UVerse, TC, and Switch - how do I link them all up

I've moved to a new house which has a D-Link Gigabit Switch installed with LAN/Ethernet wired to every room. I want to use this functionality to run ethernet to my internet TV. How do I set up the UVerse/2 Wire Modem, the TC and the Gigabit Switch so I can turn off the Uverse wireless modem, use my TC as wireless for my MBP and connect my iMac and TV etc to receive the internet over ethernet connection? What ports do I plug all the ethernet cables into ie WAN, LAN etc?

To only seperate Messages and FaceTimne all you need is email addresses.

You can also:
Create a NEW account/ID for themusing these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on themiPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want them to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

And lazy as I haven't worried about any of this until the iPad kept crashing all the time and the iPhone wanted me to update but I am scared to.
Jedi masters, any idea where to start?

When you say sync'd to email do you mean you have multiple AppleIDs you have used for these devices?
You don't "sync to email".

For the iPad, iMac you need to create verifyible e-mail addresses created with one of the providers such as Yahoo, Gmail,etc. For the iphone you should use it's phone number, but an e-mail could be used for it too. If you want to associate these e-mail addresses with a single ID, I'm including a link to give you info about how you can do that. Read it carefully, as it can be a bit confusing.

Do you at least have the serial-numbers for them? Did you buy discs or download them? What versions, specifically?
If you purchased them as downloads from Adobe, they may be available under My Purchases (or whatever it is called, exactly) if you log into www.adobe.com and check the My Account area, then look at the products you’ve purchased.

I have multiple chat clients and want to link them all together.

I have iMessage, Yahoo!, Gtalk, Facebook, and Skype. I want a good client to link them all together. I also want the abiity to add other IM services to the client at a later time if I need to.

Did you sync to a different computer than the one you had previously synced to? If so you need to sync to the original computer. Otherwise you can just restore the last backup you made on the previous sync.

Photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days. After that, they are removed from your photo stream but not from any device that has already received them. Chances are, the 44 photos are from the last 30 days; the others are not there because they are no longer in your photo stream.
If the photos were in your camera roll when you last backed up, restoring to the backup should recover them. However, you will have to restore to the entire backup to do so. If they weren't backed up or imported to your computer, there is no way to recover them now.
To be sure your photos are saved, regularly import them from the camera roll to your computer as outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

Any apps you've had installed on your iPad can be downloaded again.
Go to App Store on your iPad and select 'Updates' and then tap on Purchased. You can then view all purchases made on the iPad or purchases made on other devices by selecting the 'Not on this iPad' tab.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

If you had a back-up created you can simply restore from your back-up.
