UWL Substitution not working

Dear all,
We have a problem with UWL Substitutions. We have a backend SRM 7.0 system and the users are trying to do substitutions with the option 'Receive my tasks'. When they do this, the substitutes do not receive all the tasks, but only 4 of them.
We check the SWWUSERWI table and we see 30 tasks assigned to the 'boss' and only 4 of them assigned to the 'delegate'.
We have also checked that HRUS_D2 table is correctly updated with the substitution.
Do you know why the tasks are not being updated with the UWL Substitution?
Is there a way to manually update SWWUSERWI with substitutions rules?

In relation to the scenario that you have described you mentioned wanting to restrict the external users being displayed for Substitution in Internal Portal. You have setup the UME property and People Renderer Profile, Trusted Attributes settings as per the documentation.
Now in relation to the above could you kindly confirm that after making these changes did you perform the following:
Clear the UWL Cache
Restart the UWL Service
Now regarding the document you referenced this is the official way that we recommend customers to restrict the people picker. Unfortunately there really isn't another supported way to achieve this. We just read all users back from the UME/LDAP, etc. However, the solution in the blog was signed off by our development team as an achieveable way to restrict the people picker so long as KMC is running on the portal.

In NW 7.01 the people picker functionality is provided by a KM component that supports company related functionality. In NW 7.30 UWL no longer uses KM PP. Instead it uses native PP that lacks company related features.

WHEN u launcg UWL iview from SPGUI than which transaction is exctully used.

Variable Substitution not working when using ABAP mapping

Hi all,
I am doing an IDoc to File scenario.
Due to some complex mapping requirements, i had to use ABAP mapping for IDoc to File ( IDoc : SHPMNT05)
There is also one more requirement where in i need to generate the receiver filename dynamically
i.e the filename is of the form :
GW-XYZ-DD/MM/YYYY.csv
Where
XYZ is the Shipment number (E1EDT20- TKNUM)
DD/MM/YYYY is the IDOC creation date in ECC (EDIDC-CREDAT)
so i used the variable substitution option in receiver file adapter.
But its not working.
Is there any limitation for using the variable Substitution, doesnt variable substitution work in case of ABAP mapping?

u written ABAP mapping program to get the file name in the required format ,
is it rt?
when u test it at message mapping(including ABAP map program)
u get the the required format of file name in the one of target filed.
if that was fine, please check the variable substituiton parameters at receiver file adapter.
i mean, are u maintain variable name and refernece.
u have to specify the payload information.

Substitution not working

Hi Friends,
I created a substitution rule as follows (Call point 2 - Line item level):
prerequisite:
BSEG - KOSTL = 'ABC' AND BSEG - MWSKZ = 'V1'
Substitutions (if prerequisite is met)
BSEG - MWSKZ = 'V2'
Logically, this seems to be correct. But when I try to post a document with two line items (line item 1 have this cost center and tax code and line item 2 is balance sheet), tax code is not changing to 'V2'.
Please could you help me why this is not working?

Your understanding about substituion is wrong.
If you give something, it will not replace that.
If you do not give something or the user inadvertently misses something to enter, then the system substitutes the same.
For example,
If the company code is ABCD, then substitute with profit center WXYZ, in such case if the user misses to enter profit center, then it is substituted with as per the rules of substitution. If the user has given profit center PQRS, then system will not substitute, and the user entries will prevail.
Please note that you need to create substituion in GGB1 and must assign in OBBH, then only it works.

AFS ARUN Size Substitution Not Working As Expected

Hi All,
I need help with this. If any one of you have worked with AFS ARUN size substitution, kindly provide me with some details on how can I set it up. I am specially interested in setting up size substitution with two-dimensional grids.
I have setup some examples but it does not work as expected.
Here is a small example:
Say I have a size 28/30, 28/32 .........29/30....
What I want to achieve is that during ARUN if there is a shortage of stock in 28/30 then the remaining requirement qty should be confirmed from size 28/32.
with my setup after 28/30 it goes into looking for stock in 29/30, which is what I do not want.
Any inputs will be really appreciated.

VAL_SIZE_TO_IMAGE indeed works.
What fails to work is VAL_SIZE_TO_PICTURE. (Second option in Fit Mode attribute in control editing panel)
I tried with JPEG and it's the same.
I am attaching an example.(Load_Image.c & ONEP_3Trow_POS1.JPG)
A panel with two picture rings.
- SW_1 remains at the intended size and the loaded picture is not clear.
- SW_2 will fit to picture size and looks OK.

PVCS/Headstart revision substitution not working

We've been following the instructions on p95 of the Headstart documentation, using a string of $Revision::xxxxxxxxxxx$ to get PVCS revision number substitution on our modules. This doesn't seem to be working correctly - sometimes the substitution takes place, sometimes it doesn't (in standard text files, not binary). We're using PVCS V6.5.
There's nothing in the PVCS documentation to suggest that a revision string of anything except $Revision$ will work. Why does the Headstart documentation state otherwise? Does it refer to functionality that used to be available at an earlier release of PVCS? It also seems to be saying that using this string will prevent the corruption of binary files - the PVCS documentation clearly states that keyword substitution should never be used with binary, as corruption may result.

I am not sure what you mean by sometimes the substitution takes places and sometimes it doesn't. The expansion of a keyword is depended of a setting in your configuration file (see file type tab on configure tab).
You can enable/disable the expansion per file type extension (even using a wild card).
Normally once you have enabled it for a fmb it should work for all fmb's. However it may not work for already checked-in fmb's: if you add a keyword later on it may not expand. You can use wild card here (undefined) but it takes a specific file type extention first. You have disabled it for fmb and enabled it for (undefined) then it will not expand.
Please let us know if this solves your problem: verifying the keyword enabling/disabling per file type.
In addition you mentioned the disrecommendation of PVCS/VM to use keywords in binary files. Expansion in binary files with the fixed lenght, as you do, has always worked in previous releases. It still works in 6.5 and 6.6 but pvcs/vm no longer supports it officially, what can I say?

Cost center substitution not working

Hello,
I have made a CO cost center substitution in OKC9, callup point 1, prerequisites: sales office=1010, sales group=n01, substitution COBL-KOSTL with "na001".
The sustitution is active , I have run program RGUGBR00 but still not working. When I try to make a delivery I get the message that the account needs CO allocation.
I have also try using FI substitution for BSEG-KOSTL, but I can't get the same prerequisites (sales office and sales group).
Please, suggest a soution.

ABAP code needs to be written in the exit... With in the code you need to read the fields coming in from SD... Ask your abaper if it is possible to use some field symbols and read the data from memory directly
I dont know the technicalities much, but it should be possible to read the fields

PS - Substitution not working in WBS create

I have this requirement. I want the last level of WBS to be automatically ticked as account assigned. I created a substituion with a user exit with a prerequisite as PRPS-STUFE >=1
I used the following logic in the substitution exit
Check in PRHI for every WBS element (POSNR) if 1st subordinate (PRHI-DOWN) is blank.
If it is blank then for that WBS element Account assignment element BLEKZ = "X"
The substitution works perfectly alright in the change mode but it does not work in the creation mode of the Project or WBS elements.
Any solution to this problem is highly appreciated.

Substitution in WBS-element is called in function module G_VSR_SUBSTITUTION_CALL, you may set break point in the FM and the user-exit to check the import and export data during the project creation to see if the substitution do have called and the user-exit do export correct data.

Urgent:- Substitution Not working

I am substituting one VO .
The substitution is working fine in Jdevloper.
We have imported the jpx file and using jdr_utils.printdocument('/oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/server/customizations/site/0/OpportunityQuotesVO') also its displaying the contents of the substitution.
But strangely we see both Vos in About page>BC4J components and the new VO is not used at all.
But in about page when we click on the old view object it displays the new view object's query.
Any input on this will be appreciated.

what do you mean with the new VO is not used at all?
Have you tried to use one of the new VO attributes in your page? Have you got some errors? Have you bounced the server?
In the about page you always see the original VO, but a runtime it'll be substituted by the new one.
Moreover, when you want to refer to one of the new columns you must always refer to the seeded VO, not to the new one.

Substitution not working properly

Hi,
I have extended a VO and substituted.
I could able to successfully add a new column in the LOV region from the VO.
But when I tried to map the newly added column in the LOV region with the parent region item, its not working properly. There is no error but the dependent LOV does not take the value from the parent region.
Anyone experienced similar problem?

No it does not take from any other LOV and there is no existing LOV mapping for this item.
Its in the iExpense>Create expense report>General Information screen> Approver LOV
The APPROVER LOV needs to be mapped with the field "Cost Center" which is not there in the standard functionality.

Substitution not working for transaction F110

Hi Folks ,
I have created a Substitution for FI transactions for substituting a Header field. I have added 3 transactions (F-28, FB01 and F110) to the pre requisite of the substitution.
The susbtitution works perfectly fine for the transaction FB01 and F-28, but is not triggered when I run transaction F110.
Could you please tell me what can be the issue?
Secondly, do the Automatic Payment Program (APP, transaction F110) creates an accounting document number BELNR? Where can I get that number in the program?

F110 is the transaction code for automatic payment run program; the transaction execution happens in the background and in normal way, catching a break point in related substitution/validation exits might not be possible.
Main programs associated with this transaction are SAPF110V (Entering Payment Run) and SAPF110S (Payment Program). In program SAPF110S, variables XDEBUG and ONLINE decides whether the run should be in online or in debugging mode. Flag the variable leads the execution to debugging mode.
Create a payment run via F110 transaction and do a proposal run.
Execute SE38 transaction code and select program SAPF110S and open in display mode.
Find variable “XDEBUG” and set break point at “XDEBUG” assignment (XDEBUG = SPACE).
Now execute OBBH transaction code and select desired substitution and go to Menu Extras -> Expert Trace -> Set Breakpoint.
Got to the substitution include in which exit is defined. Set a session breakpoint at the U exit.
Execute program SAPF110S with the above created payment run id and date.
Execution of SAPF110S stops at XDEBUG variable assignment. Now change value of variables XDEBUG and ONLINE as ‘X’, which enables the debugging mode and continue execution.
Execution stops at the session breakpoint placed in the U exit.
Check with above method to reach your substitution. If it reached then you can use ABAP stack to get variable values used in some other programs which is already available in the ABAP stack.

Substitution not working for Cost Center

Hi All,
We are using OBBH to make a substitution for Foreign Exchange valuation to meet one of requirement as cost center at line item level to be blank, we have made cost center field blank in substitution.
When we run the foreign exchange valuation system is updating the cost center from the source line item to the difference account. It is not considering the substitution value which is blank in cost center.But we have added some other fields in substitution those are working fine other than the cost center.
Do I need to make any settings for this to take cost center as blank at line item level.

the substitution may be used for filling the cost center when it is empty, but not for clearing it when it is filled, because the substitution isn't called when the cost center is already filled.

Simple Substitution not working in Jdev

I am trying to test a simple Substitution case in my environment. When I run my JSP in the base env with Substitution engaged then I get an exception. And when I run AM in the base project with Substitution engaged, then I don't see the new behavior. Following is my use case.
1. Create ContactEO in the BaseProject. Default the first name to be 'DefaultFstName'
2. Export ContactEO to an ADF Library.
3. Create a jsp that exposes attributes from the ContactEO via the VO.
4. Now create a new empty project in the same workspace, let's call it CustomProject.
5. In the CustProject, include the library that was created as per step2.
6. Create a new EO that extends ContactEO. Override attribute for First name and default it to 'CustomFstName'
7. In the CustProject, define the substitution rule so that ContactEO is replaced with ContactEOExt.
8. In the base project set Factory-Substitution-List=CustomProject
If I run my jsp created as per step 3, I get the following exception. This is surprising because my CustomProject doesn't have any jsp pages and why is it even trying to look for CustomProject's cpx file? I am running the base app only here!

I have done an entity Object substitution and in order to rule out any coding errors on my part I have generated a fresh EO with no code changes in it and uploaded the files to java top and updated the MDS with the substitution.

I have covered everything in the above threads and followed the EO substitution scenario exactly as per area51.
I am now getting a different error on the EO substitution, when the page loads that creates a row in the EO the following error is displayed:

Business Area Substitution not working after Upgrade

Hello Guys,
We upgraded our system from Version 3.1 to 4.7.
In this client bus area is mandatory field for every line item in any accounting documents.. For this we have necessary validations and substitutions.
For MIRO there is a susbtitution for tax line item. The logic is copy the bus.are from line item with posting key to the tax line item (Because this tax line item is auto.created line item). For that one there is a substitution in Mod. pool ZGGBS000 . It is Form U999
the ABAP code is
FORM U999 USING BUS_AREA.
IF NOT BUS_AREA IS INITIAL.
MOVE BUS_AREA TO B_AREA.
ELSE.
MOVE B_AREA TO BUS_AREA.
ENDIF.
ENDFORM.
It used to work in 3.1H. But now 4.7 it is not at all working..i mean it is not substituting the bus area in that tax line item... My Developer checked it and is saying there is no problem with the code..
Did anybody faced this type of problem ? Did any guys know what is the problem with it ?
I searched OSS notes but didn't find anything...

First try regenrating the substitutions with RGUGR00. Also look at table GB01 and be sure the X is gone for the field business area(GSBER). If the X is there remove it.
Also in the code BSEG-GSBER is the field to change.
