V240 Hangs at loading runtime image

Hi everyone, I'm new to Sun systems and i'm trying to setup a Sun Fire v240 server. I'm trying to connect to the server using windows hyper terminal, and the connexion cable supplied by Sun (RJ45 + DB9 adapter). When i connect the server to the power supply i get some messages (see attached file), but the process hangs up at the "Loading the runtime image..." phase (can't enter any command). I waited a max time of 15min, but it just wouldn't proceed. anyone can help? Thanks in advance.

I have a similar problem but the system doesn't hang but reboots.
I see:

Would this be the same hardware problem? I seems to have something to do with the motherboard, but is there something that can be changed without buying the whole motherboard?

  • Windows 7 Professional PC hangs at "Loading files" when trying to boot with custom capture image on Windows Deployment Services.

I have created a custom capture image in WDS. Now when I try to boot my reference PC into this image the PC hangs at "Loading files". The reference PC is running Windows 7 and I am using Windows Server 2012 Standard on my server.
I have followed the instructions on how to create the custom capture image on the server to a fault. I PXE boot the PC and it shows the capture images after I hit F12. The problem is that it starts to boot and then hangs about 2/3 way through the progress

  • Unable to load TIF images into Photoshop.

    CS4 (11.0.2) and Windows 7 Home Edition.
Have developed a problem trying to load some TIF images into Photoshop. I have a large number of images archived over a decade or more. At this point it may some of the older files that exhibit the problem. Now all these files were edited and stored using the Photoshop versions during the complete time period. The files are always saved with no compression. Have tried to load from Photoshop and clicking on the file in a file list. Photoshop just hangs and I get the message Program not responding. I can take these same files and load them into the ROXIO photo editor with no problem. Stranger yet is if I simply load the file into the ROXIO editor then "save as" back into the same folder (overwrite) the file can then be brought into Photoshop with no problem! Any ideas?

    Noel,
    Will try to keep short.
I reinstalled Photoshop CS4 from the cd CS set. Did not uninstall first. Restarted PC and Photoshop. Still failed the same way with a 3001 image.
Did the following, changing one item in the Edit->Preference->GPU Setting. After each change, closed Photoshop, reopened, brought in 3001 image, restored original setting. 3001 failed each time.
    * Unchecked Enable OpenGL Drawing
    * Advanced setup: Unchecked Advanced Drawing.
    * Advanced setup: Unchecked Color Matching
Next went to the Edit->Color Profile.
Scanned thru options and saw in the Convert Options: Engine. It was set to Adobe (ACE). ACE was the module name in the error detail!
Only other option for this is Microsoft ICM. Changed to that, close/open Photoshop and 3001 came in no problem. So did the Nikon 3000, srgb IEC 61922 2.1 and Untagged. However, when briging in an Adobe RGB(1998) image Photoshop notes Profile Mismatch. It allows me to decide what to do (use embedded profile instead of workspace; convert color to work space color; discard embedded profile. and I choose use the convert color and it loads ok. At least it loads the image! Will use this approach for now. I need to get educated on color profiles!!

  • Best Practice - load external image including rollovers

I am attempting to use the loader component to load an
external jpg, but experience issues having my flash app
successfully load a roll-over image from an external source when
the user rolls over the intital jpg. I am not a flash developer
(actually a .net developer trying to help a graphics guy out).
I started with the loader component, converted it to a movie
clip and then utilized the on(rollover) and on(rollout) events to
change the loader component's contentPath property at runtime via
ActionScript. I am not getting consistent results with this
strategy - what is the best way to accomplish this? Also note I
tried converted to a button, which seemed more logical, but the
loader component doesn't seem to like being converted to a button.
    Regards,
    Daflookie

    Daflookie,

    movie

    events

Check out the Loader class in the Components Language
    Reference. Loader
extends MovieClip, so there's no need to convert to a movie
    clip symbol. In
addition, I recommend scrapping on() in favor of MovieClip
    events, which
will probably be closer to your .NET point of view that the
    older
on/onClipEvent approach to event handling (those are Flash
    5-era).
Honestly, though, if you simply want to load images, I would
    forego the
Loader component (no need for all that overhead) and use
    MovieClipLoader to
load your images into the user's Internet cache. You'll see a
    good handful
of events under that class listing as well (see the
    ActionScript 2.0
    Language Reference).

  • How to remove flickering in a animation done by loading different image files

    Hello Everyone,
I have done a character animation by loading multiple images one after another at runtime or dynamically by accessing files from there path directly.
But the problem I am facing is, I am getting a white bg or delay when the images change, it kind of feels like the images are flickering. How can I get rid of this flicker.
    Thank you.
    Iceheros

When loading images from a server during runtime you can never be sure that there will be no delay.
What you could do is write a function, that checks with a progress Event how much of the next picture is loaded and base the percentage of the current pictures alpha channel on this figure.
Say the progressEvent from your Loader returns a number like 0.1....1.0 (10%...100% of the next picture are loaded)
    Then in an eneterframe you could use that number to modify the current Pictures alpha (like img.alpha = 1.0- progress);
A clear disadvantage is, that the tweens will always be different (depending on picture size/network traffic)

  • Slow loading of images

When I go to a web page with lots of images (basically, all of them) Safari loads the text portion of the page promptly, then hangs up and waits and after an excruciatingly long time will give up and load question marks for all the images. If I reload the page the images immediately load properly. Sometimes I'll stop the loading process while it's hung up, and reload the page, and again all images appear fairly promptly. Anyone else having this problem? It helps to empty the cache and clear the history, but I can't do that every time I load an image heavy page. Any ideas?
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.3.4)

    Hi Elaine,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    Two areas to check:
Safari Preferences>Appearance panel. Make sure the "image load" selection is checked. If not, do so, then try a page load again.
Otherwise, go to your System Preferences>Network>TCP panel. There, enter 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 (separate lines) in the DNS servers box. Then select "apply".
Restart Safari and try the page load again.
I notice your tag says 10.3.4. Is this correct? Latest version of OS X Panther is 10.3.9, which would give you an upgraded version of Safari (v 1.3.2). You can upgrade via Software Update in System Preferences. If you do this, do not use the computer during the upgrade process. After finished, make sure you "repair permissions" using Disk Utility>First Aid Panel ini your Utilities folder.

  • Loading large images

    Hi there,
I'm facing lot of problem while loading large image (25+ MB JPG/TIFF) in editor pane using ImageIO. I always get OuofMemory exception or my machine (p4 2.4ghz/512 ddr) get hangs. Is there any way to load large images within a moment in Java? I have seen one s/w (written in vc++) that do the same. I'm trying to replicate that s/w.
Is there any 3rd party Java API to do the same? Have you guys develop similar s/w before?
I've tried many ways: by changing heap size, using ImageMagick, spliting the image, etc. but never get satisfactory results.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

You can use Java Advanced Image
    http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jai/downloads/download-1_1_2.html
this will avoid the out of memory error.
I use it to read and show 20K*20K pixel images.
    the loading is immadiate.
If you use javax.media.jai.widget.ScrollingImagePanel (deprecated) class to visulize the image is quite quick.
Obviouse that if you want to visualize the entire image you will need to wait an approprite time for rescaling it.

  • IWeb 09, Pages 09, and Keynote 09 can't load iPhoto images in media browser

Ever since yesterday, my iWeb 09, Pages 09, and Keynote 09 have been experiencing problems loading iPhoto 09 images in the media browser. I have no problems loading my audio files, movie files, and widgets, but when it comes to iPhoto picture files, the system just hangs. Luckily, it doesn't crash; it just says "Loading iPhoto images" forever.
I'm guessing that the problem is with iPhoto 09, because the media browser has no problems loading my Aperture picture files.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can get iWeb, Pages, and Keynote to load my iPhoto pics in the media browser?
    Thanks!

    1. Quit iPhoto.
    2. Go to your Pictures Folder (or where ever you have your Library) and find the iPhoto Library there (Your Donor Library).
    3. Right Click on it, and from the resulting menu select ‘Show Package Contents’. A Finder window will open and the Library will be exposed.
    4. Find the following files
    AlbumData.xml
    AlbumData2.xml
and move them to the desktop.
    5. Close up the Library and restart iPhoto. This will force iPhoto to rebuild those files which are key to sharing.
Then restart the other apps and see does that help.
By the way: where is your Library? On the Start Up Disk? On an external?
    Regards
    TD

  • 10.5.5 Installation - hangs at desktop background image - Safe Boot?

Used the updater to install 10.5.5. A number of additional updates came down and all seemed to install fine. The 10.5.5 update did not install and provided an error. I tried again and on restart the system hangs at the desktop image. It gets past the grey apple screen and loads the desktop image. A small mouse arrow pointer comes up that I can move around but that is far as it goes. This is an iMac 24" with 4GB RAM.
Is there an option where I can "Safe Boot" and roll back the attempted installation? I have a time machine disk that I will unplug - but how can I recover from that if there is no "safe boot" option?

I've spent a lot of time digging around in the guts of OS X, Tiger and Leopard both. There is no magic
going on in there. If the right files are present and working and the caches and boot files are
functional, the OS works, if not you have problems or the OS quits working.
+"Apple tells us those messages are accurate but can be ignored. What makes you think their+
+absence is a sign that the updates have been properly registered with the database that keeps+
    +track of such things?"+
    Definition: SUID (set user ID):
The SUID permission causes a script to run as the user who is the owner of the script, rather than the user who started it. What the SUID warning message is saying is that according to the install
database, the information the database has about that file (file size, modification date, checksum,
etc.) is different from the actual state of the file as it now exists on your hard drive. Because a
"SetUID root" (in other words, an executable file whose owner is "root" (aka system) and who has
its SetUID bit set) executable file has the power to run as root right as you launch it, you need to
be very careful about setting the permissions on files so that you create SetUID root executables
willy nilly. The warning means that because the executable is different from what Disk Utility
expected, it's not going to try to verify or repair the permissions on that file.
How did it get that way? A glitch in the install program and/or a file was locked and didn't get
updated properly during the update process.
+"Apple tells us those messages are accurate but can be ignored. What makes you think their absence is a sign that the updates have been properly registered with the database that keeps track of such things?"+
Well just for grins, I opened up a 10.5.5 combo update, the /library/receipts/db/a.receiptdb file
and compared the following files mentioned in this typical DU permissions repair warning:
Warning: SUID file "usr/libexec/load_hdi" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DiskManagement.framework/Versions/A/Resources /DiskManagementTool" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DesktopServicesPriv.framework/Versions/A/Reso urces/Locum" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Install.framework/Versions/A/Resources/runner " has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Admin.framework/Versions/A/Resources/readconf ig" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Admin.framework/Versions/A/Resources/writecon fig" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "usr/libexec/authopen" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Resources/OwnerGroupTool" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Using Pacifist, I compared the permissions in the 10.5.5 combo receipt database file and 10.5.5
combo update package against the actual files on the hard drive. They were all indeed identical.
I extracted the files to the desktop from the combo update, loaded them into hex fiend, loaded
the matching files from my hard drive into hex fiend and compared them. They were identical
in size byte for byte and in data with the 10.5.5 combo update.
I will continue to use my method, for I found that none of the discrepancies that you claimed
may exist did not in fact exist.

  • How do I run a simple script that loads an image into photoshop CS - CS4?

    Hello,
I am at a loss on how to get my simple application to work. I have a small desktop air application that simply opens Photoshop and runs an action. I used switchboard and the application ran great on PC and MAC. However it only worked for CS3, and CS4 not CS or CS2?. Plus the size of switchboard was a bit large for my small app. I am willing to live with that though . I am using Air with Flex and wanted to know if perhaps there is a beter approach? All the application does is open photoshop, loads an image, and runs an action. Can I do this for all versions of Photoshop using switchboard? Can I do this without switchboard and just use javascript. The big issue is the Air app needs to open Photoshop, and most of the examples have me open PS first and then execute a script located in the PS directory. This needs to work outside of the PS directory. Any examples are appreciated.
I have looked at the following:
    - SwitchBoard : only works for CS3-CS4 (on my tests)
    - PatchPanel: same issue, plus seperate SDKs
    - ExtendScript: requires script to be run from PS not Air

  • Extension Manager CS6 hangs on "Loading Extensions" and I cannot uninstall it.

    Hello,
I've been having trouble with extension manager cs6 for about two days now, trying to apply patches to it to make it run more smoothly and stop hanging on "Loading Extensions". I have looked through these forums and they suggested that I remove all mxi files from a subfolder called "EM Store", but I cannot find a EM store under the proper location. I also cannot uninstall extension manager from my control panel, as it does not show up. I am just trying to get keyframe caddy for Adobe Flash, but I cannot get it without extension manager which is a giant pain. I've seen other people post both of their log files, but I think that just makes these forums impossible to find any real answers, as the majority of it is the log file. Please help asap, as I need this project that I am doing to be done fairly quickly.
    Short story:
    1. Manager hangs at "Loading Extensions"
    2. Tried patching with updates, did not work
    3. Tried finding the two subfolders, cannot find them at all in proper location
    4. Cannot uninstall it from control panel
    5. Need Help asap

You should delete EM Store and Database, then try again, you can find these folders under following path:
Current Machine's Extension Manager CS6 folder: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6, under this path you should remove "EM Store", "Mxi Flag" and "Configuration" folder.
Current user's Extension Manager CS6 folder:  C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6, under this path you should remove "EM Store", "Mxi Flag" and "Configuration" folder.
For the 'AppData' is a hidden folder, you could follow this guider (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-7/) to unhidden it
