UVERSE address verification

I have been in my area of the neighborhood for a year. I was one of the first people to move in. I watched at&t bury the fiber optic lines on my street. I had the person who connects the lines to the boxes outside the house knock on my door and tell me," you can now get uverse. Give it a week or so until your address gets recorded but then Just give them a call and you should be good to go." Well fast forward a year and phone calls and emails and eligibility searches and still not available in their database. A few months after I moved in my neighbor managed to get uverse bc I saw the van outside tried home. A few weeks ago I saw a technician on my street and stopped him and asked him if I could get uverse and he said absolutely. He told me what my neighbor had to do to get it and he told me to call at&t.. Give them his company ID and phone number and they'll have to call him to verify I can get service and I should be able to get it. Well after that conversation.. I have made 4 phone calls and emailed twice and still am talking to people who can't send me to the right person. I saw someone possibly had some luck by posting here so I'm hoping I'll get lucky as well. The house literally two houses up and the house on the next street up in direct line with my house is eligible. The houses coming into my neighborhood have it according to the map but the map on at&t doesn't even show a road to the house that it says is eligible on the street up so my street definitely isn't on there. Someone help!!! Hopefully I'll be helped like the post I found who was In the exact same shoes as me. Fingers crossed!

And I just wanted to be sure and let everyone know my outcome and experience. If anyone is having issues with getting an address validated that you KNOW can get service THIS is the way to go!! Going on a year that I have been checking and making phone calls and getting told I'd get a response and get a phone call back only to receive neither. Or being told things I already know and have been told what feel like a hundred times over or feeling like anyone on the other end is even knowledgeable or even understood what I was telling them. Between the phone calls, googling, address validation searches, map searches, and emails I have literally spent HOURS over the past year trying to get someone to help me and get a known issue resolved. Basically all anyone had to do was take the information I had and give it to a person who could create a positive outcome but I feel like the phone customer service has this script and beyond that is just lacking knowledge and experience on what they need to do. This route got my issue addressed and my address validated in just a few weeks. I got actual multiple responses back and follow ups. It was amazing. Even if they weren't able to get it done I at least felt like someone understood what I was trying to tell them and that was huge in itself. So anyone who needs to get a known address validated please contact the person mentioned to me following my original post. It actually worked!! Thank you!!

  • Address verification in Oracle Enterprise Data Quality

    Hi,
I am new to OEDQ. I have a need to do the address verification using OEDQ.  Please guide me how to proceed with the process.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regard,
    Ida.

    Hello Ida,
Address Verification in OEDQ is comprised of the Address Verification API, and a Global Knowledge Repository (also known as Postal Address File).
A subscription to a Postal Address File must be purchased directly from a provider, and Oracle's prefered partner for this is Loqate, (http://www.loqate.com/).
See explanation here for details: https://blogs.oracle.com/mdm/entry/enterprise_data_quality_integration_ready
The Address Verification and Standardization service uses EDQ Address Verification (an OEM of Loqate software) to verify and clean addresses in either real-time or batch. The Address Verification processor is wrapped in an EDQ process – this adds significant capabilities over calling the underlying Address Verification API directly, specifically:
Country-specific thresholds to determine when to accept the verification result (and therefore to change the input address) based on the confidence level of the API
Optimization of address verification by pre-standardizing data where required
Formatting of output addresses into the input address fields normally used by applications
Adding descriptions of the address verification and geocoding return codes
The process can then be used to provide real-time and batch address cleansing in any application; such as a simple web page calling address cleaning and geocoding as part of a check on individual data.
The Installation and Configuration of Addess Verification with OEDQ and Loqate is documented here: Installing and Configuring Address Verification
    Best regards,
    Oliver.

  • Delivery Address Verification by cyberSource

    hi
I am looking to validate the shipping address only.
how does the valdiation happen through cyberSource's Delivery Address Verification?
Are only the house number and street name validated against the zip code? or Valdiation occurs also for city+state+zip combination?

CyberSource's Delivery Address Verification uses postal address files obtained from postal administrations around the world, using which it validates and standardizes addresses. You may refer following FAQs which probably can address your query:

  • Batch Address Verification and Standardization using AV

    Hi,
We would like to use EDQ AV for batch address verification and standardization. Can you please let us know the high level steps for this since i could only see the job for real time address verification and standardization.
Can we use the address clean process used for real time address verification and standardization for batch as well. Do we have to use staged tables like how batch entity/contact deduplication uses or do we directly connect to the address table in siebel schema using a data source and do batch address verification and standardization by using the address clean process given for real time address verification and standardization in a new job.
    Thanks,
    Sukhesh

    Hi,
When EDQ is attached to Siebel, batch address verification and cleansing tasks are instigated via Siebel's DQ Manager. You can set up a job template using the instructions in Section 5 of this document:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/oedq/documentation/cdssiebel-1688412.pdf
In the case of Siebel, 'batch' jobs in fact simply call the web service with however many records you scope into the batch run.
For other purposes - i.e. when you want to run the EDQ-CDS Address Clean process on other sources of data, you simply need to bind in the source and target from/to the AddressClean data interface in EDQ and set up a job with these mappings. You can run this at the same time as running real-time address cleaning, provided you use a different Run Label.

  • Address verification in OEDQ

    Hi,
I am new to OEDQ.Address verification in OEDQ required loqate software. So i installed and configured Loqate.
Now on running the address verification with data the output results has av.AccuracyCode,av.MatchScore,av.Address and av.CountryName as blank and also the av.ResultCount has output 0.What should be done to inorder to get the results. Please provide a solution for this.
    Regards,
    Sreemahalakshmi

    Hi,
This is the behaviour if AV is either not installed or not linked correctly to EDQ via the av.properties file.
There will be an error loading 'OAV' in the EDQ log (main0.log) at server startup. Check this error against the troubleshooting section of the EDQ AV Installation Guide.

  • SLcM and Experian Data Quality (QAS) Pro address verification service

Does SLcM integrate with Experian Data Quality (QAS) Pro address verification service?  Is so how and is there any documentation on it?  Also are there any institutions that are doing it and are available as a reference?
    Thanks,

    Stan,
I don't think there is any documentation out there. But it can be integrated using Web-service, Interfaces and Scripting. We integrated SLcM with QAS for one of our client.

  • EDQ Address Verification level mode supported for Siebel CRM

    Hi,
We are in process of implementing Oracle Enterprise Data quality for SIebel CRM Public sector 8.2.2.4 version for our client and are awaiting license. We have few questions on how Address verification process works with Loqate postal files and how the validated address will be updated back in Siebel. I observed in few documentations that the Address verification level can be set to Verify or Match where Verify mode will return only one validated address in response and Match will return multiple close matched address along with the match score as a response.
Can you please let me know if Siebel with EDQ AV supports both Verify and Match mode? Any information around this question or the document which talks more about this feature is highly appreciated. Thanks for the assistance
    Regards
    Siva Sonti

    Hi,
I cannot comment on the UCM roadmap since it is not under my remit.
    Re. your questions:
    1. EDQ returns a fair amount of information back in the response and any of the attributes can be returned to Siebel and displayed by customizing the mappings to the service. This includes a textual description of the verification code and an indication based on the verification level and the configured thresholds that shows whether or not the address was corrected/enhanced (verified = Y/N). See example below.
    2. Yes, if you require a V (Verified) result with a minimum level of 4, you will be correcting addresses if they are verified to premise or subpremise level. If a subpremise was input but could not be verified you would get a P4 (partially verified to premise level) result, or if there were several possible subpremises that it fuzzy matched, you would get an A4 (ambiguously verified to level 4) result, which you could choose to accept or suppress based on the 'allowedverificationresultcodes' threshold.

  • Address verification and forcing a new BDOC

We're using a 3 rd party to do address verification on our existing and new customers.   This is what we currently have.  A customer is created on the ECC side, goes over to CRM, where the 3rd party is called.  Address (zip +4) etc...  gets updated, but another BDOC is not created, so the corrected address never goes back to ECC.  Is there a flag or something  somewhere that I can set from the GEOCODE Method GEOCODE_ONE_ADDRESS?
    Thanks,
    Cathy

    Shourav,
Thanks for your reply.  The 3rd party  verification occurs during BP create on the CRM side.  So I think that the problem is, it doesn't know that the address has been updated, because the BP has not been saved yet.
BUPA_MWX_BDOC_CREATE_MAIN does not get called at all.  That's pretty much what I need to find out.  How and where to trigger the created of the MBDOC.
So once again, the scenario is that the customer gets created on the ECC side and goes over to CRM.  In CRM, the address verification is called and updates corrected_addresses and creates the BP on CRM with the extended zip code etc..  But a BDOC is not triggered.  I need to trigger it at save time some how.
    thanks,
    Cat

  • Won't go past Address Verification page

I go to an album and click "buy album," then put in my password, click buy, put in my password again, click billing info, click done, and I end up on the Address Verification page. I choose my county and click done, but nothing happens

My suggestion then would be to go appleid.apple.com and click on Manage your Account and then try filling in your address information there.
If this doesn't work, I would contact apple directly (http://www.apple.com/contact/) and then they can probably fill in the information on the backside.

  • Sender email address verification

During my recent DNS server outage (caused by XO DSL suddenly turning on filtering of port 53), I noticed something quite interesting with .Mac server and I am wondering if there is a way for Tiger server users to EASILY implement the same feature to reduce the inflow of spam?
When my DNS stopped, my .Mac account STOPPED accepting email from my work account, essentially saying there was no such account on my work server.
I obviously do understand that the fact that my DNS was not working and my server could not be verified was the reason for this, but it got me thinking....
Is there any easy way to put this sort of incoming email verification process on my OWN Tiger server (work)? i.e. Only accept delivery of incoming email AFTER you verify that the sender email address DOES correspond to a valid email account on the senders host?? - which means no bogus email address or hostnames accepted...
I think this would help cut down on a lot of Spam as these guys often send junkmail via bogus accounts/host names that cannot be replied to.
Any useful information regarding setting this up would be most appreciated
    Thanks in advance - Rohin

My question is ... wouldn't it make sense to check whether sender emails are valid before accepting email server connections.
There's not really any way of doing that, besides, that's not really what you want.
What you want is to ensure that the email comes from the person that it says it comes from. What you'd get is that the email says it comes from a valid email address. This is not the same thing.
Even now, 99% of spam emails are sent from valid email addresses - it's trivial to put any email address in the 'from' header.
Knowing that the From address is valid doesn't actually do anything to say that the person in the From header is the one who actually sent the message in the first place.
There are several industry-wide attempts and performing validation at the domain level, which is about as good as it's going to get in the near term. For more information check out Sender Policy Framework which defines (via DNS) which IP addresses are permitted to send email for a particular domain, and DomainKeys which uses digital signatures to validate the email.
Since both models require input from the domain owners, they won't be 100% reliable until all domains opt-in to the schemes. For now it can help validate that an email is from a legitimate domain, but the absence of a SPF or DomainKey doesn't necessarily mean the message is spam.
The only way to verify that the email comes from a valid user is some kind of confirmation - an email comes into your mail system which doesn't recognize the sender, so it holds the mail and sends a message back to the sender saying 'who are you?" and "if this message is legitimate, follow this link to unblock the message". The message is forwarded only after the sender confirms their identity and that the message is legitimate.
This has all kinds of issues, though including latency (it takes longer for messages to get to you), delays (what if the sender sends the message right before they leave on a week's vacation?), and not least the complete lack of support for any kind of automated messages, list, etc. that are sent from non-humans.

  • Address verification problems for itunes

Bank of America is the debit card attached to my iTunes account. Initially it was a US address. I am now in Canada so I changed the address toa Canadian address. When attempting to make an iTunes purchase it asks to verify the mailing address. The address interface is still a US one so therefore I cannot answer the question about which State as Canada has Provinces and they are not part of the selection of options in the verification. So my purchase cannot go through.

I'm suffering from the same problem.
I have to have my iTunes library installed on an external drive and this is where the chaos always starts.
If iTunes is started up and it can't find the drive that has been set in the preferences it seems to default back to My Documents. If you are not saavy to this change and correct it all sorts of things can seem to go wrong.
What iTunes needs is some sort of feature to handle this issue and advise the user that it can't find the library and either correct the problem or give you a temporary solution so you can still use iTunes until you get your external drive plugged back in.
I had all **** break loose with my iTunes and my iPhone last night. Loads of songs were not able to be "Located" even though they are sitting inside of the iTunes directory on the external drive exactly where they are supposed to be!
The only thing I can think to do is to turn off the "Copy files to iTunes Folders when adding" preference and then use "Add Folder..." to iTunes and nominate the iTunes directory on the external drive. This seemed to sort it out without creating duplicates, but I'm not entirely confident I didn't just screw something up.
I did one other thing which really messed me up, too....I deleted my entire library from iTunes (keeping the files) and then re-added the whole folder from my external drive....this however wiped out all my playlists and erased all my ratings. I've spent countless hours "rating" my library so this was a disaster! Fortunately, I was able to recover most of it via one of the older library file backups.
Anyone have suggestions for dealing with these issues efficiently...we need help/advice!
