UWL configuration for Federated Portals logging errors in defaultTrace

Hi everyone,
I've just finished configuring UWL for Guided Procedures on federated portals using the help provided in the links below:
[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/904ca240-63bc-2a10-1c98-de81b6a045bf|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/904ca240-63bc-2a10-1c98-de81b6a045bf]
[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/43/ef06a7860c7061e10000000a1553f6/content.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/43/ef06a7860c7061e10000000a1553f6/content.htm]
Everything is running very well except for the fact that exceptions for the GPsystem I created are showing up in the defaultTrace log. The message repeats itself several times:
03/12/2009 , 15:56:12:234 , GPsystem    | ACCESS.ERROR        | null     |           | Permission=(com.sap.caf.eu.gp.model.permission.GPPermission GP.GET.WORKITEMS) , Error , /System/Security/Audit , com.sap.security.core.util.SecurityAudit , sap.com/cafeugpmodeleap , GPsystem
These log traces repeat themselves so many times that they seem to be causing an unnecessary load on the system. Other that that, both the Guided Procedure and UWL are working perfectly. Does anyone have any idea as to why this might be happening?
Thank you very much,
Luis

Hi
UWL Configuration is not  proper so only this happening.

    Hi,
    I have configured FPN with EP and BI, both are on same SP level.The connection and the producer registration is successful.

    Hi Shanti,
    Thank for reply.
    I have checked with same user in both consumer & producer portals, In that case its working fine.
    If you checked with other consumer users its asking password.
    For this I have tried usermapping with producer id under goto personolize -->remote iviews --> select default alias -->enter id/pwd and save  for other consumer id.
    How we manage  for all consumer users, is there any option to mapping to all users at time.
    really appriciate your inputs.

  • Test IVIEWS in Consumers for Federal Portal.

    Hi All,
    This is the first time iam establishing Federal Portal and i have done with all the configuration steps ie
    Setting Truct , SSO , creating and registering of Consumers and Producers etc.
    Now i want to check it by creating some iviews etc.. But i dont know and not getting how to create it and test.
    Could any body telthe steps to create I views in Consumers and how to test SSO and how to use COnsumers.
    Points wil be assigned.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Akash..

    Hi Akash,
    Steps you need to take:
    - Setup trust between consumer and producer portal by exchanging certificates and making Visual Administrator entries in the Security Provider Service.
    - Create producer.
    - Register producer.
    See this document for good descriptions of steps to take:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70191d1e-2bd1-2a10-d9b7-ba19500da527
    Also for remote role assignment in NW 7.0 SP15 you need to add some UME Actions to a role that is aasigned to pcd_service user. See following link for the material:

  • LDAP configuration for HR Portal in dual stack EHP4 - Best Practice

    Hi Experts,
               Hello Experts,
    We are trying to use the JAVA Stack of ECC server for HR Portal i.e Dual Stack and have applied EHP4 package for ESS/MSS Appraisal. When we are trying to configure the LDAP ADS datasource through portal , we are not able to do it since ABAP datasorce file is available by default.This we are doing for HR(ESS/MSS) Portal.This is for access to the object data stored in the Active Directory.
    We have already checked note 718383.
    Also, for the scenatrio ,LDAP <-> ABAP <-> J2EE
    We have already checked sap help doc.here:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/e6/0bfa3823e5d841e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
    What should now be the best practice to follow for configuration ? Should we go for separate Portal server or is it possible to use Java Stack of ECC server for configuration ?
    Also, LDAP <-> ABAP <-> J2EE scenario please suggest if it a best practice and we can follow the same .What are the limitations , risks and issues ? Please suggest if this has been implemented and running well in any live project .
    Are the suggestions applicable for load balanced production servers as well?
    Thanks,
    Rakesh

    Hi,
    the UME datasource must remain ABAP but you can sync the users between ABAP and LDAP using the LDAP connector:

  • Configurations for extracting portal activity data from netweaver portal.

    Hi,
    I need to fetch  the portal activity data from the portal into Solution Manager. I would like to know the configurations on the portal that will be needed in order to extract the portal actvity data . How will i proceed extracting the portal activity data?
    thanks and regards,
    Divya.

    Hi Divya,
    We can not say that Early Watch Alerts is same as the  the portal activity report.
    Its a diagnosis service, for the solution monitoring of SAP and non-SAP systems
    in the SAP Solution Manager. Its gives you the complete details of your System.
    If we talk about Portal then you can get the details like :
    1. Java Heap details
    2. Memory Uses
    3.Portal Objects access details (Like Activity report )
    4.Server Nodes details
       and many more things.................
    The Underlying concept is to ensure smooth operation of individual SAP Systems
    by keeping you informed of their status and allowing you to take action,
    before severe technical problem occurs.

    HI,
    I want to configure UWL in portal so that I can see/approve  leave in UWL in MSS. Please let me know how to configure the same.
    When I am trying to configure the UWL in system admin> system configuration> Univerasal Worklist Administration, under that i clicked in new button to add my R/3 system, in that popup i mentioned my system alias name of R/3 system and connector as Webflow connector and remaining field i kept as empty and i clicked on save button after that when i click on Register button OR Register item type for all system than I am getting the following error, please let me know what the  issue is ?

    SandBoxCLNT300 is the system alias of system I have created for R/3. in that system object I am using logon ticket.

    Connection failed. Make sure that Single Sign-On is configured correctly
    Also the transaction iview i created using this system object is coming absolutely proper, than why Test Connection with Connector is failing , please let me know , might be UWL issue is related to this one..

  • Federated Portals: SOAP Error

    hi experts,
    I have done all the required configurations as mentioned in many posts and on hellp.sap.com (viz setting up sso, trust relations, the visual admin configs and permissions on portal obejcts). however when i try to view the content from the remote system the following error gets logged in the trace file of the consumer
    The user authentication is not correct to access to the portal service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.Bridge or the service eas not found
    I am trying to acheive federationb between EP7 and BI 7.0 both on SP 12.

    > other ideas.
    Hi,
    WSDL has no role in the process after the registration took place.
    Please make sure that the end user exists on the producer portal and that you logged in at least once before invoking federated scenario.

  • Guest User permission for Federated portal setup

    Hello SDNers,
    I am trying to setup Federation between two portals. Both the portals are in the same domain and use the same LDAP user data source.
    Both the portals are on NW 7.0 EHP1 SP 05.
    I am following the online help and few other links. I have followed all the steps explained.
    SSO and trust between portals is properly setup and is validated.
    The point where I am stuck at is with the permissions on the producer portal for the "Guest" user.
    If I assign Super Admin role to the Guest user in the producer portal, every thing works fine. I can see the roles in Consumer portal for Remote Role Assignment and also I am able to do Remote Delta Links.
    However, this is not anticipated. (We cannot assign super admin to Guest user)
    If I remove the Super Admin role to the Guest user in the producer portal, every thing breaks - I cannot see the remote roles from Consumer portal, I cannot see any content under Netweaver Content Producers for the given producer.
    I have given "Everyone" group - read access to everything below "Portal Content" folder both on producer and consumer portals.
    PCD_Service user is assigned the actions Remote_Producer_Write_Access and Remote_Producer_Read_Access in both portals.
    Log says:
    Call failed
    EXCEPTION
    SOAP Fault Exception (Actor SAPEPP) com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.soap.exception.SoapFaultHandler] : The User Authentification is not correct to access to the Portal Service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.Bridge or the service was not found.
    My Questions are:
    1. What does Guest user have to do in the whole process - Where it is exactly used ?
    2. How can I give Guest user the required permissions (especially to portal service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.Bridge) ?
    Please suggest.

  • UWL configuration for decision step

    Hi!
    We are using the decision task for approving trips (TS200000118).
    We've to add a decision note as described in this forum (UserDecisionNote).
    How do I get the standard xml for this step to modify this.
    I just found the entries in the uwl.webflow:
    <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.decision.TS20000118.mandant086" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="viewDetail" executionMode="default">
          <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="mandant086" externalType="TS20000118" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
    </ItemType>
    Kind regards and thanks for any hints!
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    As you are already aware of UWL supports a property called UserDecisionNote for the UserDecisionHandler action and can configure the XML file of UWL for this.
    For example:-
    Can add the following in UWL xml configuration file. And then upload the xml file.
    <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.decision.TS90100366.SAP_ECC_FINANCIALS.SAP_ECC_Financials" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="viewDetail" executionMode="default">
    <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="mandant086" externalType="TS20000118" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
    <Actions>
    <Action name="send" groupAction="yes" handler="UserDecisionHandler" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="no">
    <Properties>
    <Property name="decisionKey" value="1"/>
    </Properties>
    <Descriptions default="send"/>
    </Action>
    <Action name="reject" groupAction="yes" handler="UserDecisionHandler" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="no">
    <Properties>
    <Property name="UserDecisionNote" value="true"/>
    <Property name="decisionKey" value="2"/>
    </Properties>

  • UWL Configuration for KM Resources

    We are creating XML documents in KM folders using custom PAR file based iViews.  These XML documents do go through approval process.  When a notification received by an approver in UWL, the link the task is opening XML document in browser.  Instead, our requirement is to open this document using another custom iView (that reads this XML document and displays the data in formatted HTML fields).
    Please note that each KM folder stores different type of XML content.  Thus, all documents in the same folder should be opened with one specific iView.
    Is it possible do the above using standard configuration?  If so, please advice on how we do it?  Any documentation, guidance, info would be highly helpful.
    If configuration task is not possible, is it possible to do the same by any custom coding?  Please advise with additional info.
    Thanks

  • XML UWL Configuration for custom structure in container

    Dear UWL experts,
    We are adding a structure type: ZPRC_UWL_CUSTOM with 10 fields to a Workflow Task container and call it V_UWL_CUSTOM
    Inside the structure, there are several fields called, for example:
    V_OBJECT
    V_SUBJECT
    V_AUTHOR
    We have trying hard, but we cannot find a way to make reference to the V_OBJECT, V_SUBJECT and V_AUTHOR fields from the UWL XML.
    We tried things like:
    <CustomAttributeSource id="WEBFLOW_CONTAINER" objectIdHolder="externalId" objectType="WebflowContainer" cacheValidity="final">
              <Attribute name="V_UWL_CUSTOM" type="string" displayName="V_UWL_CUSTOM"/>

    Hi,
    I only can assume how things are in your system, but I hope that you have a container element V_UWL_CUSTOM in your workflow container. Then you are binding it to the task container V_UWL_CUSTOM, right?
    If the above is correct, then you need to create individual elements in your task container:
    V_OBJECT
    V_SUBJECT
    V_AUTHOR, etc.
    Do binding from workflow container to the task container:
    V_UWL_CUSTOM.V_OBJECT -> V_OBJECT
    V_UWL_CUSTOM.V_SUBJECT -> V_SUBJECT
    V_UWL_CUSTOM.V_AUTHOR -> V_AUTHOR
    Etc.
    If you cannot do the binding from workflow container (=you don't have the element in WF container because of some strange reason), then things get a bit more interesting...

  • UWL in Federated Portal Network

    Hi All,
    Can anyone please suggest how UWL works in case of Federated Portal Network? I have a requirement to show the tasks, alerts, notifications from more then one Producer in the same UWL iview on Consumer.
    I followed the steps as mentioned in the SAP help document Running the UWL in the Consumer Portal http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/8084e2e8c9487fe10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm but no luck.
    I would appreciate if anyone can let me know the proper process for doing this or could provide any document for it.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards
    Seema Rane.

    Hi Seema,
    There are two ways to configure UWL on the federated portal:
    1. Run UWL on the Consumer Portal:
    a. Everything must be copied over, including xml files.  Retrieve information directly from the backend.  Use the IviewLauncher Handler. This uses the remote delta link from the producer.
    Have a look here at the help documentation:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/8084e2e8c9487fe10000000a114a6b/content.htm
    2. Run UWL in Producer Portal:
    a. Here the configuration is predefined.
    b. Use remote role assignment or remote delta links
    producer remote delta links should be available as remote delta links on the consumer.
    copy as remote delta links; config is done on the producer
    Have a look here at the help documentation:
    EP7
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/81ab2f3bab6975e10000000a114a6b/content.htm
    (for nw701, 702, 720 search the help documentation accordingly)

  • UWL in federated portal

    Hi,
    Can someone tell me how to configure the UWL on a federated portal? We want a central UWL (uwl of federated portal and the uwl's of the producers). How can this be achieved?
    I already tried the following link  : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwesrce/helpdata/en/45/8084e2e8c9487fe10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
    Thx!
    Regards,
    Jonas

    Hi,
    I don't have any real experience on configuring UWL into the federated portal, but just by knowing the basics and checking the document that you linked, I am pretty sure how it works.
    1) Basically you need to go into the consumer portals and download the relevant XML configuration files (in System Admin -> System Config -> UWL). This should be clear if you are familiar with non-federated portal UWL configuration.
    2) Then basically you must check what all tasks and workflows there are actually in use in your backend/portal system, and find the corresponding XML configuration for them. Basically you should find that which application is launched when you click a task in your UWL. If they are iViews, write them down, since you will need the info in the following steps.
    3) Configure the backend system objects (=similar what you have already in the producers) into the consumer portal. Configure the system objects to be used with UWL (in System Admin -> System Config -> UWL) and register the systems.
    4) Now, if you found out that there are some iViews (step 2) that are used in the XML configuration, you should copy them as remote delta links to the consumer from the producer portal. (Copy the pages/roles also if needed - depending on how everything has been setup).
    5) Now you are ready to try to import the XML configuration files that you found in the producer portals, into the consumer portal. (in System Admin -> System Config -> UWL)
    If all the system objects are found and registered properly in the consumer portal, and all the iViews that are used in the XML configuration files, can be found as remote delta links in the consumer, you should be able to import the XML files and the UWL should be up and running and getting the items from the all producers.
    Sounds easy, but maybe isn't.
    Regards,
    Karri
