Utility Window Pane is Missing in Motion 4
I am a new user of Motion.I was getting familar with Motion 4. I belive I clicked on the little Red dot which closes the panes on the file browser window which is usally situated on the far left of the screen. I say usually because I have never seen it again. I went to the view tab and window tab. I clicked on everthing that can be clicked. Nothing. The pane is gone as gone can be. All the F buttons. The thing is gone.
⌘1 will show/hide File Browser Window or from Motion Menu/Window select File Browser. If those solutions don't work then try deleting the Motion preference file.

Motion won't open new project, won't open utility window in old project

Office 2010 : PDF Maker Pane is missing in ribbon
Hi,
After upgrading from MICROSOFT Office 2007 to 2010, I notice that PDF Maker is missing in Office Ribbon.
I tried Repairing & Reinstalling ADOBE Acrobat 9.0 (+ Update to 9.3.2) but still the same problem.
Another try :
Fresh install of Windows XP SP3 + Office 2010 Pro + Acrobat 9.0 + Acrobat Update to 9.2.0 + Acrobat Update to 9.3.2

COM Addin is active but PDF Maker Pane is missing in Office 2010 Ribbon.
I tried soluce in article 330984 (kb) but without success.
... so is Acrobat PDF Maker Addin is compatible with Office 2010 Pro (Word, Excel, ...) ?
Is there a fix or should I wait next patch from ADOBE ?

I've updated my Acrobat to 9.3.4, rebooted my system, I see the Add-in under Options> Add-ins> Active Application Add-ins and can choose it under COM Add-Ins. BUT it does NOT show up in the Menu Bar of the Program Word, Excel, etc. No Tab, No nothing. Its still doesn't work.
Does anyone have a trick to reactivate it somehow?
AND by the way, YOU CAN select Save-As and Select PDF and it works JUST fine! I just did it.
Also, as fix for all of you that say we are whining about not having the PDF maker "QUICK" links in the menu-bar, YES you can click File>Print and choose PDF to print to as well.
It would just be nice to have a ONE-CLICK option back.

SO, to RECAP... you can do the Two or Three Click options of PRINT and choose PDF or you can do SAVE-AS and choose PDF.... BUT again it would be nice to have a working ONE Click option. Thank you again -
Problem with Motion 5 "Media Missing in Motion File"

When I try to preview templates in the Project Browser, only the ones under Compositions will play in the preview window. Anything else either the screen stays black or I get the “Media Missing in Motion File” It appears that somehow the clip I’m trying to preview has lost the path to the preview file. All these templates are stored in the Movies/Motion Templates/Final Cut Effects or Final Cut Generator folders.
Any suggestions?Your own custom and thrid party templates do not normally have the video clip embedded to do the preview. This is normal.

The review pane is missing at the right hand side when I open a PDF in browser. I am using acrobat pro 11 and it is not even providing the option to prevent the PDF to open in browser.
Also, the review pane appears when I launch the PDF in acrobat directly.
Please could you help resolving this issue?How is Acrobat 8 not fully Windows 7 compatible? I see discussions on this Adobe Community saying how Acrobat 8 does work on Windows 7 and with 64-bit. It appears that if Acrobat 8 is updated to the latest version, then this should fix AA8-Win7 issues. And I am at the latest AA8 version, 8.3.1.
And how are Acrobat 8 and Reader XI are not compatible? I have always had Acrobat and Reader installed on the same PC, without ever having any issues. And Adobe allows the installation of one after the other. So apparently Adobe allows them both to exist together. If they are incompatible, then why would Adobe allow them to exist together?
Anyway, I did uninstall the FileOpen Plug-in and the Reader XI, then reinstalled the FileOpen Plug-in. So now Reader is not installed and only Acrobat 8 is installed. I then tried to load the PDF file, but I still get the Acrobat 8 error described above. -

Adding disc image to Disc Utility window?
Hi there,
I'm trying to burn DVD masters from previously created .cdr files. For some odd reason only a couple of the .cdr s are visible in the Disc Utility window. I've tried dragging the ones I need from a Finder window into the DU window where the others are, according to instructions...
If the disk image you want to use doesn't appear in the list, drag its icon to the Disk Utility window.
... but the images just bounce out. I can drag the ones that are in the DU window out and that throws them away, but can't add it back in then again. Huh?
What am I missing?Thanks. That seems to work! A bit different than what the Help File instructs you to do though. The strange thing is that some of the .cdr s can in actual fact be dragged in but others cannot. Even thought they were all created by DU and some even during the same work session.

On my Macbook Pro the disk utility window does not fully load. Much of the window information is missing and the program is not working at all. If I hide it and unhide it, it becomes a blank white window. It is the only program that does this.

Quit Disk Utility, and navigate to your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Prefernces folder where you will find the com.apple.DiskUtility.plist file. Drag that file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check Disk Utility for normal behavior.

Where has my airport utility window gone? When I double click on the airport utility icon all I get is a picture of a globe and a base station with no further options available to modify my airport extreme.

Let's start over again.
Open AirPort Utility on your Mac
Are you asked for a password at this point? If yes, enter the base station or device password that you used when you originally set up the AirPort router. Depending when you did this originally, you might have been given an option to use the same password as the wireless network. If you were not, then you have a separate password for the base station.
You need that password to be able to access the settings for the AirPort router in AirPort Utility.
If you see a window listing basic information, click Edit in the upper right corner of the window.
If you are asked for a password, you must enter the device password or base station password that you established when you first set up the AirPort router as explained above.
If you forgot the password, a Soft Reset will allow you to go in and reset the base station password. Might be a good idea to write down that password.
If you are still stuck, then the only option that you have at this point is to perform a Hard Reset to return the settings to factory defaults and then set up the AirPort router again.
If you prefer, you can also do a Factory Default Reset. It's the same as a Hard Reset except for the timing of holding in the reset button. -

your MacBook Pro has booted into its Recovery mode. From the OS X Utilities menu, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does it get to the login screen now? -
"This window only" option missing from Show View Options

When trying to create a background image for a disk image for distribution, the radio button for "This window only" is missing. I read instructions on the web on how to set the background image, make the file invisible in the Terminal. It will work on the 10.6 system that created it, but will not show on another computer. (Mac OS does not matter)
I eventually had to do this on an old system with Tiger 10.4 . There when looking at View Options, the radio button is there labeled 'This window only' . I created the disk image and voila' it will keep the background image for any other computer.
So my question is - Is there a keyboard combination to set this? This option is missing in 10.5 and 10.6 . This is really frustrating.
TIAI'm experiencing the same problem. However, I don't think it's defaulting to an arbitrary colour. Rather, it seems to be defaulting to the exact opposite colour (than whatever colour was selected) in the spectrum.
For example, if I set the background colour of a folder to red, it instead defaults to green (and vice versa). This is consistent for all opposing colours.

You probably need to either uninstall and reinstall itunes or to download the apple application support by itself

you could also use 7zip to extract the individual installer for apple application support from the itunes setup file http://www.7-zip.org -
Placing a hatched or window pane effect on a photo in the album
Iam in the middle of making an album as a gift, one of the photos was placed with a window pane effect on it, I know how to remove it, but would like to place that same effect on a different photo in the album. Unable to find out how to do it. Tjank you for your help.
What version of iPhoto? I assume you mean you're making a book, right? Can you take a screenshot of the photo with the effect and post it (use the camera button in the tool bar). What does the photo look like back in its Event? I don't know what you mean by a window effect but it might be one of the Effects options in the Edit mode
Select the photo in it's Event and use the Photos ➙ Revert to Original menu option if it's not grayed out. That will remove any edit done in iPhoto.

Even after turning ON Reduce motion the icons and the windows and the apps zoom motion in and out is still giving me a lot of head ache and dizziness and motion sickness... Please fix it!!
hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo
