Z forms. But all these Z forms are not allowing printing of the document from Preview of PDF. Print Icon become disabled in the preview. Used wants to print from preview of PDF itself.
There is a parameter in BADI  DOC_PERSONALIZE_BCS method parameter 'NOPRINT', which is passed with value 'X' in the function module to create PDF. SInce this is set to 'X' it is not letting us print from preview.
So, can anyone help me in finding what can I do to get this print enabled from preview. If I need to change this method, then what are the steps and how standard configurations will be changed to call Zprogram in place of standard.

    Hi Swati,
The Badi you mentioned should help you, try changing the importing parameter in your local structure and pass this local variable, instead of the imported (IS_outputparams-noprint = 'X' ) to the function below. This is an example, you`ll need to declare data as well :
    Method IF_EX_DOC_PERSONALIZE_BCS~PERSONALIZE_PDF_DOC_PDFIF
    ls_output_options = is_outputparams.
      IF NOT ls_output_options-preview IS INITIAL.
        ls_output_options-noprint = ' ' .    " Allow printing
       ENDIF.

    Hi Venkat,
Sorry for delay in reply and thanks for helping me out on this issue. We have worked out the ADS configuration issues, set up master data for printer, set up .xdc files for printer etc. and are now able to display the forms and able to 'print preview' the forms.
However, when I print preview the form, the print icon is grayed out. I am not able to print the form. Can you please advise what am I missing?
    Thanks

  • C drive problems with P305-S8920

Okay guys, I'm back.  The old thread has been locked so I'm starting a new one.  I got the recovery discs and ran them.  I moved or recreated the folders I needed onto the D drive.  I followed TO THE LETTER the instructions given me by Techman, cut and pasted below.
"Well, you want to put all your programs and data on drive D:, which is bigger.
As for your programs, you can either manually force the program to install on drive D:, (which is what I do) or you can change the default.   Changing the default is a little trickier but once you do it you are done.  See more here - http://en.kioskea.net/faq/sujet-1328-change-the-default-installation-folder-c-program-files
Your data is things like music, or files you save.  You can either manually select the D drive each time, or in many programs you can set a default.  Additionally just like above you can change the Windows default.  It is tricky, but do it once and be done - http://www.lockergnome.com/windows/2006/12/08/change-the-location-of-the-documents-folder-in-vista/
One more thing I would suggest, for better performance and to make the drive last longer, I would move the swap file to the D drive.  See how here - http://www.pctipguys.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=34&Itemid=36
The advantage to all this is if the D drive crashes, you will still be able to boot Windows and do some things.  Also the C drive in your computer is solid state, it doesn't have moving parts.  That means it can potentially last longer.  In a way the C drive is stronger and can take more abuse since it doesn't have moving parts and doesn't produce gyroscopic forces.
BTW, I don't think I have contradicted Jerry.  I think he gives very good advice.  In fact he might step in and give you better instructions then I did to change the defaults.   I should also mention I don't think I am contradicting Defender or Jim either.  They also might step back in and offer tips or tricks I have missed.
Also I should mention that backing up important files on both hard drives is why I like having more then one hard drive.   If one hard drive fails, then you can still get it off the other.  You know backing up is important, having two hard drives makes it easier.

Now the pathways are wrong for all the programs in the  "programs" menu coming out of the Start button except for the programs I've loaded.  My CD/DVD player isn't recognised and music folders won't play because the media player is on C and it looks on D for the player.  I had to change the pathway for the shortcut to the"Create Resore" program and this seems to be the case with most if not all the programs installed on this computer from Toshiba.
This is the beginning of my laundry list for configuring this laptop,
Here is the link to the thread from a couple weeks ago...,

The two different registry entries are for 32 bit and 64 bit programs.  The 32 bit programs would go in the x86 folder.
I think based on the previous issue, the simplest thing to do is just remember when you install a program to put it on the D: drive  instead of the C: drive.  This is what I do.  It is only an issue when you are installing a program, which I assume after your system set up you won't be doing very often.
To answer your latest question, don't worry.  64 Gig is a big space.  It wasn't that long ago that was the biggest hard drive a notebook computer could have. So the ones that have to go on Drive C: let them go there.  Just try to put all that you can on the D: drive.  Also even if a program installs to the C: drive, that doesn't mean you have to put the data on the same drive.  Usually each program keeps track of where you want it to store it's data.  For example if you create a Microsoft word document, just save it on the D: drive.
And I still recomend that you put the most important data on both hard drives.  That way if a drive fails, the data is still on the other drive. Drives don't last forever, kind of like an engine in a car, but hopefully you won't see a problem for many years to come.

    Hi,
Its a problem with the form. Most probably Layout problem. You might have touched the template or the table details due to which this can happen.
Try executing the Function module related to the form. And see it will give an exception.

  • Inability to restore apps to new iphone 5s from encrypted backup

Hi, thanks for any advice. I recently upgraded to iphone 5s following significant slowown of iphone 4 which until the ios 7 update was a perfectly usable device. I am now simply unable to fully restore a brand new iphone 5s from a full encrypted iphone 4 backup using itunes. I have followed to letter the instructions on apple's website.
The restore process runs through but only restores text messages, contacts and photos. None of the over 20 other apps are showing up on the new iphone 5s. Perhaps I am misreading what itunes can backup and restore. I would appretiate any suggestions. Thanks.

Can you access other apps? Can you acess the internet? Can you access applications that use internet besides facebook?
If answer is yes to all of these; contact Facebook.

  • Generate CF (Customs Form) 7501 - Entry Summary

    Hello Folks,
We use F8 (Proforma Invoice) to trigger CF 7525 V - Shippers Export Declaration. If the scenario involves implementation of SAP GTS Customs scenario, we transfer F8 and this is independent of we transferring Sales Order or Outbound Delivery Note to SAP GTS. My question is the following.
    - Import scenario - SAP GTS 7.2
    - Import Documentation after Good Receipt
    - Generate CF 7501 - Entry Summary in GTS
    - No Inbound Delivery created in SAP (PO followed by a GR)
    - Do we still need Inbound Delivery even though we tranfer Good Receipt/Material Document to SAP GTS
    - Can we use G/R to trigger creation of the Import Docs which was created with Ref. to a PO
I am sure someone must have had come across a similar challenge in their assignment. I will be glad if someone can throw some light on this scenario. All SAP Documents insist that the Material Document is created with Ref. to the Inbound Delivery.
    Thanks folks.

  • Incorrect file name within folder

I have saved a series of Captivate v4 projects in a folder. I have saved the projects with their relevant names. I have updated the project info details on each project to correctly reflect the name of the project chapter etc.
Can anyone explain why then, when I place my mouse pointer over any of the projects in the folder, for example "CBT Ops Aware KN Login v2_4 Ch6", the pop up "info" window shows the title "v2 KN LoginBooking Sea with OL-C-CBT...." ? This is the name of another project I created, but back in Feb 2010 !.
Where is this "old" file name coming from and why is is attached to an unrelated project ?
    NEL

I followed (to the letter) your instructions and it did not fix the issue.
However, after having tried your suggestion, I did a right click on the project, and in Properties/Summary I can see the "incorrect file name:
I might have copied and then edited the new project titled "CBT Ops Aware..." from an old project titled "v2 KN Login..." as displayed now in the Summary Title panel, so maybe this is where it all stems from.
Whilst this is not a show stopper, any ideas why the new project has not overwritten the old project name in the properties summary panel ?
Could it have other knock-on effects ?

  • Updated X3-02 Firmware to 5.65 - now all settings,...

I updated the firmware on my X3-02 following to the letter the instructions as supplied on the website and through Ovi PC Suite. Now everytime I switch off my phone any settings I've made are lost. This includes everything from time and date through to shortcuts specified in the "Go To" drop down menu.
Also now I cannot apply any themes, it doesn't know what kind of files are on the handset. Loads of applications have been lost. It no longer supports chat, facebook etc. In other words it's pretty buggered. Luckily it still makes and receives calls and SMS.
I made a backup before I did the upgrade, but if I restore the handset from that backup all it gives me is the same problems with all my original files, contacts etc.
And if I try to update the firmware to Version 6 through PC OVI Suite it tells me that there are no updates available and that beingt 5.65 is up to date. Same problem with stand alone OVI software updater.
An if I try to update by going through the menu on the handset, I cannot enter details for OVI to make a connection.
It's really frustrating to say the least. Any body out there "NOKIA" HINT HINT. got any suggestions.
It's on Orange UK network PAYG.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

For some reason that I cannot explain I've been able to fix my mobile.
Even with the latest version of the desktop OVI Manager installed it still did not recognise that there was a newer firmware available for my phone. Well that was until early this morning.
For some unexplained reason, I let me make it clear that I had done nothing different or installed anything new on either my phone or laptop (except for Google Chrome Windows XP). When I clicked on the update icon in the tool bar, with my phone connected, it finally recognised there was a newer firmware available.
All was looking good, except that when I clicked on 'Install' and tried to create a backup for restoring data, it would not for love or money create a restore image. So I made sure I had everything duplicated from both the phone and memory card and went ahead and updated without creating the restore/backup image first.
It successfully loaded the newer firmware and for some reason only known to the gods restored my phone to the pre-problematic state, including all of my unknown file types, paid for applications (e.g. Shazam) and has made my life all Nokia happy again.
I've since redownloaded my themes and other applications etc that I'd deleted in frustration trying to fix the phone. And to my surprise all the missing items (e.g. alert tone, ringtones etc) have magically reappeared in my menus.
I'm still baffled as to why after six months of frustration trying to get this sorted that this morning all of a sudden it decided to play ball.
My X3-02 now displays in the Software Details screen: Firmware C 0.6.00, 28-03-11, RM-639.
So now I have the iPhone swipe screen unlock functionality amongst other tweaks.
    Thanks
    Mikee
