Hi Everybody,
Greetings!!!
Please help me out for the undermentioned query.
<b>Query 1</b>: How to send a mail as an notification to the users inbox(MSOutlook Web Access), whenever he receives any task/notifications/alerts etc.,  in his Universal Workilist Control(UWL)?
<b>Query 2:</b> What are the prerequisites required to perform the above mentioned task? Whether groupware integration is required?

1. Navigate to System Administration > System Configuration > Universal Worklist & Workflow > Workflow > Engine.. Set the parameter
Notify Assignees On Task Creation to <i>true</i> and the Notifivation Service to <i>Java Mail</i>
2. Navigate to System Administration > System Configuration > Universal Worklist & Workflow > Workflow > Mail. For SMTP Host enter the SMTP server of your company.

    I would use the universal worklist(UWL) to display SAP workflow items in the portal.
    However, we have also the requirement that the end-user should get an email when a new task (r3 work item) is available.
    I connected the mail and i can send and recieve only when i create task from the UWL in the Portal.
    When i receive r3 work items no mail notification is sent.
    Please what is wrong?
    Had somebody implemented this or any ideas how to do this?

    Hi,
    Its more on to the UWL side to send the alerts for the substitution tasks.
    BPM doesnt have any handle once it hand it over to UWL. You can check the alerts in UWL to send notification to the substitution person so that that person aware of the task.
    Another option may be check what UWL APIs provides so that you can read the substitution person in advance in BPM so that you can model a notification task

    this is possible to do . all u need to do is just to configure the outlook express according to the SAP portal .
    their is a list of steps to be followed .
    1.     From the top-level navigation, choose System Administration ->  System Configuration ->  Knowledge Management ->  Content Management ->  Repository Managers -> Calendar Repository.
    2.     Choose New.
    before this u need to create a transport ..
    thats created as follows.
    Procedure
    1.     From the Portal top-level navigation, choose System Administration ->&#61472;System
    Configuration -> Knowledge Management ->  Collaboration -> Transports -> Exchange Transports.
    2.     From the KM Configuration iView of the navigation panel, choose New.
    3.     Enter values for the Exchange Transport
    4.     Choose OK.

    My requirement is to get the E-mail notification for some one posting feedback (repo service) for particular KM resouurces. I have made all the settings
    Configured the Notificator Service
    Enabled the Mailing Service
    Configured the Email channel and Originator.
    I have enabled Subscription for this KM folder like (/documents/Public Documents/Test Folder). If admin upload any document or files in the above folder.
    I received E-Mail notification alert.
    But for the same resources if any one posting feedback or review i didnt get any E-mail notification
    How to achieve this?

    Hi, THILLAI NATARAJAN.
    The Feedback notification comes to the UWL of the person who has created the document (folder).
    No E-Mails are sent, and subscription service does not work in that case.
    If you want to fulfill your requirements you need to create a custom portal component which adds the Feedback to the resource and sends the E-Mails too.

    a) Choose Home u2192 Documentsu2192 Public Documents u2192 documentstest.
    b) Open the Details page for the documents folder.

    Hi Bhaskar,
    While configuration of Emails through portal one thing is to be made sure that the SMTP server that you configure for e-mail notification accepts e-mails from and sends e-mails to all domains that users may have in our environment. It is especially important that administrators have an e-mail address that the STMP server accepts.
    Now the second step is configuration., hope u have finished it . Final step is, After changing settings using the configuration tool, you must restart the Java application server for the changes to take effect.

    We can either use UWL for the same.
    There is one connector that should installed .Once it is installed users will be able to view the notifications in the universal worklist and in outlook as well as forwarding the notifications or deleting them.
    The other option would be to use Email services through SMTP. Pls chk this link.

  • I Have No Voice Mail Notifications In Z10 Hub

    I have seen issues with Voice Mail Notifications in various threads, but I didn't see one having No Voice Mail Notifications In the Z10 Hub at all. Sorry if I missed a thread that applies.
    From what I was told by Blackberry Technical Support, at the bottom of the BB Hub next to "Calls", "Emergency Alerts" and "PIN", should be "Voice Mail" (or something similar). I have none and therefore do not get any notifications when I receive a Voice Message. I thought this was odd, and figured I had some settings incorrect, but that is not the case. It's just not there.
    I am in the USA on Verizon's network with the latest updated OS 10.1.0.2039 that they offered on a STL100-4, Z10.
    Anyone else have this issue?

    My wife had the same issue on her Z10.
    A quick call to customer service at AT&T and they set it up.
    Rebooted her phone, and all was well.
    I'm sure Verizon customer service can do this for you as well.

  • Syncing Mail Notifications Between Mac and iPhone

    I been having this problem with the mail notifications not syncing between the Mail.app on my MacBook Pro and iPhone. Let me explain:
    When I get a new email, I hear the sound and see the red notification icon appear on both the MacBook and the iphone. When it comes to checking the new email, here are the two possible scenarios:
    a) If I check the new email on my phone, the red notification icon disappears from BOTH the iphone and the MacBook.
    b) If I check the new email on my MacBook, the red notification disappears from the MacBook but DOESN'T disappears from the iPhone (that is until I open the app). This happens with both cases, when the app is "running" in the background or when it is complety closed.
    I don't know if I am crazy but I am pretty sure that both of the notifications used to disappear before, no matter where I checked the mail.
    I tried deleting and creating the email again on my phone, and it didn't work.
    Here some info that could help find a solution:
    - I'm using icloud email (@me.com)
    MacBook
    -Mountain Lion
    iPhone:
    - iOS 6 (this problem started before the upgrade)
    - Push is on.
    - Fetch (that suppodselly would be used only if push is off) is set to Manually.
    - On the "Advanced" sub-menu inside the Mail settings, Push is also selected.
    Hopefully this can actually be fix and I can prove myself that I was not crazy!!

    Anyone find a fix for this problem? I've been waiting for this since notification syncing was announced a couple years ago with iOS 6. I use iCloud for my email and find it very frustrating that when I read an email on my Mac or on iCoud.com that it doesn't automatically dismiss the notifications for those emails on my iOS devices until I open the mail app on each iOS device. Notification syncing works great with other apps. With iMessages, for example, when I read a message on my Mac running Yosemite, the notifications disappear on my iOS devices without opening the messages app (badge app icon, home screen notifications and notification center). Why can't they figure this out with email? I remember at my old job, I had an exchange account that properly synced mail notifications between devices, but it has never worked with my iCloud email. I wonder if I am just missing a particular setting or if Apple just blew it here. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    I would suggest you ask that question in the open directory group as they will have more practical experience in doing this. You must ensure that your forward and reverse IP address of the serve is set up correctly before doing this.
    And could i use Local user database and LDAP in the same time?
    Yes that us normal operation - there will always be some accounts in the local directory, but you should not put users in there.

    My ical e-mail notifications are set up to my .mac account, but I need to change it to icloud address, as I'm getting errors when it tries to send e-mail notifications to the @mac.com address.     Nevermind, I found it.
    Mail Policies > Text Resources > Add Text Resource
    Set the type as Encryption Notification Template (HTML), edit the HTML and then also add one with a type Encryption Notification Template (text), edit the text. Then go into the Security Services > IronPort E-Mail Encryption > modify the Encryption profile and choose the new Text Resources created above.
    Under Text Resources I was also able to create custom bounce messages with variables that display all the relevant information regarding the bounce.

    i'm downloading all the files you advised and one more doubt regarding SOA installation,
    i'm using BPEL Process manager 10.1.3.1.0 installed on my machine and not installed SOA Suite (problem in installing AS Middle tier), i send voice,sms through BPEL PM which works fine, and faced problem in e-mail notification only, according to me with out installing SOA suite we can use BPEL PM or please let me know the procedure to install the downloading files.
