UWL- Manage substitution not working

Hi All,
We are having problems with managing substitution. When we create a sustitution rule, it creates two rules(same). Please let me know if somebody has come across with the same issue earlier.

ok but when ur GUI type is SAPGUI then ur UWL iview is working and when it is WEBGUI than u get 404 error.
WHEN u launcg UWL iview from SPGUI than which transaction is exctully used.
pls pecifi the transaction so i can help u.
u have to create a service for that tranasaction UNDER ITS so from ITS it's works,

Just completed a clean install of CS6 Photoshop on my Yosemite Mac Book Pro and the Adobe Application Manager does not work and cannot install a fresh copy from Adobe

Just re-installed a fresh copy of CS6 Photoshop on my Yosemite Mac Book Pro and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and therefore cannot verify my copy. What should I do?
I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager may be damaged and that I should install a new version of AAM. But after downloading a fresh copy of AAM and doing the install, the program (AAM) still will not install. It is like an infinite loop!
Please, someone help!

I'm sorry but I am not on Creative Cloud. I'm still on CS6 and it was the Adobe Application Manager that wasn't working and I could not install the update to this application. My AAM version is: 8.0.0160
The link you provided was the update that I wanted to install but it does not work. A window shows up during that install that says:
We've encountered the following issues.
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
and then the link to the Adobe Support Advisor which leads to a "Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" page.

File manager still not working w 10.7.3combo

Since installing lion (I started with 10.7.2) file manager is not working. Yes, I can force uit it and than it does but it is still very annoying and time consumin to do it 2-4 times a day. I was hoping that 10.7.3 will solv it. Than installed based on advice I received hee 10.7.3 compbo but the problem is still there.
Do you know or have you run accross a thread that explains how to solve it?

What is "file manager?" Is that a piece of third-party software, or are you referring to the Finder? If it's third-party software, you'll need to contact the developer for an update or fix. If the Finder is not working (how is it not working?), then you could try some of the tips in Understanding upgrade nightmares.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>net start crmdmgtd
The CiscoWorks Daemon Manager service is starting.
The CiscoWorks Daemon Manager service could not be started.
The service did not report an error.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3534.
Also I checked syslog.log and it is showing below error
an 17 14:39:34 127.0.0.1 100: <28> dmgt[1316]: 2507(W):Daemon manager anonymous user has not been set up: 00000569

During installation, an user casuser is created with certian security settings and if those are modified\removed, DM will not start.
Following message will be seen in /log/syslog.log
Daemon manager anonymous user has not been set up: 00000775
To solve the issue, run resetcasuser.exe located under /setup.support to recreate the settings.
Make sure casuser account is not locked out. Make sure casuser is a member of casusers group and is set to "password never expires".
Additionally you can try to make casuser a member of adiministrators group.

I reset the casuser password and restarted the service but still no luck....

Check the properties of casuser under Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Local Users and Groups > Users and make sure it is not disabled or locked out. The only thing checked should be "Password never expires". Change anything required and reset casuser.

Configuring the UWL Manage Substitution Rules

Hi,
I have a need to be able to add at least one more additional columns/fields to the Manage Substitute Rules/My Substitute Rules, Search For People/Current Selection and the General Data screens of the UWL Manage Substitutions Rules.
Is this a configurable feature/option in that can I add extra fields to the different fields?
The reason for this requirement is that my current client is implementing SAPs Concurrent Employment in their ECC 6 and SRM 5.0 systems. This decision is causing all sorts of challenges.
If a person wants to define a substitute in the UWL, when they select the Search For People, we want to display an additional column that displays the position/job description for each person within the organization. This would make it easier to select the correct instance of a person if that person had multiple display entries in the selection list. For example if the system returns Joe Cole Soccer Player; Joe Cole Librarian and Joe Cole Accountant and the person wanted to select Joe Cole Librarian, they would have the required information to make the selection.

UWL Manage Substitutions

Hello,
I am on EP 7.0 ECC 6.0 and having a problem when a manager wants to create a substitute for himself in the Portal UWL to approve Time and Expense .
When the user goes to Manage Substitution Rules-> Create Rule->Select the person to be the substitute .
Now when assigning the Tasks for the substitute the 4 options are :
Time Expense PCR and ALL
User wanted to have an option as: Time and Expense in the DropDown ..I added that by doing the configuration in SPRO ....now there are 5 options but when the user selects the Expense only it is not working but when the user selects Time and Expense ..only Time entries are visible to the Substitute not the expense....so everything except Expense is working.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Gone to SPRO->SAP Netweaver -> Application server -> Business Management -> SAP Business Workflow -> Basic Settings -> Substitue Profile -> Assign
Substitute Profile ...before creating an entry here it asked me to create an entry in the Table T77RP...so gone to se16 and created an entry first there as 0007 and Time and Expense..then gone back to the same path in SPRO-> Assign Substitue Profile and created 2 entries there as:
sub. profile Classification
0007 4(for Expense)
0007 5(for Time)
then gone to Define Substitute Profile and created an entry as:
0007 Time and Expense.
Please let me know if I have done anything wrong and what could be the cause of the problem.

Media Manager does not work

I have an 8700C. I installed Blackberry Desktop Manager V4.6.0.12 and I have V4.2.1.96 (Platform 2.3.0.79) OS installed on my device. When I go into the Media icon in Desktop Manager I have a split screen with Media Manager on the left and Blackberry Media Sync on the right. The Start button for Media Manager is grayed out. I installed Media Sync, was told to install iTunes, and then told my device is not supported for Media Sync. I have not been able to get Media manager to work since Desktop Manager version 4.1 or 4.2.

I would recommend doing a clean uninstall of the DN v.6 with Media Manager,using the following:

Reboot the PC, and download and install DM 4.6 without the media manager. If you search the forums you will see that media manager is not very stable. Personally I use the drag and drop method through Windows (must have media card installed,) very quick and efficient.
Media sync is compatible with your phone and can be downloaded as a separate program here:

Media sync does work well with your music management. However, Itunes with DRM are not able to be transferred to the Blackberry.

Norton Log-in Management is not working after downloading Firefox 4.0

Since downloading Firefox version 4.0, Norton Log-In Management no longer works as it used to. Prior to the download, and after signing on to Norton, the Log-In Manager would automatically populate any web page which requires me to log in. Also, the Log-In Manager no longer appears in the toolbar.

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Variable Substitution not working when using ABAP mapping

Hi all,
I am doing an IDoc to File scenario.
Due to some complex mapping requirements, i had to use ABAP mapping for IDoc to File ( IDoc : SHPMNT05)
There is also one more requirement where in i need to generate the receiver filename dynamically
i.e the filename is of the form :
GW-XYZ-DD/MM/YYYY.csv
Where
XYZ is the Shipment number (E1EDT20- TKNUM)
DD/MM/YYYY is the IDOC creation date in ECC (EDIDC-CREDAT)
so i used the variable substitution option in receiver file adapter.
But its not working.
Is there any limitation for using the variable Substitution, doesnt variable substitution work in case of ABAP mapping?

u written ABAP mapping program to get the file name in the required format ,
is it rt?
when u test it at message mapping(including ABAP map program)
u get the the required format of file name in the one of target filed.
if that was fine, please check the variable substituiton parameters at receiver file adapter.
i mean, are u maintain variable name and refernece.
u have to specify the payload information.

Substitution not working

Hi Friends,
I created a substitution rule as follows (Call point 2 - Line item level):
prerequisite:
BSEG - KOSTL = 'ABC' AND BSEG - MWSKZ = 'V1'
Substitutions (if prerequisite is met)
BSEG - MWSKZ = 'V2'
Logically, this seems to be correct. But when I try to post a document with two line items (line item 1 have this cost center and tax code and line item 2 is balance sheet), tax code is not changing to 'V2'.
Please could you help me why this is not working?

Your understanding about substituion is wrong.
If you give something, it will not replace that.
If you do not give something or the user inadvertently misses something to enter, then the system substitutes the same.
For example,
If the company code is ABCD, then substitute with profit center WXYZ, in such case if the user misses to enter profit center, then it is substituted with as per the rules of substitution. If the user has given profit center PQRS, then system will not substitute, and the user entries will prevail.
Please note that you need to create substituion in GGB1 and must assign in OBBH, then only it works.

Color management does not work as expected, different from v3.6

Color management seems to work differently than FF 3.6.
On a home page, I have a background graphic that is supposed to blend into the page background. I have left that graphic untagged so the blending will work in all browsers regardless of color management. This works fine in IE, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox 3.6 in all color management modes.
In default mode 2 in v3.6, the graphics is not color managed because it is untagged. The page's background is left as is, and things blend perfectly. In mode 1, full color management, the graphic is assumed to be srgb and is color managed, and the page's background color seems to follow.
In Firefox 4, using mode 1 creates a mismatch between graphic and background, as if this time only the graphic is color managed and not the rest. This is bad because it now creates a situation where we cannot be sure that there will be a match.
