V CAST Apps

I cannot load the V CAST Apps to my phone.  It says Loading......... then i get ERROR: unable to complete request. I have sent an app to my phone through the verizon website, tried loading it, and still get the same error.  Anyone know how i install and run the VCAST app ?    fyi....i was able to load V Cast media and music with no problem.

DARLENEP71, Vcast is a great feature for ringtones,music, apps, games, and more. I'm sorry your having a hard time accessing it from your phone. We will first need to know what type of phone you have? This will allow us to check if there have been any reports of issue withVcast for your particular phone. Please post back with the model of phone you have. I will list a link below for general information about the Vcast feature.

  • Network Error when Trying to Use V Cast Apps on OS 6.0

    I recently updated to OS 6.0 on my Bold 9650 via the OTA and the VCast Apps icon is now visible on my device. When I select teh icon, it opens 1.0.8 build .8.  When I try to select a category, I am prompted for a "V CAST Apps Update" that I must complete to continue.  When I select the update, the application churns for awhile, and then tells me it is unable to process my request due to a "Network Error."
    I have deleted all of the third-party apps from my device, and rebooted, and all that, but still cannot get VCast Apps to work.
    Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?  I have seen some other mentions of the issue, but no one seems to ever find a solution.

  • V Cast Apps Error Message "Unable to complete request" after updating software

    Purchased the Samsung Droid Charge last week. I really like the phone, but I'm running into an error message. 
    When I click on the V Cast Apps icon, I'm directed to install an update, otherwise I can't use the software. So I click to update, the download occurs just fine, the install happens fine, and I accept the terms and conditions. As the software begins to open, I receive the following message:  
    Error: Unable to complete request
    There are three boxes to choose from, Retry, Catalog home, and Exit. Retry and Catalog do not respond at all, so I can only exit. I've tried installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing cache etc. I also made sure I have the most recent Android software which I believe I do, 
    Hardware Version: i510.06
    Firmware Version: 2.2.1
    Build number: SCHI510.EE4
    I've read the previous posts, but I'm not finding much in terms of answers. I recall seeing something about an updated APK but I don't know really what that is about. I would appreciate any assistance or tips you can offer.

    As I previously stated, yes, I did uninstall & reinstall. Actually a few times. 
    4G, with 18MB download speeds. Also tried on Wi-Fi. 

  • V cast app store

    Why won't it let me use my v cast app store? It always starts to load and then a message pops up and says error it won't work. it has worked once before but never again. Help?

    I'm having the same problem. After a factory reset I found I was missing an update for it but it still wouldn't do anything. I sent a message to tech support yesterday about it. You may have the same problem.

  • V CAST APP PROBLEM/ DROID 4

    I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO ACCESS THE V CAST APP ON MY DROID 4 SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT BACK IN MAY. WHEN I SELECT THE V CAST APP IT BEGINS TO LOAD AND AN ERROR MESSAGE APPEARS 'UNABLE TO VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT-PLEASE CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE'. I CAN ACCESS ALL VERIZON APPS THROUGH GOOGLE PLAY SO I'M BEGINNING TO THINK THAT THE V CAST APP IS NO LONGER BEING USED BY VERIZON AND IT WAS PERMANENTLY INSTALLED ON THE DROID 4 BY MISTAKE.
    ANYBODY HAVE AN ANSWER?

    That sounds frustrating! I can assist with this application. There may be a block on the account that is preventing you from using the application. Have you tried to delete the VCast app and download it again? If the issue persists, send me a private message with your name and mobile number.   • V CAST Apps on DROID Pro

    I reset my phone to factory settings because it was clogged up with useless apps and I did not want to go through the entire app list to uninstall so I just factory reset. But after I did I went in to update my v cast apps and now it is saying that it is not even supported by my device, anybody know anything?

    Are you still having this issue with your V Cast Apps? Which applications are you downloading through V Cast Apps? If you are still having this issue and you have already power cycled your phone, try clearing your cache from the Market. Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Market>Clear data/cache

    I lost the V Cast Apps application on my Storm 2 no icon is anywhere - where can I download it?  It is not on my home page, in applications or in downloads.  It is not hidden any where, nor is it listed under options-applications etcs.  Any help would be appreciated on how to get this app back.

    Connorjacob, our Product Support Team is aware of the issue with not being able to update the pre-loaded Verizon Wireless applications in the Android Market, and is currently under investigation.  We should have a fix for that problem soon.

    I' ve gotten this msg twice from Verizon to upgraded my  V cast apps. i writing this post to ask has any one Else gotten the same Msg. in a Text Msg.

    Scott i've got a Droid X an they sent me a update thru Text Msg. For VCAST Apps But i ignord it to me it just more Crap to pute on the phone. there are better apps in the Market.

    All,
    We are currently multicasting 8 HD TV channels on our network, each stream is about 11Mbit.  When we add all 8 channels to the Cast app on the 4310 every stream freezes, is pixelated & has green artifacts.  If we only add 3 channels or so to the Cast app on the 4310 then all the streams are perfect.
    Also if we swap out the 4310 for a 4400 and add all 8 channels to Cast on the 4400 then all the streams look perfect too.
    So my question is this, when using Cast does the DMP subscribe to all multicast streams all the time?  This would make sense as 8 streams at 11Mbit would max out a 100Mbit LAN connection which the 4310 has but the 4400 has 1Gbit LAN port.
    Second question would be why the 4310 only has 100Mbit & not 1Gbit?

  • Can't get "VCAST Apps" to load ANYTHING

    I just activated my LG Revolution two days ago, and when I try to open "VCast Apps," I can't get it to load ANYTHING. It just keeps loading, but nothing happens. Is there a solution? Can I uninstall VCast Apps, and then reinstall?

    It's definitely frustrating to not be able to access applications on your new phone.
    Do you happen to get any type of error message when you try to load V Cast Apps?
    Are you having problems loading any other applications on your Revolution?
    Please follow the steps below
    1.  Press MENU> SETTINGS> APPLICATIONS> PLACE A CHECK BY UNKNOWN SOURCES. 
    2. Open browser and enter following address.  http://mobile.vzw.com/VCASTApps3  It is case sensitive.
    3 .Download the application and if asks to replace the application,  then do so.  
    Once you go thru the set up it should start working again.

    When starting vcast apps. During the loading process it come back and says "ERROR unable to complete request. My options are Retry, Catalog Home and Exit. Just received the phone yesterday already having problems or operator error.

    Rest assured, it's not a defective phone. I have the steps that will give you access to V Cast Apps.
    I had the same issue with my Android when trying to launch it on my Android device. You will basically need to reinstall the application.
    1. press MENU> SETTINGS> APPLICATIONS> PLACE A CHECK BY UNKNOWN SOURCES.

    I use an Apple TV in my classroom to show CNN student News using the Pod casts App. It has not updated since the 12/19/14 edition.  The app on my IPad isn't updating either.  Any suggestions?

    FiOS doesn't carry Headline News in HD.

  • What happened to Tetris?

    So I had to reload my Droid X, and every purchased app that I bought loaded just fine...except for Tetris by EA Mobile.
    I noticed that between Christmas and Valentine's Day, EA Mobile cleared all of their Market apps on Verizon and put them back out there.  Same versions and everything, but Tetris did not appear as installed for me.  Apparently this is because of Verizon's "V-Cast" apps or some kind of exclusivity deal.
    Regardless, this was an app that both I and my wife paid $4.99 for at the time, and now we can't get updates or re-download in the event of some kind of disaster with out phones.  If we had been informed of this prior to it happening, that would be one thing.  And yeah, it's just one game, but I really liked wasting time with Tetris.
    Also to note: I've contacted both EA Mobile (actually got an answer) and Google, and they're pointing their fingers at Verizon.

    This happened to me when I retored the phone a month or so ago (or something like that). I kept looking for it to show "purchased" and for a while, it was listed as "purchased", but when I tried to re-install it, it just said "can't be found". 
    At the time, I had bigger things to worry about than a $5 game I love to play, but hardly have the time, so I forgot about it for a couple of weeks. After that., I was looking through my instaleld apps, saw Tetris in the "purchased" list and tried to download it. And this time, it downloaded and installed with no problems. 
    So keep trying, maybe it will finally work for you.

  • File attachment issue persists

    The OTA update was supposed to fix the issue of allowing a file greater than 5mb to be attached to emails.  After the update, I still can't attach a file greater than 5mb.  Will this issue get corrected soon?
