I' ve gotten this msg twice from Verizon to upgraded my V cast apps. i writing this post to ask has any one Else gotten the same Msg. in a Text Msg.
I got the same texts back to back yesterday afternoon.

You will not be able to download anything - even free apps - until you
resolve the problem with your account.

I live in Italy and I am trying to buy an App, for the first time with my iphone4...in the past only downloaded free apps free apps; I have a US Visa card and it is not accepted by italian Itunes...what can I do to do my purchases?
On the apple website that is correct i beleive.... but i have an italian american express and am able to purchase stuff here in the US.

A "VZW free msg" says a phone on my account "made a charge with a third-party vendor ... ."
This evening, I got a "VZW free msg" alerting me that a phone on my account had "made a charge with a third-party vendor." This is the second such message I've gotten this billing period. The messages are identical. My bill for the current billing period won't be ready till this weekend, so I have no way to track down any details. The phone belongs to my wife, and I am absolutely certain that she has not billed anything to her phone. The maddening thing about these messages is they give no details. Who's the third-party vendor? How much was the charge? What did my wife supposedly buy? No such details appear in the text message, and I can't find details anywhere on the My Verizon site.
This text message does add: "For details or to block such charges: www.verizonwirel." (That's correct as written—I presume some of the message got truncated. That's how the message appeared both times.) However, I can't find any documentation about how to block these charges.
After I got the first of these messages, I called Verizon's customer service number (800.922.0204). A very pleasant gentleman noted my concern and checked my account. He found no such third-party charges, and he advised me to look carefully at my next bill. I left it at that until I got the second message this evening.
Speaking of customer service: This evening, I tried twice calling Verizon's customer service number. Both times, the call ended with a recorded voice telling me, "I'm sorry, but your call cannot be processed at this time. Please try your call later." Huh? Why not an offer to leave my number for a call-back? They as much as hung up on me. Not impressed. And, by the way, why doesn't Verizon post their customer service number on the Web site? I had to dig up the number by way of www.gethuman.com.Contact us on every page has the number.

That third party stuff is probably "cramming" Verizon just got hit with this practice which is illegal.
The law states you can call Verizon up and have them place a permenant block on third party services.
They cannot refuse and you do not have to pay for them.
Notify the FCC http://www.FCC.gov or the Federal Trade Commission http://www.FTC.gov

How To Get iWork Apps Free on iPad 4 Purchased in June 2013?
Since I've got my new 13" MBPr in June 2014, the iWork apps are apparently preinstalled, my question is, can I get the iWork apps free on my iPad 4 purchased in June 2013? On Apple Store on my iPad 4, the iWork apps show a price tag of $9.99 each. Any idea how to get those iWork apps free on my iPad 4 using same Apple ID?
iWorks apps for Mac and iWorks apps for iOS are different products, the apps only work on the appropriate operating system. They are therefore priced and sold separately.

I download an app. But doesn't show up on my homepage. I go to download it again from the cloud and all I get is a message saying "you already download this application so you will be able to redownload the app free of charge" I press ok. Still don't have it

Network Error when Trying to Use V Cast Apps on OS 6.0
I recently updated to OS 6.0 on my Bold 9650 via the OTA and the VCast Apps icon is now visible on my device. When I select teh icon, it opens 1.0.8 build .8. When I try to select a category, I am prompted for a "V CAST Apps Update" that I must complete to continue. When I select the update, the application churns for awhile, and then tells me it is unable to process my request due to a "Network Error."
I have deleted all of the third-party apps from my device, and rebooted, and all that, but still cannot get VCast Apps to work.
Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it? I have seen some other mentions of the issue, but no one seems to ever find a solution.Hello,
There were some known issue occurring with the Vcast Apps program. We have released an update that can be downloaded here http://mobile.vzw.com/VCASTApps. If not viewing this from your device please just type in URL into browser on phone.

Is it possible to make some apps free for a limited duration?
I've been using apps both on the Android market and iTunes store.I've noticed that some apps
such as "Whatsapp messenger" which are free across all markets are paid apps on iTunes store.
It would be wonderful if such apps were free for iOS users also.So is it posible to make an app free
for iOS users also? If not,atleast is it possible to make it free for a limited duration?Just FYI, Whatsapp is not free indefinitely even on Android phones. They give a one-year trial period after which you have to pay per year for the subscription (a miniscule amount, but you have to pay nonetheless), whereas with the iOS app you pay once up front and then don't have to pay again. So in the long run, the iOS version comes out cheaper (at least unless Whatsapp changes their pricing model). And also just FYI, Whatsapp doesn't work on the iPod touch, only on the iPhone.
In any case, as planb77 said, pricing is totally up to the developer of the app. It's completely the developer's choice what price to charge for an app.

I bought a used macbook air, with reinstalled the OS without iMovie. How can I get iMovie on App free of charge as a default in macbook air ?
Unfortunately, as recommended by the lady from CA, as long as the Mac is still associated with the Apple ID of the original owner, you can't even buy those iLife apps with that Mac. You will always get the alert to download them with the original owner's Apple ID.
As suggested by the chavo from España, you need the original owner to contact Apple Care* and request that the OS and the iLife apps be disassociated from his Apple ID. Then you should be free to OS X Recovery to resinstall the most recent version of OS X that shipped with the Mac and install the iLife apps. Afterward, before using any of the iLife apps you need to open the Mac App Store (MAS) to the Purchases pane and Accept these apps into your MAS account's Apple ID. If you use any of the iLife apps before you have accepted them into your account, as per the app's Terms of Use, they all become one-trick-ponies that can not be downloaded onto another Mac or updated.

I cannot load the V CAST Apps to my phone. It says Loading......... then i get ERROR: unable to complete request. I have sent an app to my phone through the verizon website, tried loading it, and still get the same error. Anyone know how i install and run the VCAST app ? fyi....i was able to load V Cast media and music with no problem.
DARLENEP71, Vcast is a great feature for ringtones,music, apps, games, and more. I'm sorry your having a hard time accessing it from your phone. We will first need to know what type of phone you have? This will allow us to check if there have been any reports of issue withVcast for your particular phone. Why all my previous downloaded apps (free or paid) suddenly not showing up on the iTunes store "purchased" section. Every time I select "purchased", the next screen shows "no purchased app available for downloaded"?? It is the same on my iphone4 or ipad 2!! Please help!!

I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.
