  • PIMSync Contacts linked to appointments in Outlook/Lotus Notes

    Hi,
Is it possible to automatically link appointments from Outlook Calendar or Lotus Notes to the contacts (which are invited for the appointment via Outlook or Lotus Notes) in CRM On Demand using PIMSync? If not, is there a workaround, e.g. using a different program?
    Kind regards,
    Niels Rekers

Niels, not at this time. However, you should see something in R17!

  • CSA 5.2 and Outlook/Lotus Notes

Im having an issue when i click my outlook icon on my desktop which uses the domino connector i get a blue screen and my machine reboots.
What type of exception would I need because I dont see any events from when my machine rebooted.

You will want to make sure the notes connector exe is what is being added to the kernel only protection module. If I remember it is a different program all together between notes and outlook. You might want to try with these files listed below if they are on your system. I don't have the connector loaded so I can't verify the files. It also might depend on the version.
When you install Microsoft Outlook Connector for Domino, the Setup program (Msocsetup.exe) installs the files listed in the following table.
MSOC32.dll-A Message Application Program Interface (MAPI) connector that allows Microsoft Outlook Connector for Domino to communicate with a Lotus Domino server.
MSOCrc.dll-The resource file for Microsoft Outlook Connector for Domino.
MSOCep.dll-The file that displays the Password Settings dialog box.
MSOCp32.dll-The file that manages your local message store.
    MSOCprc.dll-The resource file for MSOCp32.dll.
MSOCLog.exe-A command-line tool that logs information on connector activity.
PABImport.exe-A command-line tool that imports the contents of your Lotus Notes address book into Microsoft Outlook Connector for Domino.
PABrc.dll-The resource file for the PABImport tool.
Basically you need to find out what that executable name is for the connector app.

  • How to convert lotus notes .nsf to outlook .pst?

    Dear guru,
I'm looking for the way to convert my notes email archive(.nsf) to outlook mail file. I found that there are some commercial 3rd party tool doing this job which is tooooo expensive for me. Is there any good way to convert .nsf to .pst or to move my mail data to outlook for FREE?
I tried a method which uses localhost mail server to send notes mail to outlook locally by IMAP(http://www.benshoemate.com/2007/11/09/how-to-upload-all-your-old-archived-email-to-gmail-from-outlook-lotus-notes-and-unix-pine/) but failed because my company blocked IMAP and POP3 incoming for security reason.
I'm using lotus notes 7.0.2 and Outlook 2007. Does notes connector work for this problem?
    Thx.

If I talk about free lotus notes migration apps then online records are showing that there are no free tools yet for lotus notes archive migration. Microsoft has a connecter suit (free) for same that allows migrating of configured notes database file to
ms outlook. External tools are playing very important role here with perfection and satisfaction.
Among all, Export Notes is a very low cost and feature-rich solution that assures accuracy of migrated data.
It allows all types of nsf (mail database.nsf, archive.nsf, names.nsf) file migration
into ms outlook pst file as well as Exchange Server (business version) even the data is inside All Documents folder or encrypted.

  • IPhone - Lotus Notes - Mac Outlook

    Here's the problem:
I have an iPhone5s; I also have a MacBook Pro; I am running the latest OS on both. I also have a client who uses Lotus Notes for their email and calendars and I make extensive use of WebEx GoToMeeting. Everything is/was hunky-dory until I began to see that all of their calendar invites were being recognized as EST rather than EDT. Of course, both my iPhone and Mac 'tastefully' put them in as EDT, making me an hour late for every meeting.
Now the issue does not appear to be present in Outlook for Mac 2011, and there are some nice features of that package. However, I can't figure out how to synch the calendars between iPhone and Outlook by any means, and it seems to me the literature out there suggests there isn't a lot of hope for success here.
So any help/guidance would be most appreciated. My desired solution would be to find a solution to the iPhone <--> Lotus Notes calendar problem as that would mean that all of the calendars and contacts that I have so diligently organized on my Mac and on iCloud would be leveraged. However, if that problem is beyond resolution, real support/help on iPhone to Outlook calendar synchronization (contacts would be nice, but not as critical) would be wonderful.
    Chris
...btw, there is no issue with Mail.

The iTunes sync process does not include email account mailboxes and messages. There is an option to automatically transfer email account settings for an existing email account to the iPhone's mail client via the iTunes sync process, but that is it.

  • How to Convert Outlook to Lotus Notes ?

I'm looking for the way to convert my Outlook email archive (.pst) to Lotus Notes mail file (.nsf). I found that there is some commercial 3rd party tool doing this job which is too expensive for me. Is there any good and manual way to
convert .pst to .nsf or to move my mail data from Outlook to Lotus Notes ?

    Hi andy
Here is a free utility to convert Outlook to Lotus Notes known as Nupgrade.exe. With the help of this tool you will easily transfer Outlook data to Lotus Notes. With this tool you will need to remember few things like:
    • The Upgrade Wizard is not installed with the Notes client, by default. To obtain the Upgrade Wizard, perform a custom install of the Notes client and select to install the Migration Tools components.
    • Confirm that Microsoft Outlook is configured on the workstation as "Corporate or Workgroup" instead of "Internet Mail Only"
    • Confirm that Microsoft Outlook is configured as the default mail application on the workstation.
Verify which Outlook .pst files are linked to a profile on that workstation.
After that with the help of few easy steps you will easily convert Outlook PST to Lotus Notes:
    1. Open a Command Prompt window by selecting Start --> Run and then type in:
          cmd.exe
    2. Change to the Notes client program directory. For example:
        cd program files\lotus\notes
    3. Enter the following command to launch the Upgrade Wizard:
       Nupgrade.exe 3
    4. Click "Next" to continue past the Welcome Screen.
    5. Select your profile that is linked to the .PST and .PAB files to be migrated and then click "Next" to continue.
    6. Specify the type of Upgrade Method to be performed, either "Express" or "Custom", and then click "Next" to continue.
Note: If you select "Custom", on the following screen, you can specify which items that you want to convert to Notes. However, if you select "Express" (the default upgrade method), all .PST files and .PAB files linked to the selected profile will be converted
    to Notes.
    7. Click "Next" to accept the defaults for Personal Folder Conversion Options. By default, the Upgrade Wizard will convert the contents of .PST files into a Notes database based on the default mail template (e.g., Mail6.ntf). The Notes database created by the
upgrade wizard is created in a Mail folder below the Notes client data directory.
    8. Select "Finish" to begin the conversion process when you reach the begin upgrade screen. Once the Upgrade Wizard begins the conversion process, you will need to supply the password for the Notes User ID.
But if your MS Outlook account is connected is “Internet Mail Only” then you will need to use a third party tool like
Outlook to Notes Converter which easily convert Outlook data to Lotus Notes file format. Because a right third party tool is always guarantee for secure data conversion process. Read more:

  • Approval through Lotus notes / Outlook ?

    Hi All,
I have a query which needs to be solved .

I just want to know whether an agent can Approve / Reject the workitem after looking at all the data , through outlook or Lotus notes ?
If this is possible then, how can we go about it ?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    <i></i><u></u>

SAP seems to be phasing out everything except the new duet solution. Although there are a lot more possibilities built in to Lotus Notes than to Microsoft Outlook there seems to be little support from SAP for Lotus Notes these days.
There's the snag of having to get a logon to have the user context to do things in Lotus Notes, I am actually not sure how that is solved in Duet as I haven't really studied it (it's a Microsoft product, their history makes me skeptical - and I haven't needed it either).
In any case I think the "after looking at all the data" will give you problems, if you by that mean that you should be able to open attached objects etc without leaving Notes or Outlook. The standard scenario demonstrated by SAP is Approve/Reject, so that is something Duet can handle well, and shouldn't be a problem in Notes either.

  • How to import Lotus Notes or Outlook calendar into iCal ???

Is there a way to import calendar data from either Lotus Notes or Outlook calendar into iCal ? Is there a generic data type file that I must first get the calendar file into before importing into iCal ?

The file must be .ics. I used to simply use Missing Sync to get my calendars synced up, however it's not yet supported in Leopard.
So, in order to get my office Outlook data over to Ical, I simply used the following "macro"
    http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=136194
Simply follow the instructions...it worked well for me. all my work data got transferred over.

  • Sync Palm With Lotus Notes 8.5.1 Using EasySync 4.2.7: Calendar does not show location

I have a Garmin iQue3600, which is basically a Palm III with a GPS built in.  I could sync my Outlook 2007 contacts and calendar flawlessly.  (Palm Sync 6.0.1, Palm Desktop 4.1.4). Company was purchased, now we are using Lotus Notes 8.5.1.  No native Palm support, so I tried EasySync 4.2.7.  This actually works pretty well, except that the calendar entries do not sync the location of the meeting; this is rather important to me.
Is there a setting somewhere that can fix this?  Years ago I used Intellisync to do this, but that company is gone now.
Someone suggested Companionlink, but the on-line reviews for that product are pretty bad.
    Thank you.

    Lisa,
Welcome to the Palm forums and thanks for that great feedback!

  • Shared Mailbox migrating from Lotus Notes to Exchange

We currently have Lotus Notes and in the process of migrating to Exchange Server 2010. We are using the Quest Notes Migrator for Exchange and the Quest Coexistence Manager for Notes tools.
One of the issues we’re coming across is Shared Mailboxes..
    Currently in Notes we have:
Signatures as part of the NSF file so they are included with every email – how will Outlook clients behave for Shared Mailboxes? Because we want the same Signature to be part of every email sent from a shared mailbox regardless of which user sent the email.
We are aware that if we use OWA we won’t have this problem, but how do we configure Signatures for Shared Mailboxes using Outlook clients?
Stationary: We have Stationery linked to our Shared Mailbox accounts, so for example, in our helpdesk mailbox, we have stationary documents/templates we send to end users who email our helpdesk asking a FAQ. Opposed to pointing users to SharePoint, how
do we tackle this in Outlook? Is there options?
    Thanks
    Ray

    Hi,
    1. you can use transport rule to have same signature when from field contains shared mailbox email address.
    2. Sorry, I don't understand your second question.

  • Problem viewing emal in Lotus Notes

I upgraded to ne firefox 8 and now when I login to my work email which is Lotus Notes I can see the folders and tabs but the center of screen with the actual content of the email data is blank. It worked perfectly through all the other upgrades.
I desperately need help on this so I can work from home.

I've investigated this one and this is unfortunately not possible to change.
PC Suite will read the original local timezone setting for a meeting when syncing with Lotus Notes.
Normally, when syncing with e.g. Outlook, this is not a problem since the phone with auto-adjust the displayed time to your timezone. The only "solution" to this problem is to keep in mind that the meeting will occur one hour earlier than shown in the calendar unfortunately.
Also, a re-occurring meeting can't be edited for a single event. All non-smartphones will not be able to do that. The whole event will have to be changed for the phone to understand this.
E.g. If you have a re-occurring meeting for every monday at 9AM, you cannot change one monday to 8AM and keep the rest at 9AM since the phone can't handle this.

  • How to view *.eml files in Lotus Notes as native application?

Using Desktop Integration for Lotus Notes, and using Contribution Folders via Notes:
I can drop-and-drag an e-mail from lotus notes inbox to the contribution folder (in Notes) ok. I can view the *.eml file in Contribution Folder (Notes and Explorer), when I select "View" from the Contribution Folder it first attempted to open the file in outlook, I then changed the "view with" attribute,to Notes. Notes attempts to open the file and throws an error message: Invalid Directory Name or device not ready.
Has anyone come across this before? If so, how did you ensure application consistency that e-mails declared as "documents" are accessed again via the native application (Lotus Notes not Outlook)?
    Many thanks,
    A.

Not entirely. At least we came to the conclusion it doesn't make (much) sense to block the save option of PDFs if you want to allow printing them
Anyway; there is of course another possibilty: you could always write your own java bean PDF reader; there are plenty of java PDF libraries available:
Open Source PDF Libraries in Java
The easiest way would be to choose one which can open a PDF from a URL and render it; I would retrieve the image via mod_plsql using WPG_DOCLOAD and simply use the PDF library to render the PDF. No tempfiles anyway, and if you don't implement it there is also no save button.
    cheers

    Hi folks,
I have an client, running Windows 7 Pro with M$ Office 2007 Pro, Lotus Notes 9 and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.
My problem is, that I am not able to initiate an e-mail-based review.
I can't choose an adressbook, it always says that there is no connection to the e-mail-program.
Also if I enter an valid e-mail-adress this message appears.
Lotus Notes 9 is set as the standard mail program in windows.
I hope, you can understand my problem and you can help me.
    Cheers
    Christian

    Hi Christian,
Please set Outlook as default mail client and see if review can be initiated successfully or not.
Also note that, Lotus notes 9 is not officially supported with Acrobat 9.
