V12 migration.bat file missing

Hello,
I have two physical Win2K3 servers. One with xMII V12.0.2 plus NW 7 and the other with V11.5.1 . Each xMII version is running fine.  I have downloaded the latest version of the migration tool (XMIIMIGRATION03_0-10004466.SCA.zip) to the V11.5 server.  It is indeed a zip file. I unzipped it to a folder on the desktop and it contained three folders (BUILDARCHIVES, DEPLOYARCHIVES & META-INF).  The SAP Note # 1024626 states there is a migration.bat file to double click.  I don't see a .bat file.
I am logged in as Administrator on the Win2K3 server with V11.5.1.
Thanks for any help.
Chuck

Chuck,
Yes the SP3 version of the Migration Tool will only work with MII SP3.  This is due to the fact that some fixes in the Migration Tool required some changes on the MII side as well.  You can deploy the SP3 migration .sca file  before you upgrade to MII SP3 but you just cannot run the migration tool with MII SP2.
Just a FYI MII SP3 needs Netweaver SP14 so make sure you have the correct service pack before you upgrade to SP3.  Look at the installation guide and release note as well on how to install it as the JCO dll's need to be removed as they now come standard in SP14.

  • Error while migrating repository files from Brio to Interactive reporting

    Hi,
    I am doing migration of Brio from 8.3.1 to Hyperion Interactive Reporting version 11.1.2.1. I am referring http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hs_migration.pdf
    I am facing error when I am migrating resitory files from brio 8 to Interactive reporting version11 environment.
    Error [[ENOENT]] Accessing path: /c2cnas/Oracle/Hyperion_Home/EPMSystem11R1/products/biplus/opencat
    when I checked at my Linux server I do not see "opencat" directory under /c2cnas/Oracle/Hyperion_Home/EPMSystem11R1/products/biplus path. I don't know why this directory or folder was missed after Hyperion Interactive Reporting Installation. Do we need to create this folder manually for newer versions( 11.x)?
    Has anyone aware of this error? will it impact my migration? I am thinking that migration utility is looking to place .oce files in this directory but it could not find. is my understanding correct?
    Please help me on this.

    Usually in 11.1.2.1 the folder will be  "EPMSystem11R1\products\biplus\data\Open Catalog Extensions"
    I haven't seen a opencat folder.
    Can you check the migration logs.Also check permission for the user on the folders.
    Thanks,
    KK

  • Running bat files from JDeveloper

    hi
    Sometimes it could be convenient to run a bat file directly from JDeveloper.
    For example, the application in SQLAuthenticatorApp-v0.02.zip (see also forum thread "how to disable (or lock) users") has an Ant file BuildStuff/build-wlst.xml which has targets like "wlst.create-domain" and "create.wls-start-stop-bat-files", the last one resulting in some bat files which I have been able to configure to run from JDeveloper,
    see http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/img/2011/run-using-cmd-20110529.png
    The External Tool cmd configuration I use is shown in the screenshot

    - (q1) How can I configure the External Tool cmd to run in its own cmd (command) window outside JDeveloper?
    many thanks
    Jan Vervecken

    Hi Jan,
    It looks like this is going to be a bug from what I can see. After looking at it a little more this morning, not only does it not display the cmd window, but if you use the /k argument, it leaves the script running in memory. Look at your Task Manager after running a few times with /k
    I'll file a bug, and see if anyone has a work around or something that I missed.
    For now, it would appear this is not possible, and you will just have to see the result in the log window. I would not use /k as well. Stick with /c for now.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Help! problem running .bat files in browser

    HI! Hope you can help me!
    I have a simple applet that runs .bat files and retrieves the resulting information into a text box.
    To run those files I use:
    Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
    Process processo=rt.exec("C:/po2PrtMonitor.bat 04600105 ope >C:/infoPrt.txt");
    in wich "04600105","ope" and ">C:/infoPrt.txt" are parameters that the .bat file is expecting. When the file is ran it saves the resulting information on a simple .txt file, that I later read by using:
    fichResposta = new FileInputStream(fichRespostaPath[0]);
    When I run my applet on JDeveolper 9.0.2.822 is works perfectly, the problem is when run it on the browser.
    On the browser the applet executes the file by opening a MS-DOS prompt and when it finishes executing the file, the prompt closes automatically and doesn't send the information into the .txt file.
    My .bat file is something like:
    jre -cp PrtSrv20.jar sibs.deswin.prt.PrtMonGateway 10.46.1.22 5003 %1 %2 %3
    where %1,2%,3% are the above parameters given by the applet when the file is ran.
    If I run it on JDeveloper I get:
    C:\>jre -cp PrtSrv20.jar sibs.deswin.prt.PrtMonGateway 10.46.1.22 5003 04600105 ope
    PRTSES=04600105 HDR=0460010000000005 STA=OPENED TRF=ACTIVE TRP=CONN ILTS=15 Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

    Here is what is missing:
    ILT=0 MSQ=388 HDR=04.60.01.00.00.00.00.05.41.00.01.84. CMD=STRT-TRF
    When the applet is run on the IE broser what I get is simply:
    jre -cp PrtSrv20.jar sibs.deswin.prt.PrtMonGateway 10.46.1.22 5003 04601005 ope
    I have no idea as to what the problem might be! Do native methods work differently on the browser?! Could it be a problem on the deployment? A library not included on the deployment profile? Suggestions are very welcome.

  • Can I migrate my files and all my notes over to a new PC?

    I have 150 files that I read into Adobe Digital Editions, and I made notes in many of them. I need to preserve my notes. Almost all the files were free downloads (except 2), so I'm not worried about problems associated with Digital Rights Management. If I preserve the directory structure on my new PC (in order to keep the migration as simple as possible), what procedure can I follow to migrate my files and notes over to a new PC?  I trust someone at Adobe has thought about this issue.  Thank you

    I'm not sure this will work, but I think that if you install ADE, and then copy the directory
    C:\Users\<youruser>\Documents\My Digital Editions  from the old computer to the new, you will see all your annotations etc.
    The annotations themselves are in C:\Users\<youruser>\Documents\My Digital Editions\Annotations
    Don't lose anything from the old computer until you are sure it is all working on the new.
    Also, the old one may well be on an older version of ADE (eg 1.7.2), and the new will naturally install ADE2.0.
    I'm not sure if they have changed the format of annotations at all between the two;
    one reader recently reported the loss of many books when updating to V2.0. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1140605?tstart=0
    There are lots of bugs in V2.0, so if you are not yet on it you may do best to keep with the old version.
    Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/cant-install-digital-editions.html
    The forum software is sometimes corrupting the link above.  There shouldn't be a blank in 'editio ns.html'.  The following redirects to the same page: http://tinyurl.com/diged172
    You can also run the old version by copying the ?:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Digital Editions directory; no need for an install.
    The only thing you seem to miss from a 'proper' install that way is association of .acsm and .epub files with ADE; which you will have to to manually.

    Hi kgronau
    Yes SQLDev GUI is running.
    Investigated further and found the mistake:
    "C:\Program Files\Oracle\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin"
    Blanks in the folder to the migration.bat are not allowed.
    After reunzipping in a folder without blanks it works perfect.
    Thanks for the support

    There is escaping in the for loops which is necessary in a bat file and not needed at the command line.
    It seem to be that any command spanning more than one line fails. Fail? The example that gave shouldn't fail. It should simply run both echos.As I understand it, the command sequence
    @echo off
    goto XXX
    echo out
    :XXX
    echo last
    should just output 'last' and not 'out so if it prints both 'out' and 'last' then in my view it 'fails'. Am I missing something?

    Makes me even more pleased that I work mainly with Linux.Looking up syntax - what about getopts (bourne and korn)? You can also create 'functions', which can be defined later (if I recall correctly) in the script and called multiple times. I don't know how that would work streaming it in.I don't know about consequences of the streaming approach forward definitions in 'bourne' and 'korn' though I was not aware that 'bourne' allowed them. For 'bash' where forward definitions do not seem to be allowed (could I be mistaken in this?) then using        Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("bash", null, new File(System.getProperty("user.home")));the following very simple 'bash' script (which contains loops, if statements and functions but no goto or forward definitions) can be executed without problems - # Simple bash script
    function sayHello {
        echo "Hello" $1
    sayHello "World" ;
    for i in $( ls /tmp ); do
        echo file - $i
    done
    for i in `seq 1 10`;
    do
        echo "seq" $i
    done
    i=0
    while [  $i -lt 6 ]; do
    if [ $i -eq 4 ]; then
        echo "then" $i
    else
        echo "else" $i
    fi
        let i=i+1
    done
    i=12
    until [  $i -lt 10 ]; do
    echo "until" $i
    let i-=1
    doneIn the past, I have also published examples of how to run Perl scripts using the same basic approach. The heart of the examples is         final String perlScript = "#!/bin/perl\n" +
                "print \"PID $$\\n\";\n" +
                "print \"UID $<\\n\";\n" +
                "print \"EUID $>\\n\";\n" +
                "print \"GID $(\\n\";\n" +
                "print \"\\nProcessing the command line arguments\\n\";\n" +
                "foreach (@ARGV) {\n" +
                "    $n = factorial($_);\n" +
                "    print \"    $_! = $n\\n\";\n" +
                "}\n" +
                "print \"\\n\".'@INC'.\"\\n\";\n" +
                "foreach (@INC) {\n" +
                "    print \"    $_\\n\";\n" +
                "}\n" +
                "print \"\\n\".'%ENV'.\"\\n\";\n" +
                "foreach (keys %ENV) {\n" +
                "    print \"    $_==$ENV{$_}\\n\";\n" +
                "}\n" +
                "$x = theAnswerToTheUltimateQuestion();\n" +
                "print \"\\nThe answer to the ultimate question is ... '$x'\\n\";\n" +
                "sub theAnswerToTheUltimateQuestion()\n" +
                "{\n" +
                "    return 3*2*7;\n" +
                "}\n" +
                "sub factorial()\n" +
                "{\n" +
                "    my ($n) = @_;\n" +
                "    return ($n > 1) ? $n * factorial($n-1) : 1;\n" +
                "}\n";
            System.out.println(perlScript);
             * The perl source can be from any InputStream. Here I use a
             * ByteArrayInputStream just as a demonstration.
            final InputStream perlSource = new ByteArrayInputStream(perlScript.getBytes());
             * The '-' indicates that the Perl script comes from stdin. The "a","b","c" etc
             * are the command line arguments passed to the Perl script.
            final String[] command =
                "perl", "-", "5", "6", "7", "8", "9", "10"
            final Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);piping the 'perlSource' stream to the process stdin.
    This runs as expected on both Linux (FC9 and Ubuntu 8.04) and on Windows using Active Perl.
    Please don't take my use of a String to hold the Perl script to mean that I in any way endorse this approach - I just wanted a simple means to create a self-contained example.

    And the c shell has a goto also.One day I might find some time and investigate 'c' shell goto in this context - since I have not used csh for at least 8 years I am very rusty.
    I can't say that the 'streaming' approach will work with all Linux shells but I can say that on Linux I have had no problem with Perl and Bash. If anyone needs to use the 'streaming' approach with another shell then it takes just a few minutes to setup a test harness. If any problems are found then people can always resort to the 'Plan B' approach.
    I am still pleased I work mainly with Linux and Unix.

  • "required support files missing"

    I have the CS4 Suite on my Macbook - Purchased about 4 years ago, the license seems to have expired and none of them will open so I'm trying to get rid of them. The apps were migrated from a previous macbook although I haven't used them in a few years, apparently.
    Ive tried several tacks:
    When using any of the application uninstallers, I get a message saying "required support files missing."
    When I go to Utilities/Adobe Installers/ and run the installer app, same error.
    The directions on the Adobe Cleaner seem to say that you have to use AFTER the suite is uninstalled. So that doesn't seem applicable; am I correct?
    It looks like I'm not supposed to drag the applications to the trash bin. "In order to remove safely, do not drag ..."
    Any ideas?
    Muchas Thanks!

    If you read further down the page for the Cleaner tool I believe instructions are provided for uninstalling.  If you haven't tried those steps it's worth a shot:

  • Can only launch sqlDev 3.0 via .bat file

    I just downloaded 3.0 and extracted to a new folder. (winXP) The older version worked fine. Whenever I launch sqldeveloper.exe, I get " UNable to create an instance of the Java Virtual Machine"
    However, I am able to successfully launch when executing the sqldeveloper.bat file. AM I missing a configuration step?

    Make sure you're pointing to a 1.6 JDK in \sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf or delete the entry to get prompted to browse for it on next startup:
    SetJavaHome C:\Archivos de programa\Java\jdk1.6.0_16Hope that helps,
    K.

  • Problem executing .bat file from within Java class

    I'm stumped: I have no problem executing a .bat file that sets classpaths and executes a Java jar, but when I try to execute other executables first and then the .jar, my application hangs and since the DOS box doesn't come up over my GUI, I can't see what's going on.
    This works:
    public void execute() throws Exception {
    String s = "c:\\cs47auxs\\omnijar\\omni.bat";
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("\"" + s + "\"");
    p.waitFor();
    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(frame,
    "The Database Has Been Successfully Reloaded.",
    "Information Message",
    JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE);
    Here's the .bat 'omni.bat'
    set JAVA_HOME=c:\j2sdk1.4.2_04\bin
    %JAVA_HOME%\java -jar C:\CS47AUXS\OMNILOADJAR\OmniLoad.jar
    This doesn't work:
    public void execute() throws Exception {
    String s = "c:\\cs47auxs\\omnijar\\jobomni.bat";
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("\"" + s + "\"");
    p.waitFor();
    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(frame,
    "The Database Has Been Successfully Reloaded.",
    "Information Message",
    JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE);
    Here's the .bat file 'jobomni.bat'
    SET NETX_HOME=C:\CS47AUXS
    SET COBOL_HOME=C:\CS47AUXS\OFFLINE
    CD %NETX_HOME%
    CALL SET-NETX.CMD
    CD %COBOL_HOME%
    SSBPPC10 JOBOMNI X
    SET JH=C:\J2SDK1.4.2_04\BIN
    SET OMNI_HOME=C:\CS47AUXS\OMNILOADJAR
    CD %OMNI_HOME%
    %JH%\java -jar omniload.jar
    Can anyone shed some light here? Even when I execute the application from the command line the new DOS box doesn't become visible nor can I see any errors. If I could just get that visibility, I could probably figure out what is going wrong.

    Same problem with me as well.... Badly looking for a solution...
    I predict the following:
    - If your batch file has pretty less number of dos/shell commands then it gets executed fine with exec() and proc.waitFor();
    - If you increase the number of dos/shell commands in the bat file then try executing it then it definately hangs at proc.waitFor();
    Even "cmd.exe /C C:\\test.bat" hangs... if the commands are more...
    Is this some sort of bug? or am i doing anything wrong? I tried searching for solution on the net and search forums... but couldnt find a solution for the same.. not sure where i missed, what i missed...
    Incase some one finds a solution.. do post it here...

  • Calling .bat file from pl/sql

    I'm running Oracle 11g R2 on win7 system, and I would like to execute .bat file from a pl/sql block.
    I created a .bat file

    I changed my code in last xx minutes...OK, so you've removed all your exception handlers?
    so, now I'm calling to an exe file wich should appear at a desktop or processes list... but no..
    I gave all windows rights on that file, and also through dbms_java.grant_permission..
    but, nothing happened... not exception raised, no app. started...And no output from any DBMS_OUTPUT statement? Have you tried stepping through the code in your debugger?
