UWL list refresh error

I have experienced that UWL does not show the most updated task list. User need to force browser refresh to refresh the task list.
Looks like a bug in UWL. It also show informative message on top "The list of items shown here could be outdated. Waiting for update". But it doesn't update the task list.
Is it a UWL configuration issue or UWL bug?
Anybody had similar experience.

Hi Abhay,
not a bug, just another feature.. What the UWL does is that it by default fetches the work items at defined intervals from the backend systems.
What you can do is to shorten the interval (see UWL iView parameters) or educate the users to hit Refresh every once in a while.
In NW2004s there's also a new delta pull mechanism (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/eb/101fa0a53244deb955f6f91929e400/frameset.htm) for the UWL, which should make the automatic update faster.

PowerPivot refresh error with data feed from sharepoint list with empty exception information

Hi,
My Powpivot refreshing error seems to be different from what others already experienced.
Scenario:
Constructed an external data source in the format of Http://<server_IP>/sites/<mysitecollection>/_vti_bin/listdata.svc
selected one table with some of the needed columns in the next step
Create calculate colums etc.
Create pivot tables etc.
All worked well offline
Upload the workbook into PowerPivot Gallery
Reference it from a page through Excel Web Service webpart allowing manual refresh
The refresh always reports failure with the named external data source
I opend the log file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS and located the following error messages:
ASPPHOST::ShowEngineError: Out of line object 'DataSource', referring to ID(s) 'f8939b694cae', has been specified but has not been used。The following exception occurred while the managed IDbCommand interface was being used: .
Please note in the above message, NO detailed exception message was given. In other words,
the exception information is empty.
I checked as many things as I possibly could includin the security accounts etc. All seem to be right. But this empty exception got me stuck here.
What could possibly go wrong? Any help will be appreciated.

Cannot add Portlets: Portal Repository - Refresh Errors

I cannot add portlets in Portal 3.0.8.
When I click the "Refresh Error" link in the Portal Repository, I get the following error:
PROVIDER[527954]: Oracle Portal Pages PORTLET[886]: TN_ORGAN LANGUAGE: s ERROR: User-Defined Exception
How do I get rid of the error?

The way the Refresh works is that for each provider, Oracle9i AS Portal contacts the provider for its list of portlets. It will request the list in each of the installed languages. For database providers, this call is the get_portlet_list API. For web providers, this call is the oracle.portal.provider.v1.Provider.getPortlets java API.
The error you are seeing in the refresh log is being caused by an exception raised in provider=527954,portlet=886,language=s in either the get portlets or get portlet methods. You should check these two methods with Swedish.

In between, I got a messge about verifying my payment method. When I tried to submit the details, I kept getting a mmessage stating that my payment method was declined (my card is not near it's expiration date, and works fine).

How to find the List of Errors occured while Upgradation

Hi All,
I am working on Upgrade Project from 4.7C to ECC 6.0. I need to find out the list of all errors occured custom objects while doing Upgradation. I heard abt tool Uptimizer but our company is not using that tool, is there any other way to find out the list of errors.
Can anyone please give me some suggestion how to proceed further tht would be great help.

Most of the development issues can be identified by SAMT and UCCHECK in the upgrade sandbox. There may be a small percentage of runtime issues not identified but they will be covered during the testing phase.

UWL list showing the workitems wrongly.

Hi ,
In the UWL list the sometimes the workitem is displayed with wrong information.
If I have 4 work items which are expected to be displayed in the UWL list, Instead the UWL shows three work items.
The work item combines the decription of the other work item and shows the wrong information.
E.g. I have three columns in the UWL list Item description ( this is the description of work item), name and status.
The work item
       Item Description                Name                         Status
1.   Test results of 1                ABCD                        Ready for acceptance
2.   Test result of 2                 MNGK                       Approved
The UWL instead of above results, shows the one record like below
1.    Test results of 1              MNGK                Ready for acceptance.
Has anyone faced this problem before? any pointers for this?

When i try to list using the hadbm the following error prompts:
hadbm list hadbm:Error 22012: The management agent at host localhost is not ready to execute the operation, since it is about to do repository recovery.
Please make sure that a majority of the management agents in the domain are running, and retry the operation later.

Second issue:
asadmin configure-ha-cluster --hosts host1,host2 --devicesize 56 hadbExecutes a couple of things:
1) check if a application server cluster called hadb (your last argument) exists, this is probably not the case
2) Create a HADB database with device size 56 called hadb , if not there already
3) Create Datasource and connectionpool in AS configuration
4) add reference from cluster to datasource and pool.
So the way to go is, define a cluster first and afterwards, run this command to enable and configure HA for your appserver cluster.

List threshold error on SharePoint Documents webpart under Mysite Content tab

Hi,
Even though the list threshold limit has been increased for a team site to 40k in CA -> Web App -> Resource Throttling options when a user goes to his/her mysite and are member of a particular team site they get the following error message on the SharePoint
Documents webpart:
An error has occurred.
The attempted operation is prohibited because it exceeds the list view threshold enforced by the administrator.
The number of items in the document library for that particular team site are 14k where as the limit has been increased to 40k.
Can anyone help why we are getting this error message? Thanks

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had List threshold error on SharePoint Documents webpart under Mysite Content tab.
Items in the recycle bin count towards the limit, please make sure you did not delete items from this list recently and if you did, remove them from the recycle bin too.
Please make sure you removed the 'Assigned to' criteria from the view.
I also recommend to increase the threshold limit and see if that works, though it is not a good idea for the long term.
The default value for this limit is based on farm and list performance and how SQL Server manages locks.
Rather than bumping the List View Threshold or the List View Threshold for Auditors and Administrators, you should modify your query. The best ways to do this are:
Execute the query against a limited view rather than the default list view containing all items by specifying the view name in the new SPQuery object constructor.
If you can’t execute your query against a limited view, create a column index for each column contained in the <Where> clause of your SPQuery.

Is there anybody out there that would have a description for the list of errors we can get in crawl log file.
For example I would like more info and how to fix these errors...

I am not sure about all the errors but lets build up slowly.
Following are Authentication related errors:
WKG-30007: Authorization required.
WKG-30199: Authentication
WKG-30201: Missing authentication credentials
WKG-30025, WKG-30164 are both related to connection between the crawler and the target. Errors appear when ssl connection could not be establised or the ssl certificates have expired.
I am afraid there is not much documentation where the problem and solutions could be dug out.

ACL-list syntax error in PIX after upgrade, need urgent help!

Hello everyone
We have a setup including Cisco ACS + a VPN 3005 Concentrator and a PIX 515E (7.2.4)
We upgraded the PIX version from 7.0 to 7.2.4 and suddenly our downloadable access-list was getting refused when users authenticated against the ACS.
When debuging radius in the PIX we found that entering this line in the downloadable access-list give error and stop the users of getting the ACL.
"deny ip any 192.168.0.0 0.0.255.255"
PIX refused to process their auth request when encountering this line.
Fine we said, we changed the ACL syntax to this : deny ip any 192.168.0.0 255.255.0.0
This made the PIX process the ACL.
We were happy for awhile until VPN users started to complain.
It seems that the VPN 3005 cant deal with the syntax we entered in the PIX!
The VPN 3005 doesnt seem to be able to handle the acl line "deny ip any 192.168.0.0 255.255.0.0" !
It can only handle "deny ip any 192.168.0.0 0.0.255.255" !
Which the PIX cant handle..
I'm a loss at what to do here..
We got VPN users who cant surf now with these ACL problems.
What can I do? Anyone else encountered this?
We upgraded the VPN 3005 to the lastest SW version

I don't think Cisco ever changed anything on the PIX. It uses subnet masks from day one AFAIK and VPN Conc uses wildcard masks like IOS. You can use the acl-netmask-convert command on the ASA to fix this issue. This way you define a willdcard ACL on the ACS/AAA server and then use this command on the ASA to use the same downloadable ACL for both devices (PIX,VPNC).

Cache refresh error in Production Server in XI

whenever any object in ID gets changed cache refresh stops in XI in the production server.It throws error that it is unable to refresh the cache.All post installation activities are done properly.What should be done to solve the issue.

Problem with UWL iView path now I corrected it and could see preview of uwl. I have identified few issue on this context -
One is, when I see the preview of sap given standard uwl page (content provided by sap -> end user content -> ....Universal worklist) I could see default view with 5 tabs, where as if I assign eu_role or eu_core_role to user then browse Home -> work -> Universal Worklist then I could see single tab named "Open Items" alone.
We are using sap standard configurations and no customization had done, and more over working on BPM so I have checked uwl.standard.xml & uwl.bpem.xml configuration files with Q system where UWL UI and functinality is working fine.
Here my question is, Is the problem with eu_role & eu_core_role..or how come in run time UI is changing.
Second one is, If I tried to check system connection by click on Display Connection Status at UWL page getting error - Page not found or not available I am not sure where to check this.
I assigned Process viewer as related link to uwl page, If I open that link getting error as No autorization and the same error even to see preview at iView level as well. usr having BPEM End user role.

OLAP Universe - Error: DBD Runtime Error: In Catalogue List: Unknown Error

Hi there,
I have a problem while creating a universe on top of a BW Query/Cube.
While creating a connection to the BW System (using a message server)
an error occurs: DBD Runtime Exception: Error in Calling Catalog List: Unknown Error
So, no catalogue list is generated --> I don't see any cubes/queries in the list.
Can anyone help?

Why are you using message server?
Application server is much more stable...
Can you do a normal SAP logon via this message server (same parameters off course)?
