V10.2 & Internet Explorer v9 Issue

I installed Internet Explorer 9 and then received notice that Flash was outdated. I upgraded Flash to current version. Pandora, now, doesn't work. Their website suggests that the problem may be with Flash. I went to the Global Storage Settings panel at Adobe and found that page to have the same problem as Pandora. The Panel itself does not appear (there is simply white space where it should be) and there are no icons on the left of the page.
What can I do to get this back to "normal"? (Is there a way to reinstall the earlier version of Flash perhaps?)

(Things turned very ugly. I cannot post a Reply on the Vista machine -- says I cannot post a blank message. Anyway, here is what I tried to post>)
Okay, I reinstalled the nVidia driver (from their website - v266.58). No joy.
Developed a new issue -- now cannot login to Pandora on this computer; I can on the other computers.
Anyway, I turned off the Active-X filtering and again no joy. Turned it back on with no change.
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/se ttings_manager07.html
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/se ttings_manager04.html
The first URL does not allow me to see (or use) the Flash box -- there is a blank white space as earlier observed.
The second URL shows me a graphic (where the Flash Box should appear) that tells me I need to have "Flash to play." And a button to download and install.
I have not contacted Pandora but it does seem to work properly with Flash v10 on the Windows XP machine.
Wait!
Now I cannot play YouTube videos... says I need to install Flash.
I uninstalled Flash rebooted. Install Flash but still cannot use YouTube and both Control Panels say I have to install Flash... I used the button there but no change.

  • BT Yahoo mail and Internet Explorer display issues

There seems to be a problem with using a version of Internet Explorer whilst looged into BY Yahoo Mail:
    Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 - IE 8.0.7601.17514 - Display is OK
XP Professional Version 2002 SP3 - IE 8.0.6001.18702CO - See attached for what it looks like, It has a similar appearnce to what it might look like in text mode. IMPORTANT - This worked fine up until around 27th June 2012, then the problem started. If you click on the Mail icon, to get your Inbox, again, it renders better, but doesn't work - I just get the waiting icon (circle)
Yes, the operating system platforms are different (XP is still supported by MS), and yes the IE version are only _slightly_ different, but this worked up until a week ago, so must assume that some change to the operating system might have caused this, e.g. an update.
    Anyone else seen this?
Are BT aware of this, and if not what can they do about it.
    Thanks in advance.

    David

  • Flash version 10.0.32.18 and Internet Explorer 7 issue.

    Hello,
Have downloaded the "install_flash_player_10_activex.msi" and created an installation package with the settings in mms.cfg file of "AllowUserLocalTrust=1, AutoUpdateDisable=1, AVHardwareDisable=1" and tested in Windows XP with SP3 with IE6 and when checking the "Global Notifications Settings panel" link and the AutoUpdates are disabled all the other settings were as needed.
I then try the package on a Windows XP with SP3 with IE 7 and when I check the "Global Notifications Settings Panel" see the AutoUpdates aren't disabled. I have seen a post in AppDeploy.com claiming the panel setting doesn't make any difference the updates won't apply. Is this true or is there something I'm missing here?
    Regards,
    Glenn

We are having the same issue
We are using basic MP4 with H.264 codec as well
www.30atelevision.com is where our player is
all fine til the latest update.
Adobe claims its not Flash Player. We are not convinced, as we have checked numerous files, reencoded and so on.
I dont think they fully tested to confirm our suspicions. If we find a cure or have further information we will post it
We do thank Adocbe for at least responding. Further checking is needed for this suspected bug

  • Swing Applet - Internet Explorer - Focus issue - tool tips

    Hi ,
We are using Swing applet in IE Browser , except this swing component rest of the components in the browser are HTML/DHTML components.
and we are having issue focus issue with this swing components ,
once immediately after launching the swing applet , the UI components are having some focus issue , if I bring the mouse on top of the swing UI components , we couldn't able to see the tooltips(flyover text) of those Swing UI components.
However if we click some where on the Swing applet frame , we are able to see these tooltips(flyover text) .
It looks like a kind of compatibility issue between swing and IE browser .
I am trying to find a solution for this issue , so that once after launching the applet , tooltips will work without need to click on the applet bar.
Can somebody share some thoughts on this issue??
    Thanks,
    Bonthu.

As a wild guess you are mixing Swing and awt components which is a big no-no and among other things can cause repainting, refreshing issues.
If you want more help then that you need to post some code that shows us what you are doing.

  • Internet Explorer 11 issue with displaying value in confirm password text box

I have one Website which has deployed on Windows 2008 R2 server.
I have one issue with one Web Page... In my Web page have 3 Text boxes for Passwords like -
    Login          :
    Password     :
    Confirm Password :
So in this case, when this page load all data fills properly excluding confirm password.
"Confirm Password" text box always shows Blank. This text box already filled through code as per database value, but not shown value in this text box.
But same value is showing in first "Password" text box properly.
This problem occurred in IE 10 and 11 only. Same page is showing properly on other browsers and IE8 also.
Can you please give me any solution on this issue ?

    Hi,
For the issue,I would like to confirm if the issue is related to compatibility.
Please try to use compatibility mode use F12 to check IE8 mode will work.
    For reference about compatibility mode:

  • WVC210 Internet Explorer ActiveX issue

    Hi,
I've just got my Wvc210 camera installed, and when trying to setup the motion detection, it ask me to install an ActiveX plugin.
I can't install it, since IE tells me "
Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher.
    Name: Linksys210AlertCfg.cab
    Publisher: Unknow Publisher.
This is probably due to the fact that the expiration date has past for the SSL certificate....(valid through 11/07/2009)

On IE8, go into TOOLS: OPTIONS:  Security tab, and then click on Custom settings and change from block to "Prompt".
Let us know if that works.

  • Internet Explorer 11 issue

It has come to our attention that when someone comes to our site (www.thenedshow.com) with IE11 all videos on that page auto-play all at once. It's crazy and creepy!!! All off our videos are in widgets set to auto play when the thumbnail is clicked. I need to change the embed codes to turn off the auto play.
Has any one else experienced this?

    Hi,
This should be compatibility problem. You can try to change the documte mode to IE 10 or lower edition by pressing F12 in IE for test.

  • URL issue with Windows 7 Internet Explorer 11 and SAP NW PI 7.

    Hello SAP community,
I am facing a strange issue with Windows 7 - Internet Explorer 11 and SAP NW java services (I hope I am in the correct discussion) ...
When I try to open URL http://sapserver.hosters-name:port it is working so far with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11.
But when I click than on NWA (example), I am getting "http 500 server error".
I don't have the issue, when I start-up a VMware Workstation with Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8.
But now the strange part: In our network DNS (Domain Name Service), we can also open the URL by http://sapserver.our-dns:port.
Than it is working without problems with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.
I would agree to state the comment - it is just a Windows 7/Internet Explorer 11 issue, if it wouldn't work for both URLs (http://sapserver.hosters-name:port = problem URL; http://sapserver.our-dsn:port = working).
We are using a SAP NW PI 7.x system. Some URLs for PI are using http://sapserver.hosters-name:port/java service.
Do you have any hints what is cause the issue - I suspect some with Internet Explorer and Firefox (because with Google Chrome at least the URL for NWA is opened, beside the issue, Google Chrome can't display NWA content)?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards
    Carlos

    Hi all,
I think I found the solution.
The reason seems to be, the domain name for http://sapserver.our-dns:port, "our-dns" was already added to the compatibility view settings of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
That seemed to be the reason, why it was working with http://sapserver.our-dns:port.
When I now added for http://sapserver.hosters-name:port the domain "hosters-name" to the compatibility view settings it is now working.
Internet Explorer Options => Settings for compatibility view => Add domain
    Best regards

  • Game not handling screen scaling when using zoom on Internet explorer on Windows 8

    Hi,
I'm completely stuck trying to fix a bug in one of our games where any user with Windows 8 playing using Internet explorer have issues with screen scaling and input when their browser is not at 100% zoom level.
Today, I've tracked it down to a bug in Flash player that was reported 9 months ago, and which seems to have been fixed in flash player 11.9 ([MSFT 3612555][Win 8] - High DPI Displays - Corrects an issue where some content was not scaling with zoom changes). However, it is still occuring for our users. I have the latest flash player installed (13.0.0.206), and the latest flex sdk installed (4.6). Additionally, I'm targeting version 12 when compiling. I'm not sure what to do next, has anyone come across this problem in the past?
    Thanks,
    Graeme.

    Easy solution found.
It was using the WDS boot image known as "wdsmgfw.efi".
For proper UEFI mode booting with PXE, remove the original wdsmgfw.efi and make a copy of the file bootmgfw.efi in your RemoteInstall\Boot\x64 folder, and rename that copy of bootmgfw.efi to wdsmgfe.efi.

  • Spry Menu issues in Internet Explorer

I have created a Spry menu for my website and although the menu appears to look fine in Firefox and Safari, the formatting changes in Internet Explorer(IE).
1.sub menu bar is not dropping down below the main menu bar it is appearing at the top of the screen.
2.When you hover over the sub menu bar items the font should be white however in IE it is appearing as an aqua color.
3.The menu bar is not straight across the page, at the beginning and end there are chunks of the menu bar that appear white.
Are there any fixes for these issues that would help to make the menu look consistent across all browsers.  The website page is

Hi Nadia thanks for your help in trying to fix the spry menus.
I am new to Dreamweaver and therefore would appreciate a bit more help with the issues you identified.
I did replace the doctype. As for removing the menu from a table and putting it into a div, would you be able to identify in the code below how I would do that?  Thanks

  • Authentication issues on Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 8 (Crystal 2008)

    Hi,
We are in the process of migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7 (with Internet Explorer 8).
I have noticed that a web application which depends on Crystal 2008 is behaving differently in the new environment. For example, when I try to load a report I get this error:
Access to report file denied. Another program may be using it.
I know that this error can be caused by a permissions problem on the Windows temp folder, and I know there are various ways of pinpointing the exact permissions problem and various ways of resolving if that's the case. The fix that worked for us in Windows XP does not seem to work in Windows 7. My gut feeling is that IE is passing credential in some way differently from how it did before.
Since many aspects of security are so different in Windows 7 compared with XP, I was hoping to find some general guidelines from SAP/Crystal re: how to deploy or configure the client/server in this environment.
Are there any general guidelines available?
Thank you for any help... shannon

    Hi Shannon,
Not really, CR assumes it can access all of it's dependencies so it is a permission issue. Other than the usual config issues with IIS, full access to the      emp folder, full permissions on the Viewer folder, setting the framework in App pool correctly, etc.
Do you have Service Pack 3 installed for Cr 2008 and the latest Fix Pack 3.5?

  • HT201066 HI, quick time plug is cutting off mpeg4 vedios on its edges in internet explorer. please help us to resolve this issue.

    HI,
IN our application, We are uisng quicktime plug in to play MPEG4 vedios. But in internet explorer, the vedios are not fitting into the quicktime plug in. The edges of vedio is getting cut off (like vedio is bigger than quicktime window..). Please let me know how to fix this.
    thanks,
    Veena

    HI,
actually the vedio works fine if we play from our machine. The issue is happening only when we are trying play online. Please see the below link to reproduce the issue (please click on play button which will appear in below page.)

  • Weird graphics and other issues with internet explorer in all versions.

One of our laptops has an issue with their Internet Explorer. First, whenever the user logs on and starts internet explorer and navigates to any website, the website loads for a bit but then immediately displays a "Page cannot be displayed" error.
Every single time. If we try browsing again/refreshing the page it loads fine. But during regular browsing, we might get that page again.
Another issue that happens is sometimes the graphics logos won't load properly. See screenshot:
    http://i.imgur.com/0usOPpu.jpg
And this happens a lot. If this won't happen, the websites will only load with half its formatting missing.
    Now we have:
-Thoroughly checked computer for viruses. Several full scans have been done with MalwareBytes with no issues found. Microsoft Security Essentials has been installed, full scan done, no viruses/spyware/adware found.
-We have tried upgrading to IE11. Same issue. Downgraded to IE10. Same issue. Downgraded to IE9, same issue yet again. IE was Reset each time.
We checked if it could be a network issue, but none of the other computers connected to the same switch has issue like that.
    Any suggestions/ideas to try?

    Hi,
I suggest you temporary disable antivirus and firewall, then check the result.
You may try the steps from the links below to check the issue:
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956196/en-us
Internet Explorer "Page Cannot be Displayed" error due to Bad Proxy Server Timeout
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2551554
You may also refer to the computer or device manufacturer website and try installing the latest version of chipset, graphics card and video card drivers and check.
    Hope it helps.

  • Internet Explorer issue In Windows 8.1

In IE 11 in Windows 8.1 I found below issue:
     1) I found out that browser cache in Windows 8.1 is stored in “InetCache” folder which is located at C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache. But when this folder is accessed from windows explorer, the contents shown are different from, when
it is accessed through Browser Tools->Internet Options->General->Browsing history->Settings->View files.
     2) Now go to above said path (mentioned in #1 issue)from cmd. Now run dir command we see that it lists out  some files and directory name.Even though we delete everything from C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache by selecting (ctrl+A->shift+delete).
Can anyone help me in knowing why it does not delete everything from folder C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache when we clear all the  item? What is the purpose of the file that is listed out in cmd (like counters.dat, low directory etc)?
3)How this directory can be deleted? When I delete the C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low, again it gets created. How we can can delete counters.dat file from INetCache folder. What is the purpose of this dat file.
    4) The issue mentioned In #2 and #3 are also seen in Windows 7.
Please help me in knowing the answer of the above question.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    1) I found out that browser cache in Windows 8.1 is stored in “InetCache” folder which is located at C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache. But when this folder is accessed from windows explorer, the contents shown are different from, when
it is accessed through Browser Tools->Internet Options->General->Browsing history->Settings->View files.
Do you mean that you're unable to find the file path via File Exploerer, some files\folders are hidden and system protected, we need to go to control panel\Folder Options\View, then check Show hidden files & folders option, but also uncheck Hide protected
operating system files/folders option, then you will find the files.
     2) Now go to above said path (mentioned in #1 issue)from cmd. Now run dir command we see that it lists out  some files and directory name.Even though we delete everything from C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache by selecting
(ctrl+A->shift+delete). Can anyone help me in knowing why it does not delete everything from folder C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache when we clear all the  item? What is the purpose of the file that is listed out in cmd (like
    counters.dat, low directory etc)?
3)How this directory can be deleted? When I delete the C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low, again it gets created. How we can can delete counters.dat file from INetCache folder. What is the purpose of this dat file.
Regarding to Q2 and 3, I tested this issue, same result as yours, after I delet all the files under the cache folder, but the result of dir is still shown as below:
First the "Low" folder is to cache files when running IE in protected mode. the cache is considered as a virtual folder with the same low privilege as that of the Internet Explorer process itself. Regarding to the counters.dat file, and here is a
    similiar link:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie10-windows_7/unable-to-delete-countersdat-file/501c7dcc-9df4-4684-8301-d9c4d1ac94ca
since I have confidence that my machine is not get infected, so the.dat file should be a default file, I will do more research and test for the file, will inform you if I got any progress.

  • Issue with Internet Explorer on Lumia 920 Windows ...

The built-in Internet Explorer browser can't handle drop-down menus. On touch, the options are shown, the menu rolls out, but when lifting finger, it rolls back instantly so you can't make a choice. If trying to move finger to the sub-menu, the entire screen moves with the menu title fixed under your fingers, as when shifting a web page sideways. So the sub menu again can't be accessed. If using two fingers, the browser doesn't respond when selecting the sub menu. If pressing too long (>1 second) you're asked to share the link on e.g. Twitter... There seems to be no way of accessing the sub menu. So now I'm eternally logged on to LinkedIn since the logout is in an inaccessible drop down menu. Any way to solve this issue? When will this Internet. Explorer error be fixed? It's been there for months now.(May 2013)

I have the same issue on my lumia 920, love the phone but this is such a nightmare and pretty bad, considering the competition like i phone and Motorola g have no problems like this, plus its pretty embarrassing, i need this access for work, if there is no fix i may have to switch to another brand
